I don't know it seems like maybe the owner needs to take a marketing management classes on how hair business runs. Unbelievable never have been somewhere so cheap at this point just run the hair salon in ur basement if you can't afford putting enough product in ur clients hair for best results. I was NOT satisfied and didn't get what I asked for I think it's because of the LACK of product applied. I mean I can tell even by reading the review that the owner is a cheapskate and has poor communication skills instead of focusing on customer satisfaction. Maybe then you'd learn that underwhelming service and poor communication don't exactly scream "luxury salon." Reading the owner's responses to reviews alone tells you all you need to know: passive-aggressive, unprofessional, and clearly allergic to accountability. Sad to say, but this place really is for people who think half a pump of mousse is a flex. Unbelievable.

She was able to get me in right away and did such a great job she's been cutting my hair ever since. She used to own her own shop near 10th & Broadway, but a couple of years back she was pushed out by real estate developers. Luckily she was able to team up with another downtown stylist who also lost her shop to developers and now works out of that salon (Jeannie's). Sandra is very personable and has a fantastic memory -- after a few visits she'll know all about you and how you like your hair. She's also very detailed, you don't leave until your haircut is perfect. A typical wash-and-cut will run $25 and includes a scalp massage -- my favorite part of the experience. She does both men's and women's hair. It may be just the timing of my appointments but it seems like more of her customers are men. I've seen her do children's cuts too, but don't worry -- there are never kids running unrestrained about the shop. Parking is a little tricky as there are only a couple of legal spots on her block. However you can park in the Clubhouse Lofts parking lot right around a corner and pick up a temporary permit from the front desk inside the salon to put on your dashboard. Granted, if you live downtown, you'd just walk anyway; but she has quite a few suburban clients as well.

My stylist didn't introduce herself so, I had to ask her what her name was. I had purchased a first time client consultation which included a haircut, deep conditioning, and brow color or wax. I choose brow color. The room we went into had one chair and little else. I assumed it was because they just recently opened. She asked what I was looking for and I said I've had the same haircut for years and wanted something completely different. We talked about a cut that would enhance volume at the top and sides as well as the back. I thought we were on the same page but, I was mistaken. I will say she did take her time and was very conscientious with her work. When she turned me around to look in the mirror, my hair was EXACTLY the same as when I walked in, just a little shorter! I was expecting SOMETHING to be different. She asked me what I thought and I told her it looked exactly the same. She said she added layers using a razor but, it just looked flat. Very disappointing. Great and easy to find location right on 39th street. And oh my gosh! I couldn't gush more about Rachel! She was so kind and great! She listened to me and took care of my hair. Was honest about any questions I had, talked to me like a friend. All of the products she used smelt AMAZING and I definitely bought some before leaving. I've had a hard time finding a stylist that I fully trust and she won me over! Haha! I will definitely recommend trying out this place if you haven't already. I also got to talk to Sarah and she was awesome and kind as well!! I had years of home bleaching and coloring and Rachel was able to even out my hair to a full bleach platinum blonde like a blank slate. I will eventually color my hair again but I am so, so happy with the way it turned out and will be rocking the blonde awhile! I also got a bang trim and she even styled my hair a little bit after she was all done. I am excited for the next time I come back! :)

Jesika listened carefully to what I wanted, took off exactly the right amount, added soft layers to repair the breakage, and textured it perfectly to bring it back to life.
