Run by the family--father in the kitchen, mom and daughter are front of house. This restaurant was recommended by our B&B and it was the perfect entry and first late night meal in the village. We shared the fresh local white asparagus with a savory asparagus whipped cream, and duck breast served medium and steak avec frites. With a bottle of 2019 Lamé Delisle Boucard cab frac. It was a simple, but lovely meal. Friendly. Efficient. And if it wasn't 95 degrees outside we would have dined outside in their rose garden. Would go back again!

The husband/wife team worked tirelessly to make our dinner pleasant, and although their English isn't as strong as one might get in a tourist hub - it was more than sufficient! We each had the prix fix menu for under 20 euros, including an appetizer, main, and dessert. With wine and coffee, we spent just less than 60 euros for two - highly competitive in Chinon, where similar prix-fix menus go for between 30 and 40 euros per person.
