The company i work for switched to Sav RX at the beginning of the year. It has been a complete nightmare ever since. The technology (website etc.) is out of date, and on top of it (quoted from the source) they were bought out by some other company late last year (something did not tell their new clients) , and instead of integrating, they just layered their system on top of it, so even their own employees have issues. There is nothing predictive, and if you are with a large medical network like Multi Care, Kaiser or such, it will take forever because you have a big system trying to work logically with an out of date program, and you will take time of work to sit on the phone for hours calling back and forth trying to facilitate a simple script. Then, if you notice your script is running out and you think, hey, nobody let me know, since pretty much every pharmacy on the planet has some kind of nudge system, well, now you are in big trouble, because they need 7-10 days to process your order, but you MUST contact them for the next order, AND they will not initiate that order until the magical date of eligible fulfillment (let me clarify, if you try to trigger even one day before the magical date, it will act like it processed, but go nowhere, because it is not after the magical date, even if you call and talk to a human, they won't enter the order, you will have to call back) , which is 2 days before you run out (real life experience, not always the case) , and 7-10 before you will receive it. and if it is a refrigerated item, well, you better take the call, because they will call you on day 10 and say, ok, we are ready to ship, is now a good time? You think I am being snarky, I am not, this is REAL! They insisted that getting my meds from them saved them money, and would not let me use my local pharmacy, i then did the math for them. The drug cost was identical (yes, even on the back end) but they now, not only wasted my time, because I have to take off work so i can waste hours on the phone back and forth, but now they have to pay to ship it. how is that costing them less money? math don't math. Their people, top notch. When you get a hold of someone, you will generally (only 1 not so great) get the most amazing kind person. it is there only saving grace. Insurance providers are all awful, but this organization....top notch horrible, and out of touch with modern times. One last caveat, you might think, oh, she just had a rough go, she is old (not really) maybe it was just confusing, nope, Every person in our organization that had anything more than a standard drug, had issues. we are 7 mos in, and one that I know personally is STILL battling to get his required to keep living medicine. At one point, they told him he needed to talk to the manufacture of the medicine, and see if he could arrange a coupon. I also take this medicine, not as dire, it took me 3 mos, to get it sorted, but now the challenge has started all over again, because they now say i need a new script for EVERY refill. So, if you are stuck with it like I am, I am sorry, hang in there. If you are shopping for a pharmacy, move on, buy it off the street, literally ANY other pharmacy than this place. read more

If I could give them negative stars, I would. If I had the choice between being given $100 million or watching Sav-Rx go out of business, I'm not sure which one I would pick. It's always a constant struggle to obtain any prescription. Multiple calls and e-mails from myself and my doctor, and maybe several months later if you're lucky they'll finally fill your prescription. If your employer switches your prescription drug coverage to Sav-Rx I would encourage you to find a new job as quickly as you can, preferably with an employer who isn't actively trying to harm you. Just an unmitigated disaster. But hey, at least the cost of all my prescriptions increased when my employer switched to Sav-Rx. read more

IBEW switched to this plan for prescription coverage. 1 star is generous. Absolutely the worst service I have ever received. Now they have declined one of my meds offering instead to cover 300 of the 1000 dollars it costs. Even if they agree to covering the med, good luck actually receiving it. They will bog you down in paperwork and phone calls, multiple hoops to jump through. This has to be illegal! If anyone wants to start a class action, let me know. I'M IN!! They shut down Google reviews after multiple negatives, glad to see people coming over to Yelp to tell the truth. read more

I HATE dealing with this company. I HAD to take Nurtec and fail it in order to get Ubrelvy. I've been taking Ubrelvy for four years due to migraines. The company counted ME, and asked if I would like 16 tablets a month instead of the 10 I normally get, because my migraines are SO BAD. I said yes, I'd love that. They did NOT approve it, which is fine- I do what I have to do for the migraines. They said I'd still get 10 a month. I called in March to get my prescription sent, and was told I'd have to fail Nurtec AGAIN, in order to get my Ubrelvy. This is complete nonsense- I failed it once, that is the ONLY way I'd have been able to get Ubrelvy. These people don't care, they are NOT doctors, nurses, have ZERO medical training yet they are NOT doing what my doctors say needs to be done. I'd rather go to my local pharmacy and get my prescriptions, but NO! In order to not pay over $1,000.00 for 10 pills I HAVE to go through them. I absolutely fight with them all the time to get my medications. It's not right! I urge ANY Sheet Metal workers in Union 24 out of Dayton to complain to the hall...they said everyone is happy with this insurance for the Union, and I know for a FACT they are NOT. We have to pay for our prescriptions up front, mail everything in to get reimbursed, which takes WELL OVER a month if not longer to receive a check in the mail. This is completely outrageous. Do NOT deal with these people if you can help it. The customer service is a joke as well. The value of this is insane and my husband pays $20.00 on t try he hour, taken out of his check to pay for insurance that is so poorly managed and lacking it's not worth what we pay, at all! They also only allow selected prescriptions, and you have to meet your deductible before they reimburse you for your meds. So basically, we have NO insurance for our prescriptions. Yet that $20.00 is taken out EVERY HOUR. I only gave one star, because you HAVE to give a star, otherwise it would be ZERO stars. read more

