I wanted to take this time to compliment one of managers at this savers site "Chris". Today we had a difference of opinion on a matter thats really not important to repeat or discuss. The take away from my encounter with Chris, was his patience in explaining his point of view. He was empathetic and kind, throughout our conversation. He's also assisted me multiple times at the check out isle, bringing a cart and helping me with my many items. I guess he saw the struggle. I am a Savers fan and I will never go back to this one. Dark, unorganized and WAY overpriced. A unevenly faded pair of leather sandals were priced at $13.99 (?!). Fitting rooms very difficult to get to - just part of the bad lay out. Not many customers in the store but the aisles still had many items scattered about the floor making it difficult to navigate. Not the worst thing about it but every dvd cover I pulled out didn't have a dvd in it. It's not that far to get to other, much better, Savers. read more

I had no idea what this store was until I got a coupon from Val Pak today in the mail. I'm always on the lookout for used children's toys so I called Savers to check that they had them. The salesman was very pleasant and affirming so I headed out. What I first noticed was how clean and brightly lit Savers is. It has the feel of a TJ Maxx and doesn't have that musty smell of a Goodwill store. They had a small toy section but it was reasonably priced, way better than Kid to Kid. What was really great was their book section. Children's books are $.69 and were all in great condition. My little guy loves to be read to and really doesn't need anymore books, but I will definitely come back when I get sick of Goodnight Moon for the 100th time. read more

This place can have lots of great hidden treasures! There's a HUGE selection of books (not all of them awful), some neat housewares, and lots of linens. Once in a while there's a great piece of furniture but most of it is pretty standard thrift store stuff. As others have mentioned, it's a pretty clean store. It can be hit or miss, though, and for as many times as I've gone in and come out with 7 things, I've also gone in and wandered around and found nothing. (Which, again, is standard for a thrift/used clothing store, but still.) One thing I will say is that whoever prices their items doesn't quite know what things are worth...I got a pair of colored Madewell jeans (which probably retailed for like $70+) for $4.99, but you'll see things from Gap or NY&Co for like $9.99. Obviously it's still a bargain, but keep an eye out for even better deals! read more

This Savers is always packed full of people. If you are looking for electronics, this is really not the place. Every time I find a CD or game - the disc is always missing / stolen. At this particular location they put the puzzles and board games right next to the childrens section so they get more damaged than at other savers. On the bright side there are loads of books that I find here regularly that I dont at other thrift stores. You never know what you are going to find but even the parking here is a problem, cars are usually squished tightly together so just know that before going. Lastly this is the cheapest Savers around, no joke. I have been to two others down the cape and their prices are double and triple on CDS and books.. So this is the place to go and hopefully you can find something that hasnt been stolen already inside the package. read more

I came in here with some high expectations due to the area location but I left with just one thing: a Kodak One-Time Use Disposable Camera for $2.11 on a Monday (no 25% discount available at this location - big downer). I browsed through the clothing aisle (sweaters, pants, and shoes) - there were a few good items but nothing exceptional; the employees aren't so helpful and the prices are bit too high for some of the items. I didn't find anything good at the shoes which is a weird surprise since Savers usually carries some great footwear. I have to mention but the organization is a bit strange; the stuff seem to randomly spread throughout the store where you find yourself walking all over the place. My major pros about this location is that they have some really nice houseware (a neat kitchen table was outside and couch inside). And cons would be the organization, random prices, and lack of (Savers) quality merchandise. read more

ON ONE HAND: BEST Thrift/second hand clothing store I have ever been in! Packed floor to ceiling with SOOOO MUCH STUFF!! All very well organized, maintained, sorted, and cared for. The place is full of clothing but it doesn't feel cluttered or messy at all! I took advantage of the end of summer sale and walked out of there with 12 T-shirts for 18 dollars. And that price included an amazing 1986 Boston Red Sox Divisional Champions T-shirt. I had the exact same shirt (in navy blue) when I was just a tiny kid! I don't spend all that much time or money on my wardrobe, so I like to find places where I can get a lot of clothing and not spend that much money. Savers is a perfect place for me. Work clothes, gym clothes, and casual clothes -- all under the same roof and all for a fraction of what you would pay at other stores. ON THE OTHER HAND: The reason I have to give it only four stars is because, well.. lets face it.. it IS a "Savers." And just by being a Savers, it means its a for-profit, no-charity corporation that is trying to make money. There used to be two nice Salvation Army stores in Framingham/Natick -- and they have been forced to close since Saver's opened. Its hard sometimes to balance ones personal budget and one's moral compass. And as someone who is well aware of "the true cost" that clothing manufacture has on our planet; I usually set my bearing towards buying only-used stuff that would otherwise end up in a landfill in this country or another. But that dichotomy is certainly one you will have to struggle with when you shop at this store - in much the same way you'd have to struggle with the question of whether or not you can justify shopping at Home Depot or Wall Mart. read more

