We have now been through two rounds of negotiations with insurance and Cliff informed us each step how to increase the odds of getting a fair deal : 1) how they would offer only 50% initially what should be paid, and 2) he then responded to the insurance by listing items they left off, and reasons the should be paid for. Additionally, we are in the Austin area, which is semi-new territory for J. Wales. Derek, our sales person, got up on the roof with our insurance adjuster and made sure we got every penny we were entitled to. I was still checking with other companies though and did not respond back immediately. Derek checked in periodically, but never pressured us. When we finally did decide to go with J. Wales, Derek and Project Manager Tony came to our home, went over all of our options, and answered all of our questions. After doing the paperwork, Office Specialist Shanda helped wrangle all of the paperwork for our mortgage company. James and crew worked hard getting the roof done and cleaned up very well. Recently, we found that we had a critter in the attic space, not sure what it was but it sounded big. After the exterminator could find no openings from the ground, we called on Empire. They came out the next morning after we called and immediately found tracks on the roof and in the gutters. After a thorough review, there were eight openings that would be large enough for a squirrel or opossum to squeeze through. They places metal patches over the openings and sealed the screws that held to patch in place. All of this repair in the same day. The crew cleaned up after themselves.
