I was extremely pleased with my second visit here. It totally made up for my first visit in which I had used a Groupon and one of the ladies almost didn't honor it but before I left she said she would. Luckily she had done my eyebrows very well and so I thought a second visit was in order. On my second visit i walked in and was instantly seated and tended too. I loved that. The lady was quick and efficient and kind as well. I was extremely pleased with the results and purchased their membership for $30. It will take $4 off each visit for eyebrows which originally is $12. The location is very nice and elegantly decorated. They offer many other services. Glad I didn't have an important event to attend. Definitely plan on mentioning it the next visit & stressing the importance of being gentle. ---- This place is similar to their MacArthur location, but has some differences. It is bigger & the check in process is through an actual person versus a list plus there's so much more seating (something MacArthur needs). I have tried multiple threaders at MacArthur and it was good, but things started to change and they just weren't listening anymore. They were like robots just producing stencil eyebrows. I was able to try Susan one day & I'm never going back! She actually took the time to listen to what I wanted, talk about what she was going to do, and did one step at a time, allowing me to double check. I've been using the threading services with Sarvarnas for nearly 9 years. I've been to the Chesapeake, Norfolk, Hampton and Va. Beach locations. Overall I've been pleased with the service and results but Susan at the Laskin Road is the best. I had been once and a different young lady made my brows too thin. It took about 3 months before I could go back. From that time on, I only go when Susan is there!! She listens, does a little bit, asks for feedback along the way. I purchased a Groupon for the eyelash extensions with the two-week fill. The salon is located at the La Promenade shopping center, off Laskin Road. I made both the initial and refill appointments with Erica. She was very friendly and really takes her time with her work. I have a hard time staying still, but none of that phased her at all and she remained efficient and meticulous the entire time. Each lash hair is applied one by one, so expect your visit to last close to an hour and a half. Overall, it was an okay experience. It looked great after she was done, but a few days later (even following post-care instructions), a few lashes had already fallen off. They said they should last about 2-4 weeks, but by the first week, about half were gone. I did mention this to Erica at my refill appointment and she said if any fall off within the first couple days, to come back and she would reapply. I appreciated that. Some had fallen a couple days out, but I was too busy to return, so all good. So, it has not been 2 weeks yet since my refill, and there are maybe 2 or 3 lashes left, lol. Oh well, it's not for everyone but it was different to try! Take heed- they are a bit pushy selling their own products. You may even feel slightly offended when they point out what's wrong with your skin, followed by a recommendation of their product and a skin care routine. I came for lashes, not a skin consultation. I think the young ladies who work here are fantastic, very sweet. My first visit, was my first experience with threading. I wanted to get away from waxing. My first visit was not a pleasant one. I had a groupon for eyebrows and lip threading. Uncomfortable, and painful. And there were patches of skin missing, which gave me a weird look for several days. Once a young girl did my brows, they were perfectly shaped, but tiny! Took way too much off, I had to wait a really long time to let all of the hair grow back before I could visit again. It took 4 visits for me to be satisfied with my results, 4 different people. When you realize that people would all rather wait for one person, than to take the next available chair, you know who to go to. Savarna has since redeemed themselves. I ended up purchasing a membership, I got a facial at a discount (chesapeake location), and got a brow tinting (not recommended for the $$). read more

