My go to spot for pizza and Italian entrees. Great food and service. Just wish they delivered!

Food is not bad when it's brought to you on time and it's not burnt on the bottom. Been there several times three times the pizza was burnt on the bottom as well as the sausage roll today we complained about the pizza and they had to go to Bill And woman for a slice that was burnt. Yes they offered to get her another slice. However, it took 10 minutes just to get a slice of pizza warmed up the way. It was very disrespectful and called one of the patron a parrot for speaking up for her. I don't think that's desirable in a restaurant arena as far as the food goes would I eat there again, yes but be prepared for a disrespectful waiter and a snarky remark. If you ask questions, where are the customers he thinks we're doing him a favor. You would think the owner would be on top of this type of behavior being at there's a pizza place right up the road and a few down the road. read more

Friendly staff. Restaurant very spacious once you go thru the front door. We ordered a grilled chicken wrap and a dinner size chicken francese with angel hair pasta, garlic bread and a salad. One of the better Franks around in this area. Not sure if they're a franchise outfit, everything including the marquee signs look the same. The other locations I know of are Rockaway near the Walmart, the one here in Sparta and one in West Milford along with the one in Jefferson Township. Place was spotless, there were three guys running the place, two up front by the pizza ovens and one in the back kitchen. My buddy and I ordered two sausage peppers and onion hoagies, grabbed a couple of sodas from the machine and sat down at one of their tables and in no time the guy running the ovens came over with our sandwiches. I hadn't had a SPO sandwich in a while and this one hit the spot. read more

Our family ordered 2 pizzas. They were cooked perfectly and the toppings were fresh and delicious. I had the cavatelli and broccoli. The pasta was Al dente and the broccoli was not soggy. Our service was excellent. I'm sorry I didn't get the young lady's name. read more

Workers are extremely rude and pizza is not very good and they charge for condiments.

I've been to Franks many times before and let me say she's never been a grade A restaurant, needless to say she hasn't impressed me in the past 10 years I've been going here. The wings were less than amazing and I was pretty upset about that a perfect wing consists of a good amount of meat and I didn't see that with these wings. To be honest it was mostly bone which was honestly a choking hazard. The pizza was crisp (almost burnt) and there wasn't anything special about it. I didn't feel as star struck as I was hoping to be. The atmosphere is low key fire tho and I'm really digging it, but I might be biased cause Ive gone here a lot. On a more unbiased note the back of the restaurant looks nicer than the front which is kinda let down. The service it's okay but nothing that blew my sock off. I've been an on-and-off customer for about six years. Generally, they are a good choice; however, tonight killed it for me. I ordered a Chicken Sorrentino for take-out and noticed the boss was not in when I went to pick it up. The meal was garbage. They took a piece of chicken and pasta and dumped stewed tomatoes on it. Absolutely no effort in putting this together. I feel for the boss who has to trust employees to take over when he's away--but, I will never return there again. I feel the whole meal was disrespectful. There are better choices near-by. read more

When I was filming a short film with my gf,I stopped at a pizza restaurant that did not look good on the outside...I got 3 slices of pizza...One regular,one mushroom, and one Sicilian...The Sicilian slice of pizza tasted very nice with a lot of flavor and very nice crust...The mushroom pizza tasted nice and the mushrooms tasted good...The service was ok...These guys were nice but a bit lack luster but the food tasted good...Stop by for a quick bite. read more

I love everything about this place. I was just back east for an extended period of time and we ordered from this location relatively often. I always get their roasted red pepper/tomato/mozz salad and it is SO fresh and delicious like all of the salads I've had there. I love their tuna sub as well. In all of the orders we placed they never once forgot something (even extras like sides of marinara). They were always super fast at preparing our order as well. And their garlic knots? ...so good. The place is in a small shopping center, and it really is amazing. Doesnt look like much from the outside, but the food is very good. Very old style italian brick look inside. If you like pasta, get the penne in olive oil and garlic with grilled chicken and grilled sausage. Its amazing. Very friendly staff, and not that expencive either. We went another time, and I tried the wings. They are pretty average. They say how their wings are the best, but they are ok. You would think that they would have a good amount of meat on every wing, but one has alot, and the next one is just bone. Thats the one reason that its 4 stars. Tried this place 2x and they failed miserably. First time I ate there I ordered a chicken Caesar salad. The chicken was most definitely not fresh, hard and dry, clearly had been sitting out for more than a day. The dressing was bland and watered down. Just awful. I tried take out and when I went to pick up my order it wasn't ready and apparently the dish I ordered they don't make anymore but the girl who answered the phones neglected to tell me that. I was not a happy camper. They offered to make it on the spot but I was also picking up food for my boyfriend so his meal would have been ice cold. To top it off they overcharged me on the bill. My boyfriend ordered a side of sausage. It comes presliced. He offered me a piece and I can assure you what I tasted was NOT sausage but some sort of funky kielbasa covered in red sauce and that too was dry just as my chicken was. 2 tries, 2 fails. read more

