The portion size was enormous--more than enough food, and as you can see from the pictures, the plate was packed with perfectly cooked pasta, tender chicken, and fresh vegetables. Everything was absolutely delicious. The vegetables were cooked al dente, the pasta was cooked perfectly, and the chicken was soft, flavorful, and prepared just right. You could tell the food was made fresh because it took a little time to come out, but it arrived hot and was well worth the wait. The service was exceptional. The ladies who took care of me were friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They made the entire experience even better. For the price, I felt like I received five-star service and outstanding value. It's rare to find a restaurant that delivers both quality and generous portions at a reasonable price. Franklin may not be the first place people think of when choosing a restaurant, but Apulia Risto Pizza is truly a hidden gem. I enjoyed it so much that I would gladly make the drive again, even if it's an hour from my home. Highly recommended, and I will definitely be back!

We had trouble deciding on which pizzas to order (they all looked delicious) but finally decided on the Red Red Vine (fire roasted grape tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, basil, olive oil, & balsamic drizzle) and the Porta Bella (portabella, mushroom, spinach, roasted pepper, fresh mozzarella, & balsamic drizzle). Both were fantastic and perfectly cooked - the mushrooms were fresh (not canned, thank goodness). Also - I'm kind of a sucker for a good crust and this HAD IT ((chefs kiss)). Can't wait to come back!! As a side note -- there are two separate entrances... the front entrance is to the dining room and the back entrance is to the bar. I don't think you can access them both without going outside (but you'd have to confirm with the staff).

In the past, our takeout orders came in larger round containers with plenty left over to enjoy the next day. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case this time. The portions have noticeably shrunk. As you can see in the photo, the container holding the leftover chicken wings is tiny--only two wings fit inside--and the drunken noodles were packed in an equally small container. The portion was significantly less than what we've always received. It's disappointing to see a restaurant we have enjoyed for years reduce portion sizes while charging the same prices. If costs have increased, we'd rather see a slight price increase than feel like portions are being cut to save money. We hope this was a one-time issue because we've always enjoyed your food, but this experience was very disappointing.
