Just wow. I'm sorry I hadn't visited sooner. The store is beautifully curated and well thought out. You can tell a lot of attention is paid to the overall aesthetic of the sales floor. Shelves and racks aren't stuffed with merchandise, which I really appreciate. Prices are more than fair. They even have a silent auction area that features 'better' and/or unique items personally hand selected by staff, nice fair trade area and they sell houseplants!!! How cool is that?! CC is staffed by volunteers and employees. I great mix of individuals who care deeply about the good they're doing for their community and world. Large parking lot, face masks required (they care about the health and safety of their customers), closed on Sundays. Highly recommend.

Wow! Wow! Wow!…read more Finally a cool clothing & accessories boutique that caters ladies like me. Still feeling youthful at 59, but neither a teen or matronly body. I spent at least an hour shopping, trying on clothing getting heartfelt compliments from the other ladies in the shop. I also got help with finding the perfect jeans! After narrowing down my selection, I asked my husband (and Golden Retriever) for feedback. Yes, my 100lb Golden was allowed in and he made himself right at home. Needless to say, I walked out with a large shipping bag, but the amount was less than I expected. My husband's comment was it seems we will be making more trips from KC to keep my wardrobe timely/current. Ladies - gotta love his comment purchases $$.

There are an adorable, young married couple. I wanted to buy everything but I'm trying to downsize so I was there to sell. They took the time to look through all my things even though they weren't buying much at the moment, but they were able to find some pieces and offered me a fair price. Fun fact: The owners know the team behind FindFurnish in Minneapolis, a similar store that has made trips down to Iowa City to buy some of their pieces before selling them at much higher, big-city prices. BUT it happened just late enough in the winter that Active Endeavors was gearing up for one of their annual sales, and guess what? I got a replacement jacket for nearly 50 percent off. Huzzah! It was a win for me because I got a new coat, and I had the opportunity to support a local business, which I love doing. Active Endeavors also has a killer shoe selection - I'm not sure if people know this, but it's worth checking out!

I kept thinking about it, and that price was right, so I went back. The sales person working was nice enough to cut the tag off the hat for me and I wore it out of the store. Definitely stop here if you're looking for something fun and more mature. I'd say this shop is for the 30+ woman.

If you are interested in music it is necessary to ask the owner for the organization method in order to find what you are looking for. Do bring cash. Cards are not accepted. Prices are fair. You can get better at a yard sale, but have to spend a long time looking. You are spend much more at a dedicated record store and get better organizing and renewed sleeves. I would got back.

I think the front bagged stuff was a good selection but I can't pay those prices when discogs and eBay exist. I have an ultrasonic and returns are guaranteed online. I'll gamble online before paying $30 for a record I've seen elsewhere for $5-10. Plus most good albums have been reissued at about $20. Some people may want an OG copy, I don't get paying more than the reissue price for a used OG record that looks eh.... Now the stuff in back had some good stuff too, but it should have been $5 a record and I'd have bought a bunch, they're just not worth $10 for common stuff. I don't need to fill out my collection that much, and nothing was rare or uncommon really. I managed to find a couple things I was ok with buying, was eventually helped at the counter, and was then told they only take cash. Who carries cash? I'm not 60..... cards are everything these days. So I wasted a half hour to an hour browsing through overpriced records just to be turned away. I could have found an ATM, but I'm out of town. So we tack an ATM fee on to the overpriced records too? Nah, didn't feel like it, so drove back to my hotel in Cedar Rapids... If you need decent copies of mostly basic albums (classics) with the occasional gem or underpriced record, come here with a lot of time, and cash only. Moral of this story? A question - You talked my ear off when I arrived but mentioned nothing of cash only? Waste of both our time.