I thought North Jersey pizza was supposed to be good? Mozzarella sticks were okay, nothing special - by the time we got them back to my friend's house a mile away, they were already hard. I ordered to go so don't know about service. I think I paid $12.87 for a pie which is normal. If it was between franks and casa Mia, I'd choose casa Mia. I live in Sparta and normally when I'm in the mood for Italian food (sandwiches, pizza, etc) I order from Casa Mia. Yesterday I had to pick up a script from CVS so I decided to order some food from Frank's since it was right next to CVS. I ordered an eggplant parm. sandwich and chicken parm. sandwich. Each one cost $8 . These had to be the worse sandwiches I ever had . Forget about the fact that they were light on the eggplant and chicken......they tasted awful. Franks Pizza is by far the best Italian place in Sparta to have a great dinner. If you do come here ask for Trina, Bailey, or Scott.

Their soups are great and the salads are the best around. Prices are reasonable and both Joe's are great!

We love Frank's. Wish they delivered. The garlic knots are the best from here. Love ordering personal pies. Very quick too whenever we call in to pick-up. The only downside is I once ordered a Caesar salad to-go and they put the hot chicken on top of the salad so by the time it got home to me, the salad was very warm and didn't taste the greatest, but again, this is something so minor. Arrived at 5 PM with my son and triplets who were celebrating their birthday with us. There were two tables of people and they were eating and we were the only other patrons. Walked in, asked if we could order at the counter and then sit. Told that was okay. The kids are all 11 and very well behaved. I asked one of the workers who was taking the order if I could please have a large cheese pie, two slices with pepperoni and two slices with penne. HE MADE A FACE, ROLLED HIS EYES AND SHOOK HIS HEAD AND ROLLED HIS SHOULDERS. "No, no, no... mumble mumble" If we did not have the children with us I would have left. Not even a suggestion of purchasing the penne separately, nothing. He acted as though I was asking him to make a gourmet, seven course meal with just adding a few noodles on two slices of pie. My husband took over the ordering because he KNOWS how disgusted I get when someone treats me like that and the children were hungry and I even told the guy we were treating them to the movie for their birthday. The movie started in an hour and a half so we had plenty of time and wanted to just sit and eat and visit. They didn't get busy while we were there waiting for our 1/2 pepperoni pie. A bunch of them standing around. My money and my patronage is apparently not good enough for Frank's Pizza in Sparta at the Theatre Center. When we got home, we even called our local pizzeria to ask if that request was way out of line....absolutely not. Unless is was Good Friday and the place was packed, no way was that too much to ask. You just pay a little extra. The parents know, other parents know, I have kids in their twenties... no one will patronize Franks again for treating us that way. Taught the kids a big lesson. Sorry to inconvenience you at Frank's for wanting to make a few kids happy with a few slices their way. Oh, my husband ordered ONE slice of pineapple/ham for me. The worst Italian food I have ever eaten. Staff is super nice and the resturant is clean, but the problem with Frank's lies in the food. It is complete garbage. I understand it's a chain pizza place, but come on. Their mantra must be -"Let's use the cheapest possible ingredients we can find and sell our food at the most possible high price". I mean the food is a disgrace. They don't care about the food or the customer. Going to franks is the same as getting mugged in an alley. I frequent Frank's Pizza often for their Chef Salad and buffalo wings...they are THE BEST that I have had in this area in a long time. I also at times will indulge in a slice of pizza and there pizza is good as well. However I am a huge fan of their salad and buffalo wings! I live in West Paterson, NJ, where pizza places are a dime a dozen....and really good! I have had pizza on numerous occasions from Frank's when I visit my sister. While delicious...the problem is way too much salt. Did I mention the pizza has way too much salt? I am not sure what they do with the salt in their sauce...but it way too heavy. Add way way way less salt and I promise you will get better reviews! read more
