Love this store! I find the cutest name brand hoodies, leggings, jeans etc. And their stuff isn't crap, like goodwill or salvation army. Yes, some of their prices are high for a thrift store, but I find better, cheaper used clothes there, then somewhere like Gabes. There was a huge selection of EVERYTHING. The employees stocking the shelves didn't seem very happy or friendly, and although their inventory is massive, their prices were roughly double compared to other thrift stores. For example, we got a pair of Abercrombie & Fitch jeans at Goodwill for $5.35, but similar jeans at Savers were more than double, which is still a good price, just not as good as other places. Net time we're thrifting, we will still go here, but only if we didn't find something at one of the other places. read more

If you actually thrift, This is not the place to shop they charge 13.99$ for collard shirts all bc it's got one tiny brand marking , it's clearly priced high so the half off day will still bring high dollar. Few stories circulating amongst many people familiar with thrifting - of a back door buyer & his father the said to be the " Sprenger" family said to have a deal struck w employees ... I've shopped this location daily and it's cooked don't waste your time they're not letting the good stuff come out , along w workers shopping in the back on their days off. Dreadlocks and the blonde are clearly thrifters... it's obvious that an employee has got it wrapped up tight, no vintage if it's not garbage, then you won't peep a single vintage thread coming out the back. This Thrift store has the best collection I have seen! They didn't have stained or dirty stuff .. everything was pretty rad and I'm a 38 yr old that still dresses like I'm in my 20's CAUSE I CAN... That's why. Lol. I found some of the coolest things here. Prices are moderate.. so. I couldn't remember where this was or what it was called untill I just pulled myaps history! When it was Unique it used to be awesome now this place is outrageously priced when it comes to second hand clothing that was donated and they got for free selling pairs of shoes for upwards of $20 to $30 at times. Most dresses are at least $12 to $15. The prices definitely are far from bargains. read more

If I was rating only for my experience tonight, I would rate one star. If today hadn't happened, I'd rate four or five. I often find good things here. I stopped today and found a few things I wanted. I always like how Savers has self check out. As someone who is neurodivergent, it's hard for me to engage with a cashier at times. This was one of those days. I approached the self checkouts with my items, which I was happy to have found. Then I saw every checkout said "card only." I waited and asked an employee what I should do. She said she would check me out "as soon as I can." I went to the register she pointed at, but decided I didn't need my finds that badly. Other times, self checkouts here take cash. I'm very disappointed that Savers would remove an option that works better for some with disabilities or with neurodiversity. Just another place I feel less welcome, like society will only serve me if I act normal. Weird that cash is no good there. read more

This particular Unique is probably one of the best. It might be because Lake Countians are afraid of thrifting -- so that leaves more of a selection for me. I love how the clothing is divided by color. It's pretty helpful when you just want black, black, or black. I just wish I could find more vintage items here. Mondays are half off on certain items. It's always very crowded on those days but if you're patient, it might be worth dealing with the crowd. read more

I walked in just to see what they had in the store and to check out their prices. The price seems a little high for what you were buying but still pretty reasonable for most of the things I looked at. I looked through all the T-shirts because a lot of times I'll find one or two that I really liked but I didn't find anything. I looked through the dishes for a decent coffee mug but could not find that either. All in all the place was okay but really didn't have a whole lot. Most of it seemed like filler stuff that had been in the store for forever! Everything's been picked through pretty well already and what's left is just junk for the most part. Maybe once spring is here and they have more donations coming in it'll get better but it was looking pretty tired. read more

One of the best thrift stores in Cleveland! Low prices, weekly specials, a huge variety, never too crowded. Merchandise is nicely spaced on racks and divided by style and color, so it's never hard to find what you want. Prices are reasonable, there is usually at least one day a week that is half off. They do have some upscale items which are more expensive. Store is clean and bright, clothing is in good shape, and stock seems to rotate frequently. I have to be careful not to end up with a huge cartful whenever I go. Also a good place to find costumes, games & purses. The only downsides are the lack of vintage clothes and they make it hard to donate items by not having a drop off around back (you have to bring stuff into the store itself). Overall, I think this is the best Unique thrift in C-town. read more

