They've got a large store with almost everything you can think of - from fruit and veg to marshmallows, refreshments to seasonal items, candles to couscous! We appreciated how happy the staff were to serve us no matter how large or small our purchase happened to be. Prices are more than you may expect from larger chains(superstore or Walmart for instance) but not super expensive all things considered. Would happily return on our next trip.

The produce department is usually well stocked, and the prices and selection quite good. They do support local and BC products. They have a large health and vitamin selection. As a frequent shopper I enjoy their loyalty program, every once in a while I get $20 off. They usually have good weekly sale items on a variety of everyday and specialty items. Helpful, attentive, knowledgeable staff. Convenient highway access with a medium sized, free parking lot. The thing that pushes them to 5 stars for me is their community support. Not only do they provide donations, etc. they have a room that they share with community charity groups free of charge - now that is easily worth a star.

I really recommend ordering the pepper steak pie. I heard they bring it in fresh almost daily. It comes ready hot and the steak is really rich and tasty, the pepper on top is the perfect seasoning. I also ordered a spiked hot chocolate which was great. I was able to sit by the window and sip on the hot chocolate that was perfectly portioned (booze to chocolate ratio). There's a good view of the fireworks on Saturday as well. The place gets slightly crowded during the lunch hours, but if you come in an hour past lunch, it settles down. Located in a little alcove next to the Lord Aberdeen Hotel, the Lord Aberdeen Market is tiny but has a little bit of everything. Besides the usual items of milk, eggs, butter, OJ, condiments, coffee, toiletry items, snacks, chips, etc. they have a few unexpected items like soy milk, black beans (canned), nutella, various ethnic sauces, as well as fresh fruit and veggies (though selection is limited). The bread and cheese selection is also pretty good. Not surprisingly, the beer, wine and liquor section take up a healthy percentage of space here. I am somewhat embarrassed to say that we bought large blocks of butter here on at least three separate occasions, even though we started the trip with 2 lbs. for our group of 8 adults and 8 children. I suppose Julia Child would approve. Prices are on the high side, which is exactly what you would expect for the only market in a resort area. Service is friendly and personable.

Here are just a few of her qualities: She has the ability to accurately interpret prescriptions, knowledgable, kind, patient and very professional and patient orientated. If you have an allergy to a certain medication and it is prescribed by mistake, she and her team will not fill the prescription. Her team is alert, friendly and very hardworking. I also got the most amazing service from the man at the fish department, I musts have looked surprised, I suppose I was, as good and great customer service is just not a thing of the past. Then to top off the incredible experience when I got to the cashier, wow, I have been taken care of by Leslie a few times, she has the Smile one will never forget and it sends you off in the best mood ever. Thank you Superstore staff, all three department were shining today.
