Picked before I arrived. No mention that the rugs alone were over $12,000! I picked them and when I expressed alarm at the price she informed me that it happens all the time! This before fixtures, bar stools, drapes and without painting. There lies the problem. Her associate pushed a paint color that concerned me. I trusted her and spent over $4,000 having my WHOLE HOUSE painted in that color. Alas, it made my antique white kitchen cabinets look yellow. When I complained, she gave me a massive attitude and refused to do anything about it. When someone asked on Nextdoor, I was truthful and I was contacted by her lawyer with a threatening letter. She stopped mid job. Still has a mirror that I paid for in May and is withholding information with the status of delivery. Also she cancelled my barstool order (which came from pottery barn-for that I needed a decorator) and is withholding the fabric I paid for her to select for my drapes and bar stools! Plus her lawyer lied via email that the mirror had been delivered. I have certification from not only the vendor but UPS and an email from her paralegal that this was a replacement for a defectove lamp shade! If she never gets a bad review it's because she threatens. I've heard this from multiple sources. This is my opinion. Btw. I am happy to provide pictures to anyone who asks for my cabinet/paint design.

The kitchen was really the only thing prior to buying the house that had been updated. I really did not want to replace them. However, what did remain in the kitchen was a very ugly utility type cabinet with glass doors. The cabinet was extremely useful, it just looked like it did not belong in the kitchen, it matched nothing else in the kitchen or the adjoining rooms in the house. I contacted kitchen cabinet distributors, installation companies, the original kitchen cabinet manufacturer to see if I could have something built to fit the space and match the cabinets. This type of custom cabinet is not what they do. Then I found Carolina Coastal Services. The price was very fair, the delivery estimate was reasonable, and they were willing to work with me in finding a custom solution. When the installation was complete, it was completed on schedule, even given the task of matching the existing cabinet design and finish. I was extremely pleased with the staff, and the finished product. I could not have been more pleased how this new cabinet marched so well, fit in, and enhanced the look of the interior of the house. I will call them again for any custom cabinet, furniture, or construction projects. Based on my experience with Carolina Coastal Services, I can recommend them for home projects. (photos attached)

The team was great to work with and was respectful of our property and responsive to any questions or requests we had. They even repaired a chip that the flooring installers had made to the bottom of one of the cabinets which they didn't have to do. They had everything spelled out in the contract so I knew exactly what they would and wouldn't do when it came to the kitchen renovations. They provided the names of other tradespeople to do the wall repairs and tiling. The other tradespeople did an excellent job as well so you can see they vetted whoever they recommended. Lukejohn avoids calls, doesn't call back, doesn't provide updates and doesn't deliver on promises. I mean, a simple google search on the guy should tell you all that you need to know when two of the first things that pop up are his mugshot and a breach of contract lawsuit. Sad excuse of a "business", so frustrating and really disappointing. The worst part is my parents are the ones dealing with this company. The kitchen and master bath were supposed to be finished by Labor Day 2024, it was then pushed back to thanksgiving 2024 and the kitchen was barely useable then. The master bath was completed may 9th and the kitchen is STILL not done. 90% of the cost of the cabinets was paid in October in preparation for delivery and they still don't have the finished cabinets. A year ago they were so excited about their new house and since then, they have been constantly let down by this company and it has turned their excitement of starting a new chapter of life in a new home into a complete nightmare. Finally, my mom asked me to call Lukejohn as a last resort after trying to get ahold of him for days/ weeks. And guess what...he answered the phone! When I told him who I was he rudely told me he was out of town and busy and someone would be reaching out that day. They then gave them a July 1st date, which has since turned into August 4th. incredibly pathetic.