So tomorrow is my 21st birthday, and I wanted to get henna done! I have raved about it for months. I finally get my first henna tattoo today, and it was not what I expected it to be. Attached is the picture with the blue background of what I wanted, and then a picture of my hand. Before i got my hand done, my friend got her henna tattoo on her side; and she wasn't happy at all. She kept asking for the lady to add more things and fix things, and she just really didn't do much to help my friend out. My friend even vocalized that she didn't like it and that it doesn't look anything like the picture she showed her. Attached is a picture tire of what she wanted vs what she got. If you can't do what I want, be honest - i'll go somewhere else. Don't be money hungry AND talentless. Read through and go be the first one to get a free 20 service or product . I have business here, grew up here and come back in from Los Angeles on a regular basis. I normally use Savanna's and in the past had great service. This time not so much. I went in last Saturday before a holiday event the next day. Brows and full face, my brows look disheveled so the tech picks up a product she said would fill in where the microblading was lightening up . So I bought the product. I got home and realized they had given me the wrong product, it was clear and I had that already ..they were closed so I ran into ultra and picked up what I needed. Monday I returned to savarnss because they missed half my right eyebrow. The tech had just used the clear gel to smooth it. I also went to return the product they gave me by mistake. They said the manager wasn't there, I would have to email her or come back on Friday. I came back today to see the manage and there was another customer buying a gift membership .. she kept trying to quiet me as I was speaking to the tech who sold me the wrong item. As soon as the man left, she said she couldn't return over thirty days. I said it was last Saturday. They asked for the receipt, I said they kept it the first time I came in to return. She looked up the receipt and said I could give you a gift card. I said no, this is not my error. This is yours and I never opened the product. She said that is our policy, I said I am not here all the time and I am not coming back to do my brows since they screwed up a simple. And this wasn't my mistake. The manager said it was store policy, I explained it is a bad police when it is the stores error. I've come here three times for eyebrows and the service has been just fine but nothing too spectacular. But this time was absolutely awful. I came in and I asked for my eyebrows to remain at the same level of thickness, but for a clean up, and my natural arch to be accentuated. What I saw in the mirror when she was finished was my left eyebrow reduced to half its size, its arch completely gone, and a stinging welt under my eye. My left eyebrow was a thin semi circle now. My right eyebrow on the other hand was still somewhat thick, but not cleaned up, as if the technician gave up halfway. I came into my car and just burst into tears because I spent 14 dollars(!!!) on ruined eyebrows that I have to walk around with for a at least a month now. Located in the same shoppong center as Aldos (GPS has no clue). As you walk in, you can't help but to notice how beautifully it is decorated, however the concrete floors had me worried. To the right, 4 very low chairs (trendy but with my long legs, hard to get out of), to the right, the reception area, and straight ahead lots of chairs that are used for threading (eyebrows people). If I were there for my eyebrows, I would nt want other watching my pain! I was there to cash in my Groupon for a facial. I was greeted by a friendly girl and we proceeded to the restroom first, which was very large, however, the acoustics in there were far more than what is needed to do your business! Really need more furniture in there to absorb the sound! We then proceeded to the room. It was very dimly lit and I undressed from the waist up and got all snuggly on the bed. I was very comfortable! Once we started, she was very professional. The facial felt great, however, the massage was lacking in any type of pressure (kind of like a child massaging you), so I would've rather just had that part skipped, due to disappointment. She explained the process throughout and I enjoyed that. Once we got to the mask portion, I can only assume a party was going on outside the room, as it was so loud and not by any means relaxing. People were laughing and carrying on... one woman laughs thru her pain of threading, which was comical, however, I was there to relax, not here people laugh and make commotion. Once we were finished, I dressed and headed out to be informed of their products, which I'm sure are great, however, I need to see how everything works before I purchase, also I do not need to go over my private skin conditions in front of others, that is personal, like at the doctor's office. I've been going here since they were in the mall and it is the only place I go to get my eyebrows done. It's slightly more painful than you would hope, but it's worth every moment. I hate getting my eyebrows waxed because it doesn't shape as well, but getting them threaded is like a magic trick. They are so fast and efficient and it's only $12.00! After going for a while it doesn't hurt as bad and it's a ton faster than tweezing them out myself which I consider to be a million times more painful. I highly recommend their business! read more

I've been seeing Simran now for a few months and my expectations have been far exceeded. I use their facial and threading services monthly and each visit my skin has gotten better and better. The experience is relaxing, enjoyable and serene. And credit to their skin care line is also in order. I had lashes applied on Friday for a special occasion and a trial run for my wedding. They started coming of the day I left the salon. They were crossed and wouldn't stay in place looking very strange. It's now Sunday evening and I'm planning to leave town tomorrow so I have to get these craZy things off of my eyes (what's left of them)! The lashes come off by themselves but now I have clumps of black glue left on my lashes I lost my own lashes in this process! There's a bit of a hard sell to buy product also! I have been going to Savarnas around the area since 2015 and this is my usual eyebrow threading place. After waiting nearly 20 minutes to get my eyebrows threaded because the ladies were trying to sell products to other customers, my ten week old started getting a little fussy. He was making noise but I muffled it in his car seat with white noise which couldn't he heard over the music in the "beauty bar". After my son starts fussing, a lady in a white coat comes out of the back and the lady threading my brows gets tense and uncomfortable. The lady doing my brows asks me if I can quiet him down. I said of course and did just that. She began again and I could tell the threading lady wanted to hurry up and finish because of it. Another lady, who I assume was a facial specialist comes out and says to me "can you take care of her (as in my son) because we have facials going on". I apologized and said of course I will I'm sorry. Clearly with tears in my eyes and my face bright red of embarrassment, the lady threading my brows looks at me and says, actually, we're done. My eyebrows are nowhere even and you can tell which brow she rushed on. I was rushed to pay and check out and as I'm doing so, the lady in the white coat comes over and says "what's wrong with her is something wrong?". I again apologize and reassure her my TEN WEEK OLD SON was just starting to get hungry. She says ok and proceeds to try to get me to buy a membership. Funny, she was just rushing me out the door after my FIVE minute eyebrow threading which is nowhere near even. I will not be returning and this is by far the worst customer service I have ever received. If you don't want children in your establishment, put a sign outside to save future mothers the embarrassment. You should be ashamed. read more

