So Savage Salads, the stand where people will form a long orderly line both for payment and collection.
What do they serve? Salad. Each box gets some leafy greens and any of the four salads on offer that day, choose one, choose four, it's up to you. Grilled chicken and halloumi are on offer for £1 extra.
Order, and then join the collection queue where 3-4 people are preparing orders, 1 each for the cooking of chicken and halloumi and a couple working on the serving of the salads. You don't have to wait too long, it does move quickly.
Is it crazy to queue up? I don't know, it depends for me. I've had them a couple of times, but there's also been other occasions where I've looked at what they have and decided not to get it. As their salads rotate, sometimes what they have doesn't interest me. However, when they do have what I want, it's a good salad. £6 might sound like a lot, but it's central London and I've got a nice salad with a good helping of chicken and a couple pieces of pitta. You could do a lot worse!
