I was really nervous because I have read that this could potentially cost thousands of dollars. Holton Plumbing came out within a few hours and fixed the problem! It cost us a little over a hundred dollars!!!! They were very efficient and had great customer service! I have used many plumbers in this town, Henry's (very expensive and they would not come out when we were having a major plumbing emergency on a weekend!!), Roto Rooter (they are good if something breaks down on a Sunday evening and you need someone right then! This kind of service cost us a little over $250 for about 30 minutes of work), but for anything else I would highly recommend Holton Plumbing! They charge $95 an hour, plus supplies, which is very reasonable for a plumber (The going rate in Savannah seems to be $180 per hour!! They showed up on time, were thorough in their inspection, and at the end, while I didn't have a plumbing leak they could fix, they recommended courses of action to take to remediate based on their inspection, which revealed a gap in the base of a piece of clapboard far up the side of the house that we hadn't noticed before, and it was the reason the leak was only happening in wind-driven rain and not just heavy rain. Only wind could blow it up into that crevice. Ivan was the tech and was very knowledgeable and professional. Would definitely recommend them and use them again if a leak issue comes up.