It's kind of a standard thrift store. You can get things for fairly cheap if you look hard enough, and sometimes they have deals like "all red tags half off!" However, I completely agree with some of the previous comments about the staff. Every time I've gone, the registers have been slow. The only possible way for them to be slower is if it were 1910 and we were doing everything by paper. One time I had a bunch of stuff that I just decided not to buy at all and dumped into an empty cart. I waited for about 20 minutes but I had other things to do and the line wasn't moving. Then I noticed that the cart was full from people who had done the exact same thing. My advice is to come here with zero expectations. That way, if you find something and if you wait an eternity in line, you will be okay. read more

Used correctly, this place can be amazing. At first when someone told me I would be buying "used" merchandise, I couldn't imagine buying. But I went to just see about furniture. I happened by the "coats" on the right day and found several that were in great shape and fit me well. I got 3 coats for $40. I can also find amazing deals on blazers and some sweaters. I would not, however, recommend that you buy shoes, slacks or other items. I really don't know who does that. I have never had a problem with the employees. My tip for you is to go early because that is the best selection and least lines. read more

I come here often for clothes. Normally I hate shopping for new outfits, because I find it long and tiring, but Savers makes it so much fun! I like to go shopping were there is a huge selection of varied types if clothing. Here, I can find that. Most clothing pieces range from $3-$8, which is CRAZY! Today I got 11 clothing items and it only cost $25. That's less than 1 shirt at some other stores... Also, the donating process is a great way to help out the local charities! read more

The cashier I was with (Marc) was very short with me. I came in and he rolled his eyes at me for nothing and was not very friendly. I was hopeful when I saw the other cashiers smiling. Mine was not nice and was very much filled with attitude. I asked for a bag and apparently you have to buy one. I understand that but tell me ahead of time or offer it. Great thrift store because everything is sorted by size and color. Relatively clean place, nice staff. Prices cannot be beat. Sign up for emails and you'll learn about the twice yearly 50% off sales. They also have a card sometimes where you earn a stamp for buying or donating and then get 30% off when the card is full. A great deal. read more

As an avid thrifter I can confidently say this was a diamond in the rough! Quality clothing, accessories and homewares of all styles, brands, and sizes, from every decade; all very clean and efficiently organized; extremely friendly and helpful staff! Best of all I spent $30 and got 6 name brand items, in great condition, enough said. I will be back. So far I've been to the Savers in Danvers, Worchester, and West Roxbury, and this is by far my favorite. It is more organized and less overwhelming that the West Roxbury zoo-ish Savers. The quality of items is much higher, but at the same low prices compared to the Danvers branch. (more name brands and brandnew to newish items, and rarely dirty or in disrepair- ie, less "junkie" items). Apparently they have a 50% off sale coming up on Nov 11th (veterans day). Unfortunately, it appears as if Savers in general has discontinued their 20% off coupons for giving donations, but they still go to a good cause, the Epilepsy Foundation of New England. read more

This Savers is big and clean. It's fun to look through the rack and shelves. I have been looking a pair of cowboy boots in my size for months. I found a pair of vintage black leather Steve Madden cowboy boots that were made in Mexico for $10. The boots were in stellar condition they just needed little saddle and shoe polish. There is apparently a whole trend on thrifting now where being retro is in and vintage is cool. However I've been to Buffalo Exchange and the Garment District, and it's a bit unsettling how much they charge for 'vintage' or 'retro' pieces. Why am I starting with this? I thrift not because I want to rock nylon tracksuits as if I was actually meaningful in the 90s, but because I believe it's a more responsible way to consume. If you're looking for a place to find trendy pieces, Savers might not be for you. For those who want an enjoyable shopping experience and a wide range of used clothing, accessories, books, electronics, furniture, and homeware, then you might like Savers. The store is large, clean, well-lit, and well-organized. Perhaps it's because I'm among the younger shoppers here that I don't have as much competition among people in my age group. However, I'm not complaining because I've always found great selections in clothing and home goods. I've thrifted pieces from Loft and Banana Republic in almost new condition and always under $8 each. I've found gorgeous dishes for no more than $3 that I use to hold my jewelry. $3 metal basket for my bike? Check. $2 glass candle sticks for a DIY project? Check. They've also expanded their books section and I've scored some good reads via their 'buy 4 get 1 free.' Note: the only charity I've seen listed as their partner is the Epilepsy Foundation so I'm not sure how much their donations benefit the local community aside from this one non-profit. However, if your main goal is to save some money and be a more eco-friendly consumer, Savers Framingham is a pleasant shopping experience with a wide selection and good finds. read more

