So hit or miss for finding anything to buy. I was here Sunday before President's Day, and found 3 Apple Valley Eagle's shirts at 50% off. I always rewash them when I get home. Now All Savers charge for bags. I'm almost positive I had a Timberwolves hat, but it wasn't rung up and disappeared. The prices are ridiculously high on many items. Around Halloween this bitchy manager makes up a price of $3.99 for a damaged foam Jason from Friday the 13th hockey mask. It was 30% off, but still. I don't donate here as its a for profit corporate conglomerate where charities get peanuts. So hit or miss. read more

This used to be my favorite thrift store. Now I hate it here. Whoever is pricing the clothing should be fired. I refuse to pay full price for used clothes. They have a target crop top here for $8. I can go to target right now and get the same exact one new for $5. I've seen many articles of clothing here priced like this. Also, there are no fitting rooms and their return policy is terrible. Furthermore, you have to check out yourself at the register. So they upped their prices fired employees and you have to be the cashier now. You are not getting paid to ring up your things. They used to pay people to do that. There should be a discount at self check out for checking yourself out. Oh, and don't forget your bags because you have to pay for theirs. Savers has become money hungry. I used to spend $200 here weekly. Now I don't wanna spend any money here. I do not recommend. read more

Don't pay full price for anything, that's my motto. You may turn your nose up to the concept of thrift stores, but think of it more as an adult treasure hunt. You seriously do not know what you will find each time you visit, stuff is so random. I once found a Keurig (newer model) for only $17.99. No joke! Savers is one of the better and more clean thrift store companies of the Twin Cities. It is also fun to relive the past by finding some junk you used to own as a kid and now it is only $1.99 to buy back! Love it. read more

My wife and I were visiting this store for the first time and right at closing we were kicked out. A lady started (somewhat aggressively and very rudely) waving us towards the front of the store and said that we need to leave. It wasn't even one minute past closing time. I explained that my wife was just going to make one final decision on what dress she wanted to get. To this, the lady at the front got even more angry and told us we needed to leave now. She didn't allow us to make a purchase. On top of that the store wasn't very well kept and the prices were more expensive than most second hand shops. I definitely wouldn't go back and would recommend others not to go here. read more

Thrift stores are very hit and miss. Sometimes I've struck gold and other times nothing. I don't expect to find something every time though. This one was the furthest and the most expensive. I don't know how they price these items or determine what's what, but this location just seemed wildly over-priced. Does each store have their own pricing guidelines? I'd be interested to know. There were items that looked beat up and were asking maybe a dollar less than what you would pay in a new retail store. Same set up as the other ones. Clean and well organized. This location for whatever reason just seemed priced a lot higher than the other Savers locations. I should've saved the gas money. Looks like the other reviewers struck gold. This is my place of choice for donating my stuff. The line is usually not long, they're very efficient, and they are always extremely kind and grateful for my donation, regardless of what I bring in. My husband is a veteran so I also appreciate that some proceeds go to DAV. Kudos to whoever is hiring or instilling this work ethic as it's evident and appreciated. read more

Was my favorite store but recently prices have skyrocketed. A wood birdhouse $24.99, a enamel coffee kettle $28.99- among other hight priced things. REALLY??? I thought this was a "thrift" store. I can get new items at TJMax for less than these prices. I'll not be shopping there anymore. read more

We had some used furnitures that we donated to Saves. It was quick and easy. And they took everything off our trailer. Super easy and quick!

This store is great! I was in town visiting my family and stopped here with my mom. After my visit to Savers, I was concerned that I would exceed the airline's luggage weight limit! First off, I took advantage of the extensive collection of used paperback books offered at 1.99 each, with the fifth cook being free if you purchase four. Next, I proceeded to the shoe department where I struck gold. I bought four pairs of gorgeous leather shoes, all made in Italy and Spain - brand new Kenneth Cole silvery black pumps, brand new skimmer loafers from Nickels, patent leather Via Spiga loafers in great shape, and gorgeous red patent leather Yves Saint Laurent peep-toe pumps that needed a heel repair but were in otherwise great condition. The shoes ranged from 4.99 to 12.99 a pair but are all beautiful, in good or great shape, and are very high quality. There were more that I could have bought, too, but I limited myself to four pairs. I also scored a slightly weathered but well-made, Italian-made burgundy leather blazer-style jacket for 7.99. It was a bit more than I wanted to pay but it seemed to be very high-quality and a good fit so I got it. Sadly, I didn't get to look through too much more of the store but my mom and grandma were there and they found a few good things, too. I also forget to check out the jewelry - next time! The staff was very nice and friendly here, too, and the store is very well-organized. They were also having a tag sale where everything with an orange tag was .99 but I think we got there a bit too late in the day to take full advantage of this deal. I can't wait to come back home for a visit so I can raid this store again! read more

I came in here a couple days ago for the first time. I will say that it is a smaller store and a bit picked over compared to the one in St Cloud. They have a huge selection of mostly clothes, books, seasonal items, and different knickknacks for AFFORDABLE PRICES. I'm a vintage dealer so if I can randomly find something I can turn a profit i'm excited. I found a vintage board game here from 1954 in perfect condition I paid a whopping $3 and sold it for $38. Not to mention a tea pot shaped like a big um amazing! However that was really the only good find I did find here. I would probably have given this place 3 stars for the store not being very organized and having every staff member look annoyed until I checked out. I wish I could remember the name of the women who checked me out ,but she just had this great loving feel to the way she speaks to the customers. She definitely made you feel like you were welcome to be there she enjoyed your company and she has known you forever. That being said I'm definitely going shopping here again. read more

