She took my friend and I to the back and pulled a few dresses out. There were two I liked so I went in the dressing room and tried on the first one. This was the first time I placed an online order for a formal dress with Style Exchange. I got the dress and it was extremely altered from a 4 to a 0. There was a bullet under the description at the end about may have been altered. This was not in the item details. There is a NO RETURN policy so unable to return this and I payed over 200$. I love this boutique! I have visited here both as a shopper and as a consignment client. The women who work here are all really nice and the owner is very welcoming. They are very easy to find since they are right off route 51 next to the McDonalds and Anita stitch. There are a few parking spots out front but more on the side and around back. They have great inventory on higher end purses, shoes and clothes. If you are looking for a special occasion dress they have a nice inventory. Please for the love of god, do NOT bring your clothes here! It is an absolute scam. Sell your items on Poshmark. I think the owner profits on moms selling their daughter's old clothing (Hollister, aerie, American Eagle, etc.) and they end up forgetting about it and the stuff becomes hers. Or she talks to them so badly that they never want to come back in and chalk it up as a loss. The owner is very rude and condescending. She calls herself a small business, but evidently her expertise is in tacky, beaded Prom dresses...not high-end designer clothing and purses. Despite the dozens of empty Chanel and LV boxes in the windows. She will tell you that 'none' of your items have sold, but will also not be able to retrieve them should you have the audacity to ask for them back. She is very cage-y when you ask why she doesn't know where your stuff is. When you question something she told you previously, she will have a different answer and gaslight TF out of you. I called after a few months to check on my items. She told me, rudely that "no one is wearing jeans...give it time. They will sell". I called a second time another 6 months later because I was worried my designer jeans would be donated per the dates in the contract. She told me "we don't donate anything, your stuff will be fine". I felt weird calling because she was so mean. I called twice in 1.5 years and she made it seem like I was hounding her for these dumb items. She continuously used COVID as an excuse for her inconsistent answers. She was annoyed and angry that I was checking up on MY clothing to see if she owed me money. She rudely said that she wasn't going to get rich off selling my true religion jeans that used to be $300. Ok, psycho I can tell you are lying and I was adamant to not be played for a fool-- this was never about the money. I HATE liars and people who talk down to others. This woman is as fake as they come. I finally went in person because obviously telephone customer service is not her strong suit, and she was again nasty with me. I saw a Chanel bag that I liked and then asked if any of my stuff had sold. "You pretended to come in here to shop and you ask me about your clothes." She was literally upset that I asked her about MY items that she was selling. She tried to tell me that since it had "been two years" the stuff was in bags to be sold at a 'parking lot' sale, but that she couldn't get my things to give back to me because she didn't know where they were. I asked her how she was operating a business with this much inventory without categorizing it in her computer because she told me she "didn't know if it was donated or not". Mind you, they were J Brand, Hudson, bootcut high waist true religion jeans. There is no way those would be donated. She has AE and Abercrombie jeans for sale but donates the $200+ denim? Her story changes too frequently. She tells you when you sign the contract that she'll explain it to you in layman's terms... how after 6 months whatever is 'unsold' becomes retrievable for pickup. Her words DO NOT MATCH THE LEGAL DOCUMENT THAT YOU ARE SIGNING. When you go back to retrieve your items she talks to you like uneducated swine that cannot read a "CoNTraCT" even though she falsely described the consignment process verbally. She makes you feel bad like it went back into the community for the less fortunate and you're a jerk by even questioning what she did with it. If by 'community' she means her wallet, then yes it goes back to the community. I inquired about selling a $900 Chanel wallet. She offered to buy it for $110. I also asked about bringing in a brand new Louis Vuitton Noe BB bag that was $1400. She was insistent that both would sell. When I asked how much I would make she said around $250. This was a brand new LV purse with dust bag and box. I said no, that's way too low. I have a lot of shoes and purses. Saint Laurent, Gucci, LV, Louboutin, Balenciaga...I'm not stupid. She told me "bring in all your old Gucci's and Louies". Um, NO. She had a trial run to sell some jeans and tops from anthropology and they disappeared, you aren't manipulating me to bring my actual nice stuff in or to sell my designer bags for pennies so that you can keep all the profit. I sold the wallet on eBay for $700 and the bag for $1100 When I was looking for my items, she came up to me and mentioned my "evil eye" necklace saying facetiously with attitude, "oh you must have such 'good' energy since you have on the evil eye" and then rolled her eyes. She thinks she's slick with the backhanded compliments and HER bad energy because I discovered her scheme. The mean girl vibe didn't work in HS, it surely doesn't work when you are a 45-year-old woman. read more

Theives! I "consigned " a Michael Kors purse that I used once and cost $350.00. They sold it for $74.99 which is horrible and if I had known I would have told them no. So they say after their $20 consignment fee my share is $17.49! They have other things of mine and I said I would like to pick them up. They tell me no and I have to wait until the " contract " is up in three more weeks! Don't ever consign with them unless you want to donate your items for their profit. Update... After writing this review I talked to the owner. She was unapologetic and rude. After talking over me and not letting me speak she said what would you like me to do? I said I would like my other 4 items that she had returned to me and the $20 fee returned as well. She reluctantly agreed. I return to the store to pick up my items and they tell me she "sold" another item after I asked her not to. It was a North Face coat. My share $17.00. Please don't go there! read more
