Driving from Indiana on our way to Florida for spring break, a series of dash lights and acceleration issues had us searching for a mechanic in a more urgent way. Not knowing the area, my quick search found Christian Brothers Automotive nearby and after reading their philosophy I knew this is where we were meant to go. Chris greeted us in as a walk in and served us every step of the way. Our vehicle DID NOT make it easy but Jacob, the technician, worked hard to find the root problem, yay for electrical issues. The communication between Miles and Chris to us along the way made us confident we were in good hands and we weren't going to go down the road hours or days and encounter the issue again, the type of service anyone hopes for when your family's safety is of utmost importance. I spoke with Stefany on a Friday, rode down to Bowling Green and I was so pleased at the positive energy of the entire staff. I cannot remember for the life of me the friendly gentleman manager (had an accent/experienced car guy) who took care of me but he and the secretary there were both very helpful and wonderful people. They got the job done on their promised timetable and helped me with the salvage title process and it was as painless as possible. Had the job done when they and van ready and done to satisfaction and the price was reasonable and they even saved me some money off the original estimate. They stated they were currently busy with a lot of orders but delivered for less than estimated and it was ready when they said it would be. The competing body shop place across the street never called back after saying they would do an estimate and was apparently were so busy they didn't bother to contact me or my dad back after we had them take a look.

I spent over $16,000 on a reman. Engine for my M5 BMW. I had problems with it from the time I…read morepicked it up. I drove it to Louisville and ended up with a smoking, leaking car, dead in Oxmoor Malls parking lot. I immediately called the shop. Was told they would look at it but I would have to pay to tow it back to them...even though this is covered work under their "garauntee" and warranty given for the motor work. I paid $400 to tow it back to them. Upon inspection, they found that the water pump had not been installed and secured back to the frame after the motor install and this led to it breaking in the journey to Louisville. I have called these people multiple times I've spoken with multiple people. I have received pushback on everything except for giving them money. They did not stand behind their warranty and they did not fix the car. I am now having to buy a new car because not only is the engine light still on, but the car still does not run, months later. I highly discourage anyone from taking a vehicle to these people to have any work done they will steal your money and leave you with the remnants. I am sure they're gonna have plenty to say about this. If you have questions message me I have Receipts text messages and phone calls. Do not give these people your money.

One thing I never expected was one of the estimators to weigh in on his opinion on how damage…read moreoccurred. He had no idea how our vehicle was badly scratched on the bumper, door, back hatch, hood and front bumper. We explained to him we went to the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area during a car show recently and where we parked there were people moving cinder blocks around. The clearances were tight, but at these events you try and do your best. We came back to our car and found what we believe to be concrete block scratches on several parts of our car including the front left fender, front bumper, hood, door, etc. where it appears something literally rubbed against the car and damaged it. I cannot prove it, but I believe some of the damage was purposefully done by someone on site, but I cannot prove it, we were not near the car when all of the damage occured. Other people at the site said they experienced damage on their vehicles as well. Long story short, Mr. Tim Pulliam, an estimator with Gary Force Paint and Body shop comes along "after the fact" and makes a statement to the hatchet lady at State Farm Insurance Company that he just does not see how the damage could occur at the same time, like he was there and witnessed the damage. It's always bad enough working with an insurance company who you have had insurance with for over 20 years on multiple cars as well as home owners insurance to have a know it all estimator from a body shop come along after the fact and try to give the insurance company a reason to deny a perfectly legitimate claim. They came back to us and said, well, we believe we need to charge not one, but 3 $500.00 deductibles! All of this began because Tim Pulliam of Gary Force Body Shop decided he would just flex his guesstimating muscle and throw a huge bolder in the works, where the State Farm Insurance adjuster could come back to us and say, oh, the Gary Force professionals said there is no way that damage could have been done at one time. There are no words to express our anger. I trust you will remember our experience when we took our vehicle to Gary Force Body Shop. This battle is by no mean over yet.

Jamie J was my driver, and he was fantastic--I was really stressed out having waited for almost 2 hours (NOT McCoy's fault--lots of miscommunication on AAA's end) and had an equally stressed out dog. Jamie was so kind, calm and efficient, and he let me and my pup ride in the VERY clean and comfortable cab with him. He towed me all the way to a dealership in Nashville, and was able to jump the car enough to close all the open windows. I really appreciate him and McCoy's service! As a PS, I want to give a shout out to the wonderful KY K9 officer who stayed with me the entire time I was waiting (he showed up about 1/2 hour after the breakdown). Greer Auto Service has totally given new life to my beloved VW Jetta. she is a 2000, V-6 that has…read moreperformed well over the years, minus a few issues thanks to the owner (oops). However, over the past few months I had begun to experience difficulty with the A/C system...would occasionally work though more often not. I was worried about the cost of diagnostic procedures, and once the problem was located, about the cost of repairs. After taking the car to another shop, the freon pressure was deemed appropriate but their options/ideas were stifled at that point. They did suggest taking the car down to Greer's for further evaluation; thus, we were off... The guys at Greer's were able to rule out the expensive fixes (much to my delight) and narrowed the problem down to 2 separate components, each dealing with the electrical system. We opted to go with the least expensive option first, they ordered the part, it showed up on time and had my car fixed in less than an hour. Best part: I HAVE AIR CONDITIONING AGAIN!!!!! And yes, that last statement is extremely important as I will be driving back to Austin Texas in the upcoming months in the evil heat. I am now able to ride in comfortable style :-) Best of all, total cost was $109.05 for both part and labor. Not bad considering past repair bills for the VW. Ouch. So thank you, Greer's Auto Service, for allowing more happy time with my car and for not taking all the money i had (which wasn't much, but happy to have some left over, hehe)! Other notes: the shop was clean, inviting, personnel were extremely helpful, answering all questions I had and even pointing out things on the engine to further demonstrate what they were talking about. As a female, and having dealt with many shops in the past, they treated me with the utmost respect and I would happily return, though hope to not need their services again...if you know what I mean.