Please don't consider working here, I worked for them for a day through a temp agency called Instawork. I was doing my job putting clothes away there where two people standing right where I need to put clothes at I said excuse me and only one person heard me and moved the other person must've of not heard me and didn't move I moved close by them to put the piece of clothing away I said I was sorry even though I didn't have to because I didn't even get in their way or budge but the person took it offensively and started getting upset with me stating that I didn't say "excuse me" mind you I had said it before I even walked up next to them the customer started getting more upset and raised his voice at me i was doing my best to defend myself and at that point people are looking at us, there was people that witnessed everything and they even heard me say "excuse me" and "I'm sorry" and they were trying to tell the customer that but that customer kept saying he didn't care my friend was working with me at the time too and intervened and was telling the customer not to talk to me like that and the customer started saying how he was going to beat my friends a**. At the end of the day we were trying to defend ourselves and the manager basically fired us and let us go even though we weren't at fault so please don't work here save your time and go somewhere else the manager does not care about the employees only reason she did that is because "customer service is more important", and to the customer that gave us a hard time I hope you're happy with the fact that you cost two people their jobs. read more

workers here are so shitty. they do absolutely nothing to help you when you need it. also, i watched as they racially profiled a customer who came in. a woman working watched the man as he came in and she pointed him out to a co-worker and told them to "follow him and keep an eye on him" the other worker watched him the rest of the time i was in the store. the workers at the front are literally useless when you need help, i had a coupon that didn't work and the lady that helped me (same one who racially profiled that man) and then just stared at the screen and said "follow the prompts" she didn't do shit to help me and was just useless to help at all. honestly, the younger workers here are a lot nicer and more helpful but the older ladies like that racist one i spoke of before should be fired because they suck so bad at their jobs. read more

This is my letter to Savers - Corporate Office Yesterday I visited your Savers in Apple Valley, MN and purchased a Sanyo 5000 DVD/VCR player for $12.99.  There was no way to test this unit to see if it worked. The store offers no support for this. I asked the clerk/cashier what the return policy was on this and she told me, "You have 24 hours to take it home and try it out. If it does not work, bring it back within 24 hours."  That is all she said. So I purchased the unit, took it home and the DVD player did not work.  I drove back to the store to return it.  A lady about 50ish with long brown hair helped me at the back counter. I told her that I just purchased it a few hours earlier and took it home to find that the DVD player did not work.  She then cut me off and rode the "Defensive Wagon" saying that Savers does not return items but she could issue me an in-store credit to be used right that minute on anything in the store. I squeezed in the word "No".  I wanted my money back. She then said look here on your receipt, it says our return policy.  I was not allowed to speak because she wouldn't shut-up defending your store policies.  So can I speak now?  Your clerk did not fully explain the return policy to me.  When I was given the receipt, I put it in my purse and did not look at it further.  In fact, I never looked at it until I pulled it out of my purse when returning this item.  So had I known about this policy, and if I am to be informed by reading the receipt, which would make it too late at that point, your policy DOES NOT WORK!  What happened to Customer Service?  The lady said she would give me 7 days to return the item to exchange for an in store purchase, I told her I did not want to take this unit back out to my car and lug it around hoping to find some junk at your store to satisfy the $12.99 that I spent on a DVD/VCR unit that did not work! So I told her to keep it.  I turned around and walked out.  So you win!  You not only have the unit, which I am sure you will turn around and re-sell to some other poor suspecting fool, you will gain the $12.99 for your pockets.  And don't give me the spiel about how you raise money for the DAV, because we all know that businesses like yours, pay for your "Administrative Costs" first.  I choose to donate my money directly to the Disabled American Veterans and the Wounded Warrior Project directly.  Shame on you!  I don't know who owns and runs these stores, (Savers, Value Village, Unique) but your terrible mismanagement has caused me to change my shopping habits and frequent the local Salvation Army and Goodwill stores.  At least these people are compassionate, customer service oriented and present clean stores at reasonable prices.  AND THEY TAKE RETURNS!!! read more

I have only been inside this location once to shop... This was to get Halloween costumes for my kids when they were younger. I find the inside to be very claustrophobic because of the amount of stuff to go through. But the drop off line for donations is very convenient... And you are provided a receipt to use for your taxes. read more

Worse place to work they treAt you like slaves 2 people were assigned to hanging over 5000 pounds of clothing a day and we were yelled at if there wasn't a item hung every 2 seconds. and they are dirty the back is full of dust and managers will put anything out for sale ever clothes that have fallen on the ground. read more

I went to this SAVERS for the first time, ever, yesterday. I found it to be junky & unorganized. My daughter was looking for a skirt for her graduation. There is nobody there to monitor the dressing room (i.e. 6 garment limit), therefore, it took forever to get one. The cashier was not helpful when I asked him about the Savers club card, and all I asked for was information. The parking lot is dangerous, the cars go very fast and are not pedestrian friendly. I recently went to Savers in Apple Valley. I was extremely disappointed. The store was filthy especially the bathrooms garbage all over the floor. The items are way overpriced. You can find these items cheaper brand new. I am a frequent thrift shopper and this is one store I will never visit again. read more
