Terrible business practices. Owner illegally changed date on a check that she forgot to deposit and then realized it 6 years later! She changed the date on the check and then blamed me for not reconciling my checkbook and bringing it to her attention. Yes, I have proof of the before/after check and witnesses to her behaving irrationally when I called her out about it. read more

From a buyers side and sellers side, I have to give them two stars although it looks like they do well in spite of themselves. A consignment shop is only as good as the merchandise which is out of their control, however I am wondering if they might get more contributions based on their pay out. A friend of mine brought a piece worth $100, the store requires a "membership" to sell of $20. They valued his piece at $80 and they take 50%. So he may walk away with $40 if and when it sells at $80. Told him he should have used Facebook marketplace. I noticed a brand of printed tank dresses they are selling at $24.95 each. They must have purchased the lot and reselling. I get it, but I can walk down to Marshall's to buy a simple printed tank dress for $20. Some items are priced well but they need to be cognizant of the retail stores they compete with in terms of pricing. read more

This is a wonderful consignment shop. Located right along Greentree road. Free parking lot in front. Always new items coming in. Beautiful and unique high end items. They have furniture, home decor, clothes, shoes, hand bags, jewelry and accessories. All merchandise is good quality. I frequent this shop often and have purchased many beautiful items. This is my third time stopping at the Savvy Fox on Greentree Road. The best I can say about them is that they are consistent....consistently rude but at least consistent. I live a good bit east of the city and this store, but yesterday on a trip to IKEA I decided to give it another go thinking perhaps the first two time were anomalies. Nope. The good: This store is packed to the hilt. The furniture looks nice but I was shopping for clothing. And the bad: Do not expect to be greeted or helped unless you look a certain way. With ample employees working, I walked around the store for a full 45 minutes until one employee spoke to me after almost bumping into me. (Make sure you have a good mask on if you intend to shop here) Conversation: Employee: (after nearly knocking me over) Ugh...hello. Me: Wow, you are the first person to speak to me here. Employee: Yeah, it's furniture day. (End of conversation) Yes, that's right, not: "So sorry, can I assist you?", not "Oh, my! Well so glad you stopped in", no "Oh, let me tell you about the sale that is going on right now" ....yeah, nothing else. YES, I WAS IN THIS TINY SPACE WITH THESE WOMEN FOR AT LEAST 45 MINUTES AND NO ONE SPOKE TO ME! NOTHING! NOT A WORD! Furniture day did not stop them from talking to the woman with the large Gucci purse and her husband in tow. Three women of the four there engaged in lengthy conversation with them. (They didn't know them prior but were impressed with where they live - Hey, the store is small and I have great hearing). But me in a sweatshirt and jeans and a ponytail got nary a word until a near physical collision in this tight, not at all socially distanced space. Had I had my LV and appeared Stepford-wife-ish, PERHAPS my experience would have been different. Apparently I did not view to be part of there desired demographic - btw, I was the blonde with the long hair and gray sweatshirt. Remember me? Yeah, most likely not because you didn't care to speak to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now as for the merchandise: Well, they have A LOT of it but it is really BASIC. It's great if you are a Talbots, Ann Taylor Loft, Chico's kind-of-girl. There is basically one rack in the far back dark corner with what they call "Nordstrom" merchandise. It is peppered with St. John, and a handful of designer pieces. Prices are so-so. And there was a sale going on on blue and purple tags but of course no one offered an explanation. To the person looking for great high end finds: You will do better on-line or in other consignment stores in and around the city. This is 95% mall brands like Chico's, WHBM, Loft, Limited, Talbots, etc. Not much for the more trendy dresser. Purses were the best merchandise in the store but you have to go to the counter and deal with Pam and Karen, and even though though they saw me looking they did not offer to show me anything. Or speak to me. SURPRISE. The joke is on you really. I bought nothing and it seems most other patrons weren't buying either. Also, if you don't give a care about being socially distant, this may be the place for you. No 6 ft. of distance here. Finally, Ladies, Ladies, Ladies; Get some decent lighting. Wow. Suffice it to say, this is my last time stopping there. Don't go out of your way for this one, fellow fashionistas. Hard PASS for multiple reasons. read more

Shopping? This store is very clean and full of items but wished they had more clothing. Old location had more space but they had a lot of basic stuff you would find at Plato's Closet. The clothing can be on the limited side but they have a lot of high end brands and their sizes are more for woman, not girls/teens. I check it out a few times a month since the turn around time is quick and they are the first place I go for dresses, suits and cute tops. Their prices are also great for buying and they have different color tags each week for further discounts. For example, I bought $400 worth of cute suits today for $44 and I know thst because 2 out of the 4 items had original price tags on them. Score! Selling your stuff- I have never brought anything there to sell, so I have no insight on that. They do have a strict policy for consignment but I see woman bringing in furniture and cloths all the time. Cons: Their hours are very limited, 11am to 5 M-Sat and 11am to 4pm on Sun. read more