Although I have rarely found any adult designer items here... the kids section is SUPER organized and great with a HUGE selection for all ages. And the furniture OMGGGG. They had some serious great pieces all under 25 bucks. I found a vintage Ethan Allen dining console for 15 bucks. And the service and process for buying furniture is even better. You have 24 hours to pick up and they just tag it and bring it out back and put it right in your car when you come back! Slow moving line at closing time but worth it for the score! read more

Service was perfectly fine the workers are generally friendly at checkout. I worked for 3 years at the savers in North Attleboro and am ashamed at how much dirtier the Framingham location is. Everything is sticky and the clothes all smell like moth balls. Walking to and from my car I'm disgusted at how much trash is in that parking lot. It's everywhere! There are things that were clearly donated blowing through the parking lot. Broken glass everywhere, piles of rain and mud soaked clothing, broken toys. And on top of that there is SO MUCH general trash around the place! Shameful! When I worked in North Attleboro they had the CDC worker or someone with extra time on their hands go around the parking lot and clean up trash with a scoop and bucket. On my way out yesterday I saw a baby bunny crawl out from under a trash COVERED bush looking for food. Poor thing has probably ingested so much waste that Savers has not cared to clean up. I've been coming to this Savers since I moved 10 months ago and I'm fed up with this something must be done. I will be contacting Corporate and not stopping until somebody gives a crap! read more

The outside is surprisingly nice, and inside EVERYTHING is sorted and orderly! It's a really big store too! I was so surprised to go to a thrift store with everything in order of sizes! (I love the way they hang the pants lol!) I found 3 express tank tops, on NICE pair of jeans and a SUPER cute purse for $30! And honestly I couldn't tell they had been used other than they were in a used clothing store! Better than anything you can get at TJ's and for WAY cheaper too! It's nice to go into a store where you don't cringe from the style like 90% of the stuff that's put out now a days I LOVED style from the early 2000's when I was in H.S now I find fashion to be just ew! Some of the purses/shoes were a little worn but they definitely sorted the good stuff! I found some 00 sized pants too! I didn't anticipate finding anything but came here looking for furniture nonetheless. I was tickled by what I found. I was looking for wooden furniture (would never buy used upholstered furniture) ahs found a sweet small child's toy box or conceivably a blanket chest with delightful hand painted decoration for 10 dollars! I also found an old, solid, admittedly in rough shape (but does no one realize Vaseline will repair water rings on furniture?) Ethan Allen end table for another 10 dollars. Well, I have found some GREAT deals at this location. On my last visit I was purchasing some pants for my husband (who happened not to be there). I asked if they did not fit if I could exchange them. Well, the guy at the counter said "Just keep your receipt and make sure they have their original tags on it". What could be better than this, I am getting an awesome deal and if for some reason they don't work then I can bring them back. For the next part I am taking FULL responsibility. The pants did not fit and I needed to bring them back. Of course it takes me a few weeks (about a month). I pull into the lot and pull my receipt out. It states "7 day exchange policy. NO refunds". Seriously?? That would have been super helpful if they guy behind the counter had mentioned that part of the policy. So I figured since I was in the lot I would at least try to talk with them. This is the point were everything went down hill. I went in and the woman behind the counter mentioned they had new systems and that there was no way I could exchange them. But she said she would at least ask the manager. Awesome, thank you, I appreciate you for doing this. That was last part of this story that was awesome. Another woman came over I mentioned the story about how when I asked the cashier never mentioned the 7 day part. Then the manager Bob comes over. At which point it went more downhill. I explained my story to him and the second woman that I spoke up with said "All the employees know the policy and would have mentioned the 7 day part. So you are wrong telling us they never mentioned it." Okay, so that is as close as you get to calling me a liar in retail without using the term liar. I should also mention I was really cool during this process and was not yelling or upset. I said I only want to exchange for something else. I was told no way. After reading this you might say "Typical policy and why is girl complaining". I'm more upset about the way I was treated as a consumer than them actually not taking the pants back. Well after going on their website and reading up on their company values I can saw that I will never shop here again. And here is a direct quote: "Our Mission To provide our customers with the best selection and shopping experience of any thrift store in the world. Our Core Values Embrace honesty, integrity and ethics in all aspects of our business Provide benefits for our community through our charity alliances and recycling efforts Recognize that Team Members are the source of our success" Well, basically tell the customer they are lying does not fall in any of this. At this point I would rather shop at Kohls pay slightly more (after their discounts and coupons) for new items and have a way better exchange policy.
