Stays open late which works for my busy schedule. Kind of lacking with variety of brands and consistency of stock.

At times the lines are long because there are no other registers open to help get the lines down. You end up having to bag your own groceries all the time. They don't say hello nor greet you when you get to them. There is nobody not even security to greet you at the door. It's hard to find good ppl that know where things are in the store & they work there. They need to do better with their reward system. Ppl don't want to have to spend a certain amount of money to get something free. They should be able to earn points to get stuff free. I think from now on I will be sticking with shopping at Giants.

They fully charge my card and expect me to just sit back and not complain about it. This service at this location is terrible. My sister warned me about this store. They need to make sure that Door Dash pick up all the items. Stand next to these people and make sure they grab all the bags. Also, when you call the store the phone keeps ringing. Even the store manager is rude. Of course it's black people with attitudes and I'm black myself but I'm not one of those people who hates doing there job and who are naturally ignorant. I'm sitting here still waiting to get all my food and it's now been 2 hours

Take my review with a grain of salt because I have never been to another hmart before this!…read more I love it here, and they have everything I need for Asian cuisine and then some. My boyfriend is Ecuadorian and they have a pretty loaded Hispanic aisle ironically enough and Tango cookies which are extremely hard to get in the United States, so this is a bonus (no having to wait for abulita to smuggle them back for him, yay!) Prices are average, if anything slightly above average... but I expect this for a specialty store with imported goods. Great location as I'm able to just take the SEPTA to here, works out nice if I wanna make a lil day trip out of it and eat at the food court too. :) Again, I have no other hmarts to compare it to, but it is a tad dirty and run down as far as grocery stores/food markets go. Whole building does smell like fish... but they also *do* have an open fish market thing indoors. Tight aisles. I'm fairly petite and others can squeeze by me, but exactly that: they have to SQUEEZE by me. Nobody with an average height/build could stand comfortably in an aisle with a cart and others get through. Place also isn't huge, but boy, is it packed. As mentioned, it has basically everything you'd need, especially for imported goods. As some other reviews have said, they make you unbag all your stuff and put it back... which is odd, because I'm totally fine with showing my receipt (á la Walmart or any wholesale club like BJs, Sam's Club etc) but it is next level here. High theft area, I presume. Security at front door and I've never had issue bringing my reusable bag in, but I expect to be searched on the way out. Staff is pleasant enough. I don't think in the 10 or so times I've gone to check out they've said hi to me... but I'm also used to shopping at Eastern European markets/have family from that region and they don't do that either so it doesn't bother me lol.

The top floor of this H Mart is actually pretty nice -- there's a cafeteria, a Paris Baguette, and…read moresome small shops for cosmetics and home goods. It's a good spot to grab a bite or browse around casually. However, the actual H Mart experience leaves a lot to be desired. Right at the entrance, you're required to check all your bags -- even reusable shopping bags -- which feels unnecessarily aggressive. The staff at bag check treated me more like a potential thief than a customer. I had a larger wallet (the long kind, not sure what it's called), and even that was questioned. I had to argue just to take it in with me, since clearly you can't steal anything in a wallet. Once inside, the store layout is standard. The produce section near the entrance looked fresh and well-stocked. Seafood was also plentiful and appeared very fresh. The meat section had a solid selection, especially marinated cuts ready for Korean BBQ -- definitely a plus. That said, the snack section was smaller than I expected, especially compared to the ones in Chinatown. I was surprised at the limited variety. The prepared food section (like pre-made kimchi and sides) was practically empty when I went around noon -- not sure if it was bad timing or just poor restocking. Check-out was fast, but the line system was confusing. The worst part? After paying, you have to exit the store, walk back around to the bag check, and then -- get this -- squat on the floor to repack your groceries. No tables or counters provided. It felt disorganized and a bit humiliating. Overall: decent grocery selection, but the experience is soured by unfriendly policies and poor customer service flow. I'd come again for specific items, but I won't be rushing back.

I took it with a grain of salt, because 12 year olds are not notorious for their discerning palate. He was kind enough to bring me a menu, and off we went! We ordered (5) wings to start (student loved them). They were good--have had better. I ordered the cheese steak, was piping hot when we picked it up, a respectable amount of meat and extra cheese as ordered--very good. My husband ordered the Curry Goat. It was excellent. Tender pieces of goat (on the bone, think small little riblets) with a flavorful yet not too spicy curry sauce, rice and bean mix and excellent fried cabbage. The ratio of beans to rice was a tad low, but still very good. It is an unassuming storefront among row homes, neighbors hanging out on stoops and such were friendly and welcoming. We will be back!

It was amazing! I couldn't stop thinking about it the next day, so I had to come back for lunch! This time I tried the oxtail, and curry goat. My favorite was the Jamaican jerk chicken, but the Oxtail and curry chicken were very good as well! I wasn't a big fan of the goat, but it had nothing to do with the cooking though. Just too many little bones in it. Loved the beans and rice! Probably the best I've ever had! Great find, will definitely return!
