I enjoyed my experience at Savory, it reminded me of Penzy's. The have a wide variety of spices and I was pleased to be able to buy my hard-to-find spices (i.e. Galangal, Thai bird chilies) and I like how they're organized by need (baking, sweet, bbq, etc). It's easy to shop and browse. I also received excellent customer service. The assistant manager welcomed me into the store and upon discovering that it was my first time, she gave me a quick overview of the shop. The staff are very knowledgeable about cooking and spices. This is a great place for foodies and novices alike.

Very helpful, knowledgeable, patient travel agent. She followed up and kept me on track with coordinating plans among our small group.

Now they've opened a storefront and you can get bagels hot and fresh out of the oven multiple days a week! **They plan to extend their operating hours when the market season ends, for now they're open W-F 7:30-1:00 but be forewarned that they may sell out early so I'd check social media before making a late trip over. I like that their sourdough isn't too sharp and tangy like what you'd get from the pier in San Fransisco. These bagels have the classic dark crust with soft, chewy interior. They generally have 7 different bagel flavors available daily with a few on the menu rotating each week. The Salted Rosemary is hands down the best, my favorite! When I'm feeling a little sweet tooth, the French toast Crunch hits the spot, especially paired with the prepared-in-house Vanilla Bean Cream Cheese. Oooooo, delish! They also offer brewed coffee, housemade cold brew, and a variety of different ready-to-purchase beverages. There is bar counter seating as well as a cute window bench seat and additional patio tables out front. I appreciate that they considered the parking situation! You can snag a spot on the neighborhood street or there's plenty of parking at the church across the street. There is handicapped parking behind the shop.

There was already a line waiting outside but once the doors opened they moved through us quickly. I appreciated that a staff member was explaining the process to the entire line while we were waiting. When you come in you walk past the register to the end of the counter and order your bagels down there. Then you will move to the register, and you can grab your own cream cheese out of the fridge by the register. I just got a salted rosemary bagel with chive cream cheese. The bagel was to die for! Hot and fresh and perfectly crunchy on the outside but chewy on the inside. The chive cream cheese paired well with my bagel choice. Didn't get a picture of the bagel because I couldn't wait to eat it. Can't wait to come back!

From the moment I stepped inside, the staff was warm, welcoming, and super knowledgeable. They explained the layout of the store and all the awesome services they offer. It happened to be the weekend, so bonus: samples galore! I tasted granola, cheesecake, a mocktail, a cucumber sandwich (fancy!), and a delightful tea. Spoiler alert: everything was amazing. Speaking of tea, they'll brew up any tea on the shelf for you to sip in-store or take to go! The place is packed with goodies: shelves of teas, spices, flavored sugars, and even some adorable gift items like candles. But my personal win? I've been searching all over for Hungarian paprika. Not only did they have it, they had both sweet and hot varieties. I had no idea paprika came in so many varieties! If you're a tea lover, spice enthusiast, or just like discovering fun local gems, this place is a must-visit. Friendly folks, unique finds, and tasty samples? I'll definitely be back!

I'd been…read morehunting for a particular spice, which they unfortunately didn't have, but as a big herbal tea drinker, I was really impressed by their selection. So many tea shops have tons of black and green teas but only a handful of caffeine-free options. Here, there were probably 40 or so herbal teas to choose from, which was such a treat. I was the only customer in the shop at the time, and the two employees gave me what felt like the royal treatment. They were both incredibly friendly and helpful, asking what I liked, making suggestions, and pulling different teas down for me to smell. They were attentive without being overbearing, and it was genuinely some of the nicest customer service I've had in a while. The shop itself is cute, clean, and well organized. My only hesitation is the pricing. I was pretty shocked when one larger packet and one smaller packet of tea came to about $60. I would have happily bought more if the prices were a little lower, and unfortunately it will probably keep me from visiting as often as I otherwise would. Still, I really enjoyed the experience and am excited to try the teas I brought home!