I was confused by this but left the store when she was finished without thinking much of it. Once I got into my car the pain became almost unbearable. I looked in the mirror and noticed bits of my skin missing with many cuts!!! This has NEVER happened to me and I get my eyebrows done ALL THE TIME!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE WHATSOEVER. There must be a reason they are on groupon...better to pay full price at someplace who will allow you to leave happy ladies. I basically paid for pain and scars. I posted a photo of one of my eyebrows but it really doesn't do it justice for how it looks in person. As an update: I called the manager and she said they don't do refunds but said that she would give me a gift card for the service. It was interesting how stingy their company seemed to be because once I told her I had a groupon she ONLY gave me back the amount that I had paid for the service instead of what it normally costs. And was like you can use that towards anything you want. And I proceeded to tell her that I don't care how much the eyebrow threading costs because the least they could do is give me another service for free and that gift card they were giving me doesn't even cover eyebrows at regular price. AFTER pointing that out to her she told me yeah you won't have to pay the difference even though she was definitely trying to get me to pay the difference at first. I usually come here for my eyebrows because they do a pretty good job and the people are nice. My sister also has a membership, so I end up just going with her since she always wants to go here for her eyebrow threading. They always take their time doing my eyebrows. I've never really had a bad experience getting them done here. The only problem is that I really don't like the location. I never like driving around this area because the service roads confuse me. But the bad location doesn't stop me from going here because they really do a good job. read more

I used to get my eyebrows done here for years back when they were at Lynnhaven mall. Ever since they moved to this new location, their customer service has been terrible. Every time I go there I feel like I'm being rushed and they never want to hold any kind of conversation as their answers are always short and flat. My eyebrows, usually the only reason I go, don't even come out "on fleek" anymore. I bought a facial from there during one of my visits (at least $150 if I remember correctly) and unfortunately I was unable to make the appointment due to a last minute family emergency. I went to ask for a refund and they told me they only did store credit (even though my appointment was still a few days away). After explaining why I needed to have that money back they shrugged their shoulders and couldn't help me. If that wasn't worse enough, they refunded my money onto three separate gift cards. So not only did I not want to use their services after that, I didn't a choice but to use them again since my money was on their gift cards. DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES. read more

Before you read any further, just know that I read every single review on here so save your time if you are looking for information to go here or not - simply DO NOT. My wife got her eyebrows threaded today. She has been here before and had bad experiences but gave them the benefit of the doubt. Her eyebrows are normally thick, when she asked for a light clean up they basically cut her brows in half. Despite her obvious displeasure, the staff did nothing to remedy the issue. When she came back out to the car crying at how horribly she was treated I went back inside with her to talk to a manager. She was informed that there was no manager available and that one would call her at 2:30. Of course, we never got a call, and called them back, only to be sent on a wild goose chase through multiple calls and locations dealing with even more rude staff, sighing with annoyance at our call. When we spoke to the Laskin location again, we were told that the manager was busy, but at the location - even though earlier we were told that she was off for the next two days. Obviously, it's not about a 12 dollar refund. If you have a disappointed customer, something needs to be done to keep their business - not treat them disrespectfully. After seeing the other horrible reviews on here we have come to terms that this "manager" will never call her back or fix these issues for her or anyone else, because just like their quality of work, they could care less. read more

The technicians do know what they are doing. Although, sometimes the results are inconsistent. It's a bit pricey, but their sales are good. I usually just do my eyebrows threading it's about 15$ without tip. I don't know enough about their services to really recommend. I would say some additional training and organization would be helpful. read more
