My visit today was new onset hip pain and medication renewal. Dr. Nicholas Bremer has been following me . I have had numerous procedures/injections, physical therapy. Since my first encounter with Jax spine they have wanted to insert a spine stimulator which my cardiologist's are stating they don't recommend this procedure d/t the severity of my heart. Dr.Bremer is well aware once again stated that I should get the stimulator and i again told him about my cardiologist's not onboard. He proceeds to sign off on his computer stands up told me to make appointment in 3 months pointed at the exit door. Never once addressed my new onset of hip pain, did not listen to any thing I had to say. Arrogant and terrible bedside manner.

Was desperately hoping my surgery would eliminate my back and radiating nerve pain. Surgeon was in…read morenetwork but hospital was not. Practice billing could have filed a form as they are the only practice performing the surgery in a few hundred mile radius but they gave a lame excuse as to why they couldn't be bothered. So a couple thousand more out of my pocket on top of an already expensive procedure. That was the icing on the cake as the surgery was only partially successful. Follow-up care was lacking in that I returned several times over the recovery period and literally got no additional help and was just told to come back next month. Never saw the surgeon again only the PA. 9 months later a follow-up MRI listed my condition changed from severe to moderate so with pain meds I'm still barely functioning and still/back in PT a year afterward.

Of course no one wants to sit in a dr office, especially repeatedly - month after month. Of the MANY we have had over the years, this one is one of the better experiences. There is plenty of seating in a large waiting/reception area. Occasionally it is crowded and there may sometimes be a longer wait but I think this depends upon your appointment time (they try to be very accommodating when possible). The front desk staff are sufficiently well trained and always know who to direct your needs to. Once you are called to the back, you are put into your treatment room & the preliminary review is taken by very friendly technicians. A brief wait & the PA is available to address your concerns & review your progress, schedule needed procedures & offer words of encouragement. The PA's my wife sees are always smiling, interested in her concerns and well educated upon whatever procedures are being ordered. They take the time to answer her questions to her satisfaction, ease her anxiety. From all the PA's we have ever used - these wonderful ladies seem to actually care about their patients, take time without rushing, and always remain patient no matter how many questions we ask. The medical procedure side of the clinic is very well maintained - cleaner than some hospitals we have visited. Dr. K treats my wife well, and I appreciate him for that. The only reasons this didn't earn the full 5 stars : occasionally the patient bathrooms are less then well maintained, but this is understandable considering some of the patients can barely walk & Im Sure the staff is too busy to check after each patient. And often the tv is much too loud in the waiting room.

His style of care has been very interesting but confusing! Throughout him trying to find solutions to help me however, has been giving me mixed signals! One day he would say he is trying to find solution's to my pain experience then the next he & his office staff treats me like I'm a homeless person off the streets! While I was in VA he made sure I was given pain medication for the accident I can say that! However, I broke my neck developed a serious infection in my leg and had to have surgery on both my neck from front to back & my leg was so infected that they spoke of amputation But God saved me and now I'm healing each and every day one day at a time! I am in so much pain everyday! I have been trying to get treated by this office but they turned me away about some Medicare Issues the day of my visit left me with no pain meds! NO one would return my calls, messages and they have been charging me for services NOT rendered! Examples were while I was stuck in the hospital in VA I am showing charges ridiculously for those times! I believe the Billing department has overcharged me numerous times! One month I would have no charges all of a sudden I'm owing thousands of dollars for treatment I did not received in Florida Pain office! I was turned away when I showed up for my appointment one day because they said I did not pay my co-pay! They blamed it on Medicare! However I called Medicare and they said they were good on their end! Everything paid that was sent in and etc! There has been a lot of turnaround situations I get it! But don't say I haven't paid my bills when I know I have! Sometimes the receipts doesn't show your credits on the EOB's as well!!! I want to focus on being pain free NOT more stress!!!
