I was hoping for a decent shopping experience when we recently stopped by on a Saturday afternoon, but was extremely underwhelmed. Upon walking in, the market seems outdated and not the cleanest... My family was antsy to get to our destination after a four hour drive, so we were hoping for a quick grocery run, but it was far from quick. They have the basics but not all of the products / brands we were looking for... We added some beverages (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) to our cart, as well as some snacks and went to check out. We chose the shortest line, put our items on the conveyer belt and then were told that the register could not take credit card - only cash or check. Annoying but my husband was willing to pay with cash, so we stayed in that line vs. finding another line to wait in. When it was our turn, we were then told that they were going to reboot the register and that we should move to another lane. We did that and then when I went to pay and showed my license, they had an issue with entering that information, so it literally took another 10 minutes to figure that out. I felt bad for the employee working the register as it was not her fault, clearly, but it was not a good customer experience shopping here. Needless to say, if you have options to shop for your groceries elsewhere, I would advise doing so.

We can find alternative milks and butter, gluten free pastas that are the best kind and all for a pretty reasonable price. There are a few discounts if you belong to a co-op (anywhere in the world we were told), but honestly for what you get it's not too costly in comparison. We love their brown rice gluten free pasta and sauces which can be an easy dinner while on vacation, or we can splurge with some dairy free ice cream or gelato. Yum! If you haven't been in but want to try out something good for you that is also delicious we recommend this store!

There is a small corner where you can get bulk items such as oatmeal, nuts, popcorn, etc. if that's more your speed. They also keep a small fridge in the back for a selection of pre-made cold meals and sides. Again, due to its small size, it is pretty limited on what it offers, but it covers a basic grocery haul. Also, items are typically listed at a higher premium than a standard grocery store because of the local and organic quality of its products. I would recommend dropping by if only to look around and see what's available if you want to shop locally.

I went into the store to get ice and water for a 1/2 Gallon Water Jug. This really rude Jerk yelled at me "Don't even think of filling that Jug with Soda Pop" I don't drink Pop. I just drink water. I was trying to put ice in my Jug. I could here one solid junk of ice in the machine. I only got a few shavings in my jug. The person that I believed to be the owner of the store told me that I would have to pay for a bag of ice if I put ice in my 1/2 gallon Jug. I thought I saw the person that I perceived to be an owner go out a side door. I headed out the side door to show him that I only got a few shavings of ice and thus I would not be paying for a bag of ice. He yelled at me from within the store. He thought I was leaving and stealing a jug full of ice. The Jerk banned me from the Store and told me to never return. It would have cost me over $100.00 to fill my Fuel Tank. I left with 1/8 tank of fuel and made it to Mancelona. I had a wonderful meal at Mancelona BP and filled my Fuel Tank. I find Irony for being banned from a Store that I live 150 miles away from.

But apparently she's only allowed to give one packet of each...regardless of how many sandwiches you buy. You'd think since the mark-up on the samosas at least 100%, they could throw in a couple more mustard packets. Won't be back.