If I could rate it lower I would. This company is everything wrong with benefits. Since when did a company that loses money on certain med choices know better than my doctor? My experience has been lots of dishonesty, inconsistent answers, rules changing, and unprofessional behavior. For 8 years I was able to maintain remission but 30 days of their garbage medication management and I'm in relapse of symptoms. Save a few bucks with this trash company will cost my health insurance at least 100k covering the fall out. Good RX has WAY better options. SavRX increased my cost by a lot. Have trouble with getting my temp sensitive medication filled/shipped every time. It's always someone else's fault. Have been told by them to not use the app but to call instead. I call 2 weeks ahead of time and get a call on the day of the scheduled delivery that it was out of stock and will be shipped next week. I have ran out of my most important prescription every time since our benefits switched to this company. Business owners/Benefit coordinators, stay far away from Sav-RX or your employees will suffer and you will have a complaint nightmare on your hands. I give them 0 stars. This company has the worst customer service I have ever encountered. One of every 3 times I try to refill my prescription there is a problem - usually with the savings card. They will take my order then run the card. If it is declined or there is an issue they just cancel my order and NEVER EVEN CALL ME. When I finally call to find out where my medication is they simply say they cancelled the order because there is no money on the savings card. Last time this happened there was over $10K on the card but they never bothered to investigate. This then messed up the dates when my insurance will provide refills so now I can't even take my meds on time. They even refused to overnight the scrip when it was clearly their fault! They require someone to take 3 oral pills with a high A1c to cover. Like why not cover the medicine so a patient A1c can stay below 6. Trash company and dont care about people's health whatsoever. No stars. At all. I hate specialty pharmacies. They never seem to have the skills needed to actually fulfill pharmaceutical needs without 500% extra, unnecessary, effort on the part of the consumer. I have been trying to get my prescription for WEEKS. I have had 5 conversations with different people stating that they had everything they needed, then "oops, something was put in the wrong spot," then "oops, it wasn't put in the right spot, we need it again," or "we missed a number," blah blah blah, "we didn't have it as virtual, our bad." All the while, I have no symptom relief because they can't get their process right and can't figure out that the order didn't go through for days. My child nearly died from a seizure, he's now prescribed an emergency nasal spray that will stop his seizure immediately and the geniuses at Savrx say it's not the first line of defense so denying it. Even though our Dr sends a prescription for a brand name drug, they try to fill it with a generic which causes it to go into a prior authorization with our insurance company. Our doctor must then be contacted who then must contact the pharmacy to instruct them to fill it as prescribed. Then....they may not have it in stock, which causes another delay. It takes multiple phone calls, over multiple days, to get one prescription filled. read more

Decided to go to neurologist due to the debilitating migraines and hoping this would help. I do like the fact that you get to speak to a human when calling for a refill, but getting the refill processed is another story. I have consistently had issues with receiving my medication in a timely manner and have had to change the dates of my every two week maintenance injection every time I order a refill. The members website does not allow scheduling delivery so I call for the refill and schedule the delivery. I get text messages for me to call and schedule a delivery even though I have already scheduled it. Makes me wonder if maybe it's a competency issue. Packaging for refrigerated medication isn't always good. During the hottest part of the summer I received the medication at a warm temperature and was told by Sav-Rx it was fine. Not sure why this type (refrigerated) isn't shipped overnight. I miss Express Scripts! read more

