The new look Save Mart, I have to say that I really love it. They have really enhanced the shopping experience by making more things available, like fresh foods, fresh baked items and the deli department, wow! I was able to get a fresh meat sandwich and sit in the store and enjoy fast free Wi-Fi. I will certainly be back often to the store. You have the ability to pick out fresh meats that they will throw on the grill and cook while you complete your shopping at no extra charge. Or you could call ahead for example and in one hour they will perfectly cook a try tip that you could pick up on your way home, I can at no extra charge, and my dinner is made for my busy lifestyle. They are really making a difference in the community, I encourage others to come check the store out. read more

I bought a two pack of ribs upon opening and getting ready to season. I found it was a single rack I called they said bring in to the meat department . I bring it in and spoke Jerry the manager of the meat department I explained the situation. He said it was sold by the pound and that it could just get a refunded. I said but the label says two pack I bought it for that reason. He didn't offer to make it right just a refund. I was very disappointed in Jerry I think he should have given me another rack to make it right. You can't sell something that's labeled wrong and not make it right. In my opinion..... Because I had to stop the bbq process go to the store it was just a hassle and he was not very sympathetic, no we are terribley sorry for the mistake or anything . You let me down Jerry. read more

I have to say that the customer service at the deli is mediocre, They hate working for sure. But other than that, I can buy a steak and have it cooked on the spot. The workers in the meat dept are great and very nice. Everything grilled is delicious and very convenient. I have not checked the new store yet but I'm planning on going very soon. Me and my VERY 8 month pregnant wife went in tonight to get a fruit tart. Upon asking where to find them, we were told to go ask someone else because they were busy. Then we were told they were in one of the aisles , not specific just a random aisle, and by the time we found the area they were in , the bakery was closed. We asked if someone could grab one for us and the workers snapped at us saying "if the bakery is closed then it's closed you're out of luck". This was insulting and completely out of line. Went in tonight because at 8 moths pregnant cravings are insane and all I wanted was a fruit tart. Staff was extremely rude when my husband asked if they could please get us one. We understand the bakery hours but opening the window and boxing a tart takes 5minutes. They then continued to be rude at check out after we said it was okay. read more

This store is ALWAYS out of the SALE items manly the meat department. Every time i go there for the special buy one get one free they are completely out and when i ask for when they will get more the response is i dont do the ordering. Or we have limited space in the back cooler. So i always end up at Costless mkt where there fully stocked. So frustrating a 200+store chain and they cant seem to be fully stocked while a 7/8 small grocery chain store has no problem with the inventory. So i guess they just dont care. I know the management by first name basis at Costless mkt. I will continue to be a customer there! read more

This new Save Mart is now one of my favorites! With mine and my family's busy schedule they have been a lifesaver. We buy our proteins and they grill them there for us with choice of seasoning. In my opinion one of the best services that this store offers is that they grill your meat for you- at no extra charge. I love this service, because sometimes when I don't feel like cooking- I just go in there select my steaks, meat or seafood - wait about 20-30 minutes- depending on what they're cooking- and well ahh- dinner is ready- including grilled veggies. We're so lucky in Ceres- because I'm not sure what other grocery stores have this service. read more

Cashiers are so rude. My friend and I came to grab some drinks and I happened to not have my id on me but my friend did. The guy said he can't sell it and I understand but I also had a picture of it. I asked if they have a grilled cheese sandwich, the girl at the deli happily said "I can make it for you.." thus the 1 star.. It consisted of two slices of wheat bread and two slices of cheddar cheese... And guess how much it was??? $5.99!!! So then, I go to the cash register to pay and asked Phil, if the price was going to still be $5.99 for a grilled cheese sandwich? He just shrugged his shoulders and said, well, if that's what they marked it, then that's how much I have to charge you. Did not even bother him at all. I come here often and always have a pleasant visit. But I had to come on here today to comment on the absolute shit customer service I received from Precious in the little pasta area near the entrance of the store. I asked for 2 lbs of a pasta salad and she told me I have to choose a container size. I told her idk which container to choose because idk how much 2 lbs of the pasta looks like (I say this extremely nicely and just with general confusion) She gets upset and tells me she doesn't know what 2 lbs of pasta looks like either in a irritated demeanor and continues to tell me she doesn't know which container fits 2 lbs... I say okay I guess the number 4? Whatever size fits 2 lbs... she acted like she doesn't literally have a fucking scale to weigh out the 2lbs...... she also tells me she doesn't go by lbs, she does by container size.... ???? Idk who trained this girl but she should not be working in a customer service setting. If she doesn't know which container to use and doesn't know how much 2 lbs of pasta is (even though she has a literal scale in front of her to use) she should get a different job. read more