The only complaint I have about this place is that they put trash in with the household goods. Why would someone pay $0.99 for a Cottonelle wipes box? $0.99 for a used (foam) coffee cup from Circle K? Also the lack of dressing rooms is an issue. I love this particular Unique! It's very large, clean, well lit and the prices are very fair. I was impressed by the sheer size of the housewares department. I found a bunch of 80's collectible Care Bear Pizza Hut glasses for $1 each, a couple of super cute plus size dresses and my dude found a couple of tees. The furniture section was pretty nice as well. They had a few really neat mid-century modern end tables and lamp tables for under $15 that I almost snagged, but they wouldn't have fit in my tiny VW bug. Only downside is that there isn't a huge selection of vintage clothing, but I'd rather have a great selection of vintage housewares anyway. read more

Had to go over to Speedway and pour out a Coors Light in memoriam of the dearly departed old friend, Unique Thrift. The last good VHS spot in Lake County eliminated their VHS and audio cassettes sections, but kept/seemingly expanded their far more usless Eight Tracks. Presumably these 8Trk Junkies cleaned out all the players in the house, because while I saw a few VCRs and tape decks, not a single item to actually use the garbage blocks that somehow made the cut. With this sad decision, the always relatively high prices (all Goodwill CDs/DVDs/books down the street are $1), and the hard-to-remove stickers there's no reason for me to visit this for-profit business anymore. I wept as the taste of the Rockies splattered on the cement. So long, old friend. So long. read more

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Bought a pair of cold weather boots for my wife and was told I can return for credit if they don't fit, great no problem.......until I came in to return them. Manager on duty (at register) then informed me they were unable to credit my account and that I needed to exchange them. I informed her what the register person at time of sale told me and she looked at me like I was stupid and chuckled we don't do that. Ok then, I was irritated because I had already looked and they had nothing that would fit my wife, no problem I shop here at least twice a week so eventually I might find something even though the 2 week window for returns was close. I looked for a few other items I needed and brought them to the same manager for check out and asked her at that time "what happens if I can't find a pair of boots that fit her before the 2 week window closes?" Again she looked at me with stupor and said "oh we don't really pay attention to that". Hey great no problem then I am happy. I handed her the items I wanted to purchase at that time and THEN she grabbed the boots and receipt and started a refund/exchange process. I was totally confused at this point and asked "wait, I can return these and exchange for OTHER items?" and AGAIN she looked at me with stupor and said "UH, YEAH" like I was an idiot. I responded that she could have told me that before I shopped and she snapped back laughingly "well you didn't ask." Ok I am angry now and noticed she had typed in a return for a $20 pair of boots for $10 worth of items I was now purchasing. Then she said you gotta buy something else because the $10 difference is to much to refund. Oh my God I want to scream by now. I was DONE WITH HER at this point. Told her I didn't care I'm not coming back now any way. She looked at me in stupor and smiling saying she can only give me back $2 cash as change, and no credit. No problem, I didn't ask for money back. She just stood there looking at me in a stupor. I had had it, the stench of cigarette smoke that fills the air of that place from all of the uncleaned clothing and items was nauseating me at this point so I grabbed my items and told her to keep the $2 and walked away. The customer service is horrible, I mean, if you don't like helping people don't work a register. So unhelpful, so rude. Do yourself a favor and skip the Lakeshore location unless you wand something that is dirty and broken because that is what you are going to get. Plus you always leave with the bonus of stinking like stale cigarette smoke for the rest of your day. ZERO STARS IF I COULD. We won't be returning again. There are several cleaner and MUCH nicer and cleaner charity second hand stores within a mile of this hole. read more

This is my favorite thrift spot. I only go one Monday because everything is 50% off. They also have good sized dressing rooms. Every blazer and coat I own is from here so I suggested you take time to go through those racks. Also I always find great casual dress for $5 or less. read more

