Probably one of the best computer shops in the area…read more I had major, major issues with another computer repair shop in Motherwell who were seriously messing me around, so I brought my beloved laptop here, and they fixed it for me in two days (compared to the other shops 2 WEEK effort) It wasn't even that expensive, but they really did save my life, and all of my Uni coursework too. They also sell other things computery, like cables and mouse mats and more technical stuff that I couldn't really explain to you, and do mobile phone repairs. It's a bit of an all round technological repair centre really. All of the stars go to how efficient and quick the guys here were, and they never bamboozled me with any jargon either. Brilliant.

Immediately I had a response from David McMillan to say that they didn't carry that item but they could special order it for me. This they did and within 10 days the item was available in the shop for pick-up. Outstanding service!

I had a problem with my projector (flickering image) and it was later discovered that all that was needed was a new cable. I called Glasgow Audio to repair the projector and was told the callout would be £65 and this would be credited if I had to buy something. I went ahead (big mistake!). They then told me I needed a new bulb at £249 plus £65 callout on top despite what I had been told earlier. I searched online and found a bulb for £130. I asked for the product code of the bulb which they wouldn't give me but instead offered to waive £65 callout which they had initially offered anyway. After taking £110 from my card they then told me my projector could not be fixed and suggested I buy a new projector at their starting price for £799!! I went to the shop and took my projector back as I was suspicious. Checked with a different cable and it worked perfectly. They are not refunding me. If they were competent engineers they would have found the problem as I managed to solve it myself - it was simply a loose connection. Either incompetence or dishonesty!! AVOID THIS COMPANY!!! I asked for a refund but they refused and offered me a £45 credit note so that they can try and rip me off on something else which I declined!!

Before making…read morefuneral arrangements, I went here on the recommendation of a friend and the chap succeeded in resolving the problem. I didn't have a clue what he was talking about, but I nodded politely in all the right places and had a good chat with him about all sorts of things. I felt like I was in the movie Clerks for a while. It seemed busy enough with folk in and out, and lots of phoning going on but I think they make their money selling computers in bulk (I'm sure there's a more technical name for this like networking or something) to small businesses. The dude did like to talk about and told me all about them rebranding themself as a 'green company' with PC's that use infinitely less energy or something to that effect. I will keep me eyes peeled and consider a purchase if this comes to pass. A no fix no fee policy in here which is good.

When I phoned ML2 they said it sounded like a type of "ransom virus" and had dealt with one just recently. They called at my home within 24 hours and had the machine up and running in about 4 hours. The fee they charged was very reasonable considering it was a Saturday and I needed the machine urgently. Good knowledge, professional attitude, very skilled with excellent response. I wouldn't go by bye them know.
