This odd little shop consists of a small house and an outdoor tent area. The front room is more what I'd call gifts and collectibles: costume jewelry, cheap toys, and novelty items (like those plastic plant beads that you're supposed to use instead of potting soil). The back rooms have more thrift-store-type used stuff: a couple of small racks of coats and clothing, but mostly old VHS tapes, books, and music. They do have a fair amount of $1 books, but many are old and dated without exactly being vintage/antique. The employee was intently watching the end of a movie when we walked in and didn't bother to greet us, but later got into a heated discussion with another customer about the type of engine on a used car the customer was trying to get the owner to buy, or something. The shop is so small that you can't escape anyone's conversation, so... it was pretty awkward. I guess this is a thrift shop in the sense that there are inexpensive used items for sale, but it appear to be a privately owned place and makes no mention of any proceeds going to a charitable cause. If you really want to thrift on the peninsula, I suggest you keep on going to Port Townsend, which at least has a Goodwill.

They have a variety of items such as enamel pins, toys, clothing, charms, books, art, and more. All at pretty reasonable prices as well! The lady working there is super friendly and approachable. The perfect combination of warmth but also letting us browse without feeling any pressure. If you're in town, I definitely recommend checking it out!

The lady at the front of the shop was very helpful and informative. I found a few things that had to come home with me... LOL! We plan to have a "Girls Day Out" and come back soon! Update, we came back for an early Christmas shopping! We stopped in with a group of girlfriends on a day out. The lady there, is always friendly & knows her stock very well! As always, the items are well displayed, with the place being very neat and clean. We wandered through the beautiful shop and all found several things to take home! I found a great Cocoa sign for my kitchen and an extra-long pair of warm fingerless gloves... and some of her Christmas Peppermint Truffles! We plan to stop in each time we are in Poulsbo!

Many people who are rude and give negative reviews do not take the time to just talk with the on site owners, If they did they would change their mind!!! There are two owners of JK Treasures, the on site husband and wife (Both are amazing!) and another who lives out of state. The building had a roof job done but the contractor did shoddy work, charged an arm and a leg and refused to do repairs! That contractor has done the same to countless others who do not have the means to have another come in to fix his work! Now JK Treasures needs a whole new roof due to this contractors incompetence and the owners cannot afford it! People dump trashed items in their parking lot and the on site owners have to pay for the removal but get rude people bad mouthing them! People rummage through items and leave messes. Yes it is crowded with donated and consignment items but maybe y'all should take the time to put something back. Or better yet, offer to help! This second hand store has amazing prices and if more people took the time to shop there instead of judging how the building looks they'd find treasures! As a community we should pull together to help instead of allowing this business to fail! Contribute your time, efforts, knowledge and skills to keep this store going! And they do their best to make it feel like a "normal" shop but I find it a little disorganized and feel very overwhelmed and gave up looking at clothes. They have a small variety of furniture downstairs and upstairs they have a small section of housewares and men's clothing. It was really hot on my visit and if I wasn't as warm, I'd probably stay longer and do some real treasure Hunting. But I just wasn't into it that day. But it's a great store to search and hunt.

The sheer volume of items on the floor and shelves makes this place a bit overwhelming, and I couldn't find any organization as far as their books go so if you love a long riffling through heaps of stuff then this is your place, but if you like more of an organized and accessible experience this is definitely a place I would skip. The prices range from a couple dollars, to $7.99 for most clothing, and up depending on the item. I'd say they're asking higher end for things, similar to a current Goodwill. I don't have direct experience with the service as neither me nor my companion purchased anything, but the clerks behind the checkout counter were talking amongst themselves as several people looked at the accessories in the area.