If I could give these morons a negative star rating I would have. I've only been dealing with them for a few months and I've missed taking my Humira shot 3 times now because of their incompetence. I've been taking Humira for about 6 years and with my old pharmacy I never missed one shot. Also, the savrx website looks like a 4 year old built it. They have mismanaged my prescriptions, required unreasonable amount of paperwork from my physician and claim they never received it when my physician complies with their requests, unprofessional customer service AND they refuse to expedite shipping nor allow local pharmacy pickup. DO NOT USE this pharmacy if you don't have to. Their standard of care can only be described as negligent. Their service has been such a headache that I have decided to obtain my medication from a different pharmacy outside of my insurance. Zero stars! I have issues renewing my prescription every month. They will not allow auto renew and I have to call every month to order my single medication I have been on for years. I did not receive 3 months worth of supply due to their incompetence and I have issues renewing every month. The 3 month supply was never received and they would not provide that to me so I live on the edge every month as to whether I will receive my medication on time. I am immuno compromised and missing medication is extremely detrimental to my health. They are the chosen company for my union or I would have dropped the years ago. Luckily our insurance is now allowing us to use a different provider for our 90 day supply medication. Was forced to use them for over a year and never once did it not take several emails / phone calls to get the prescription ordered. When you call they really don't seem to care. They just keep saying that they haven't received it from my doctor. They even sent me an email saying that they couldn't refill because my doctor wasn't responding but the app showed that the prescription was being processed. My insurance requires that I use this useless company (Sav-Rx). They can never expedite meds . They have no reminders when your script is due which would benefit them since my drug costs over 6,000 dollars a month. If you don't call by Tuesday , then you have to wait 7 days for a med that is overnighted anyway because it's refrigerated. Terrible service . Wish I didn't have to use them. My last employers specialty pharmacy called me when it was due , they didn't let any money slip through there hands. And they cared that I needed the medication, and that as humans , we forget especially when their patient has a memory condition that this medication is treating. Sav-Rx sucks. Their main mission is to deny any new breakthrough medication or any medication that they deem expensive. If some new medication comes on the market that may change your life. Sav-Rx says don't even think about it. You ain't getting that from us. They play god with your life. They want you to order your meds from them at a 10 day delivery time. Can you imagine needing and counting on you meds dearly and having to wait 10 days to get it. Told my Dr office I'd get my medicine in 24-48 hours. When they didn't show up I was told I had a two month old balance that I never was billed for. Paid it so I can get chemo meds. Then said they'll mail it out on Monday regular mail. No rush at all from them....... But then again they aren't the ones needing chemo. read more

I think people have varying opinions based on the specific insurance coverage that they have. I have never had a problem with Sav-Rx. I find them to be very friendly, and you get real people that answer the phone, not a machine. Mail-order is only mandatory for maintenance medications that you take on a regular basis. If it is something you need immediately (like if you get sick and need an antibiotic), you can go to your local pharmacy to get it. If you waited too long to get your Rx then it's your fault, not Sav-Rx's. Yes you have to "remember to call every three months" but otherwise you would have to remember to go to the pharmacy to get a refill each MONTH (or sometimes make a doctor appt to get a new Rx, etc.). Once you get used to it, it is not a problem at all. read more

I got stuck with this crappy company through my employer provided insurance on March 1st. I am so annoyed that I HAVE to use mail order prescriptions rather than being able to pick up my prescriptions locally when I need them and have them immediately. I don't have prescriptions on a whim. When they are written, they are needed. Horrible customer service. Slow to fill prescriptions, takes up to 2 WEEKS to get your medication filled and mailed to you. Stock answers and no help from "customer service" just "takes 5-7 business days from time of shipping, not including weekends." I would have paid out of pocket to a local pharmacy had I known that. You can call them 24x7 7 days a week, but what for if they only actually work M-F 8a-6p CST? Mail order prescriptions are a total joke and this one is right at the crappiest end of the spectrum. Not to mention the prices they list for medications through them is grossly inflated. I can get 80 pills of a particular medication through my local Costco for out of pocket expense of about $12 and the same medication listed on their website for 90 pills is over $175. That kind of price gouging should be criminal. I will be filing a formal complaint with my company and probably with the Washington State Insurance commission to document this ridiculous company. read more

This company is so un-user friendly to the point that it's dangerous. Why you are forced to use mail order for long term prescriptions is beyond me. It would be REALLY convenient if it operated like blue mail and they would continue to send you your prescription until it ran out but they don't. You have to remember to call every three months and request that they send it to you. Customer service and getting your prescriptions on time with Sav Rx is the worst!! the people are rude and they never contact you when a prescription cannot be sent out. I have a cancer that went into remission because of my medication but when it took two months to get get my prescription with them they had every excuse in the book not to give it to me. MY CANCER WENT OUT OF REMISSION DUE TO THEM NOT GETTING MY MEDS IN A TIMELY FASHION. Worst drug company ever!! read more