SAVERS - The owners of this store used to have the best thrift in N.E. Ohio as a "Unique Thrift Store" but when changed it to Savers early 2015 the savings went out the door. Many of the items are priced at or near retail new price. Smart shoppers will use their smart phones to check the price online before buying. Once upon a time Monday at 7 AM there was a long line of shoppers including myself trying to get the 50% off deals first. Now no pushing and hardly any customers lining up to buy overpriced stuff at the regular thrift price. If the owners of this store are smart they would contact former dedicated customers and ask their opinions rather than try and sell used stuff as new. Finally the Salvation Army Thrift Store has lower prices than this store making them a better deal especially on Wednesday. We used to laugh at folks who went to the Salvation Army Thrift stores but at this point the laugh is on the dedicated shoppers of this formerly good store. read more

Scammers. New ownership has ruined this place. They get their good via donation, pick through the good stuff to sell online then the rest goes on the shelf at nearly retail and sometimes over retail. I had to dress up for a Mega 80's concert late 2010 and stopped into probably 4-5 Goodwill's / Thrift stores before the UTS. Let's just say that Unique was the last place I needed to go. I ended up finding a late 80's pair of Girbaud jeans and a mesh OP shirt that fit the bill perfectly. The wife even found a jean skirt / jacket combo that worked out wonderfully for her. I was amazed by the amount of clothes and even the quality. I just hope I get that lucky the next time I stop in. read more

I have been coming to this thrift store since I was born! It is the best thrift store I have ever been to! Its fantastic! The people that run it are so kind. They all know me by name! Every Monday is 50% off day. They have a very large selection of clothes, and VERY reasonable prices! Last time I was there I picked up a few pairs of pants, a jacket, and an Ohio State tee. This Unique is okay. Their selection is really hit or miss. Also, they don't sort their stuff by size like the other Unique stores so you can't just run in if you are looking for say a black sweater in size Medium. It's a good store to go into if you have time to kill and want to look around. Otherwise, I normally stick to the one out in North Randall. read more

As much as I think this place maybe outdated, if you want cheap this is the place to go. Jeans and shirts are in plenty of supply. If your lucky you may find that rare item that you have been looking for cheap. I was able to find a 90$ router there for 8$ so it has something for everyone. Great renovation! now has fitting rooms. No clutter atop the rows of racks. Everything really organized. The place is well lit, airy and bigger than I ever thought it could be! Still has great bargain prices. A wonderful place to make friends with like-minded individuals. I found a brand new Liz claiborne white Tee shirt with the original retail store tag still attached. It was half price day and I bought it for 3.50, The kady who bought it from Nordstrom's is still paying for it on her credit card:) read more

Since Unique Thrift became Savers the prices have become a nightmare. The name Savers is joke! Prices continue to rise with no end in site. A pair of jeans have plummeted to $8.49 to $14.99. People come to save money because they can't afford new. We might as well go back to regular retail stores & shop clearance for cheaper prices. Savers regularly sells gloves for $1.99 that you can get at Dollar store for $1.00. Tags on new merchandise is sold at Savers for same price. Customers use to be able to earn a 20% discount on total purchase & recently I learned that 20% will be taken off of $30.00 only, no matter how much is spent. Savers made money before the huge price increase. There was no need to price the community out of the ability to save money. Savers corporate leaders is not about helping anyone but themselves! If donators want to help....donate to the non-profits. Making money on the backs of the less fortunate is not good business. I've spoken to other people, including staff that agree that the prices are too high. read more

Great place!! This is the only place I buy my clothes at a bargain price for pretty much free if you think about it!! Never dissapointed with the merchandise, prices and bargains. Always seem to leave with at least one or two things. However if their is any complaint or dissatisfaction I have of any kind it would have to be the people who work there. Ignorance, stupidity, and rudeness can not get any worse. If they know you personally, your screwed becuase they will make your expierence thrifty ineed by ripping your dignity and peace of mind when it comes to shopping. Now if you don't know any personally I recommended you either ask another customer or sovle it yourself when it comes to general questions about merchandise becuase depending on who you ask they won't bxe responsive, helpful and considerate.