Made the mistake of going to this store instead of Walmart and was I sorry I did. Got smirked at by the by the checker and his manager and even another customer (who knew the checkout clerk) who thought for some reason that it was a privilege to give them my business. Have never been treated so rudely and so openly right to my face, and this had nothing to do with race and everything to do with ageism. the customer service at the bakery is ridiculou. I went in there to pick my sons first birthday cake. I asked for the half sheet to say happy birthday flowed by my sons name. I had already purchased a really nice caketoper with his number one to go with his party theme. they were rude about their error. I pointed it out to them because the writing on the order sheet was all in red ink. someone went back after the fact in black ink to add what they wanted. when they fixed it the girl didn't even show it to me to show me it was corrected. I had to ask. to top it all off the kept the smash cake. I've been here many times to order, but this will be my last time. The manager was made aware and also didn't do anything to correct their error. he just went back there to speak to the employees as if I was wrong. the girl who helped me was so rude. lack of empty and customer service. horrible experience. save your time and don't order from here. read more

Went in for potato wedges and chicken tenders was told to wait for the chicken tenders for 15 minutes and 40 minutes later I'm still standing there waiting for my chicken tenders and asked another staff member about the wait for chicken tenders and was told again I have to wait another 15 minutes for my chicken tenders. Wonderful new store. Everything from handmade Burritos, fried chicken, Sea food counter, loads of fresh fruit and etc. I never hardly went to the old savemart which was located next door. This store now has all the attractions worth going to. Prices are a bit higher than regular stores, but quailty is great. Staff are very friendly and helpfull. Our card wasn't working and he just sighed with frustration, he was making passive aggressive comments to his customers and fellow employees. Regarding the NEW store that recently opened...the first time we went in to shop, was our last time. We will NOT go back. They lost their chance. Christina (the cashier) was beyond RUDE to me and she should NOT be working with the public. The sandwiches were terrible and when I complained to the store manager, he just said that he would talk to them. We are not at all the class of people that want something for free, but we paid for three sandwiches and they were missing ingredients that we paid for! The manager never even offered to re-make them for us. Oh well, never again will we return. Foodmaxx on Briggsmore has much better employees and prices! read more

I was on a business trip in the central valley last week, stopped at the sav mart in ceres to grab something to drink, i passed by the deli and the food looked good. The person at the deli, kayleen, talked me into buying a roast beef sandwich and she claimed to be the best sandwiches ever, i took her word and yes the sandwich was great and filling, the meat quality was the best and veggies were fresh. I appreciate the politness, and great customer service I received from Kayleen, great job and i will definitely stop again for a sandwich when i am in the area. read more

I like to buy my groceries at Save mart. They have good products. Today, I went to Ceres Save Mart for the first time. I went to the bakery section, and I was so disappointed. Worst customer service ever . It was so horrible that I don't feel like going to that store again. There were 4 people working there and none bother to ask if I needed help. There were another 3 customers that left because they wanted to buy a cake and nobody helped them. These workers in the bakery have the worst customer service. I don't know if they were supposed to just make cakes and not sell them. Save Mart needs to have someone in that section that can give cakes to customers. read more

Just picked up 2 deli trays- they were beautiful and delicious!! Who ever made had a lot of pride in the work. The croissant sandwiches were so fresh tasting!!! That will be my go to deli!! Love this new remodeled store! This was something Ceres definitely needed and has defiantly exceeded expectations! I love the $6 meals in the meat dept that are fresh and they make in store, not some packaged item that sits 2-3 days before making it to the shelf. The produce is big and has a lot to offer, the grill in the meat counter is awesome and usually where I get my lunch on fridays. I am glad they started carrying Joseph farm cheese again. I am a big fan of this new store and the people are great! read more

Never coming back to this store again. The lady in line was an employee who was trying to get too much cash back and was talking to the cashier and the bagger about what her money was for. Knowing there was a line behind her ( and the cashier knew it as well) they continued their conversation and dealt with the employees issue of getting cash back by making us all wait for her to get a loan and do it all over again. When I reached the cashier I was not greeted in any way. The bagger and cashier continued their conversation. There was no " thank you for waiting" " thank you for shopping" " thank you for your patience" or even a " hi how are you" " thanks for your money" no one even asked if I needed help out and it was obvious I wasn't in any condition to be carrying bags. Thank but no thanks I'll keep my time and money for someone else. Sad because I used to work at two different savemarts. We were trained much differently I guess. read more

Best thing that could have happen to Ceres! Something new finally. We needed a nice deli and bakery for awhile. We have too many events in our town to have to run to another city to get what we need.