Everyone who works there is really friendly (well except for Sue who looks like she just drank spoiled milk and seems suspicious of all her customers.) The women that work in this store are generally rude and have a bad attitude. Today I was in and I asked to check a price on something and after I found out how much it was I decided it was too much money. The item had the price on it. The women were very vocal when I said I will pass on the item as I mentioned that I could get it cheaper elsewhere. They started freaking out saying that the item was brand new and came directly from pier one and the item was never used. These women need to get over themselves and not take it personally when someone doesn't want to pay $23 for some used artificial flowers that someone used and didn't cut the price tags off. read more

Very rude! After dropping off a coat and three purses, I stayed to shop a bit. While I was looking at the jewelry, I overheard the two older ladies working at the register commenting on my "filthy" purses and ugly coat. If they were not interested in my items, then they should not have taken them! Consigners are what keep businesses like Savvy Fox open, so the employees there need to have a certain level of professionalism. Once my items sell, I will not be returning. read more

The manager was beyond rude and extraordinarily dismissive. I brought in over 10 pairs of Talbots heritage slacks that had been dry cleaned and were in perfect condition. They were hung in my cedar closet and as I was doing a spring cleaning, I decided to take them to this establishment for resell. Because they smelled of cedar, she refused to take them and told me to have them dry cleaned again. In reading other reviews, I see that I'm not alone in in realizing that the manager of this establishment needs a lesson in how to deal with the public. I am in a service oriented industry and if one of my employees ever treated a customer like this woman treated me they would be fired. I will never walk back into the store again - ever! read more

Took an antique to sell ...after about 25 days they disposed of it without notifying me. Owner claimed it was chipped, if it was chipped why did the clerk who checked it over not see chip, and why was it in the shop for 25 days before noticing?????!!! iF IHAT WAS CHIPPED IT WAS BORKEN IN THE STORE...WHAT A CHEAT. The store "lost" three of the seven items we brought in for resale. We were warned ahead of time, neighborhood buzz, that this happened frequently, didn't really believe it until it happened to me. Rude, Rude, Rude!! I will never go back to the Peters Township store on Rte. 19. The older sales ladies are overwhelmed when there is more than 2 people in the store. They need a refresher course in Customer Service 101. They need to retire!!!I I was a consignor and they lost pieces , and claimed they were never there! I have never been treated so disrespectful in my entire life!!!! This store may have received awards in the past, but it is getting a bad reputation in the community. She's honest, she knows her stuff , She won't try to pull one over on you. She's been in the business a long time. She has "excellent" employees that work there, they help you out anyway they can. And great prices on brand name clothing. I've consigned here as well. Dana and Molly are great employees here as well, they've both been here a long time. If you're a shopper, Savvy Fox may be okay. If you're a consignor, you'll want to go elsewhere. It took multiple phone calls and emails to get my portion of a sold item credited to my account. Another item has "disappeared." The explanation I got was that sometimes tags fall off items or are removed by patrons. It appears that means they get to keep the entire proceeds on those items because that item on my on-line account has been marked as "store" not "sold." Unless consignors return to the shop to check on any items priced at less than $50, they have no idea whether it was donated as promised or "lost" to the owner's bank account. read more

Consignors beware! This is the worst store I have ever consigned with. After my initial drop-off appointment, they sold the new on-trend items right away, but neglected to assign them to my account. I had to visit and call the store a couple of times to correct the situation. The owner was rude. read more

Consignors beware!!! Once you become an established consignor, your items get pushed back on their priority to sell. They love collecting the new consignor fees and gushing up to new sellers. The owner is not personable and very full of herself. On several occasions they have lost my items because they sat in the back room so long. I will never shop or consign here again. They have no other consignment stores nearby to compete with and a great location, but that's all they have going on. read more

Buying stuff ? Then fine. SELLERS BEWARE !!! Owner was all excited about taking my items. Framed pictures / furniture / high end orchestra theme items. When it was time to go get what wasn't sold, THREE ITEMS " GONE " WITH NO RECORD OF SALE, NO RETURN TO ME. No excuse, nothing. So were they shoplifted ? or sold for owner to get all the money without a record of sale. Photos taken of all items made no difference. NEVER AGAIN.
