If you do not have time to read the full review, Sarrah Moon is a true master acupuncturist who understands your needs and delivers results with a soft touch, an easy to understand yet detailed explanation and a genuine desire to help you heal. Full review: I could write about all the visits I had, which by choice averages about 1 per week since 8/23/2020 but I want to focus on the experience and what you can look forward to. Acupuncture is more than just physical therapy, at least it is for me. It is working on my physical and mental wellbeing. It is pampering yourself in a good way. If you get getting electro acupuncture, the muscle twitch feels like getting a massage from within the muscles. Once the needles are in place, it becomes an amazing opportunity to get a quick nap or practice meditation. If often use the time to meditate. You can "2 birds with one stone" in healing both the mind and body. You will quickly realize how everything in interconnected within the body. If this is your first time here are 5 things to know: 1. People often are afraid of needles because we imagine the shots we get at the doctor's office. This is completely different. You really don't feel much during the needle placement. If it's your first few times, she will explain the kinds of sensations to look out for. In short, pinchy is not good while a dull ache is. 2. She is also a licensed herbalist as well. Natural herbs and acupuncture walk hand in hand. 3. She explains everything well from what she is doing to why she is doing it. The attention to detail is impressive. 4. As I mentioned in the beginning, she really does want to see you get well. She takes detailed notes about you every time you see her. 5. Trust is extremely important and Sarrah is amazing at making sure you are always comfortable and most importantly, safe. Fact is 3, 4 and 5 can be said about the entire staff of SC Sports Therapy. I recently had back pain. I made an appointment with Acupuncturist Sarrah Moon and she made me feel heard and understood. She asked a series of questions that helped her understand what I might have done to cause the back pain to occur. Then put me through a series of muscles tests for her to pin point what muscles were dysfunctional and weak. She decided to use the technique called electro acupuncture for my specific case. Best chiropractor in the city. I go to Steve once a week to get adjusted. Any time I have a pinched nerve in my neck or lower back pain, Steve is my go to chiro. Also they don't push a package here or tell you to come in everyday for a week. No BS here. The pricing is also very reasonable for the city of San Francisco. $60 per visit!! We are so happy and thankful we found Dr.Steve since he moved his office to Danville. Despite months of PT for our 16 year old son with his doctor after a severe tib/fib break, he was still in pain, constantly limping and had limited range of motion in his ankle. After working for 4 weeks with Dr. Steve (2x per week) on rehabbing his ankle, our son has made incredible progress and is back to racing motocross, running for cardio and is able to jump rope again- all things he wasn't able to do without pain a month ago. I went SC Sports Therapy for the first time and saw Sarrah Moon, L.Ac (Licensed Acupuncturist & Herbalist). She was AMAZING! Sarrah has a gentle touch and voice that really helps to relax you. I was a bit nervous to have acupuncture done on my face, but once she explained the process and started the procedure I felt so much more relaxed. I had the Celluma Pro Light therapy done on my face for acne and scarring. She also supplemented it with acupuncture on the very obvious wrinkles in my face. The treatment left my skin looking so much smoother and plump. It's amazing what the acupuncture does to the skin! I've been going here for the past 6 months, and it's been super great! This place is just across from the street from my work, and they're always really accommodating about appointments. It's located in the Crunch gym, and Dr. Steve is the best. I've been to other chiropractors, and I feel like they utilize a lot of scare tactics to get you to go. As you can see by the other reviews, Dr Steve is simply the best. I've been coming to Dr Steve for 8 years now because of my lower back. Way back in high school I hurt my lower back and every once in a while it'll flare up. Aside from the great adjustment, Dr Steve really emphasizes preventative measures. He's more than happy to adjust me, but wants to make sure I'm strengthening other muscles so that I"m not always in pain. Laura is also the sweetest! She's always more than happy to try and fit me in even on the same day!! If there isn't anything available on the same day she's always quick to reply with another date. You can also text now! Great option!! Vanessa is simply amazing. When my insurance covered it, I would get massages from her. She is so sweet and has great positive energy! Ive been a patient of SC Sports off and on since 2000, the doc is patient, listens intently, and is very reassuring when it comes to pain, he's helped me get through some very difficult back problems. Doctor Steve saved my life TWICE!! First time I slipped a disc in my back. I was misdiagnosed by two medical practitioners. Steve correctly diagnosed the issue before I had even finished explaining my symptoms, and he had a plan in place to get me back into top shape by my second appointment. I was back to exercising, running and biking before I knew it. The second time was after I had my shoulder completely reconstructed. Again, Doc Steve put a comprehensive plan together, and he had me back on the golf course SIX MONTHS ahead of schedule. I'm 18 months post-op, and the shoulder is better than ever. Vanessa is an AMAZING massage therapist and I am extremely picky. She has been good when I just need a relaxing massage after a long day or when I have an injury/want a deep tissue massage. Despite her size, she is very strong. She is also very peppy, but only talks if you initiate during the massage. Vanessa is THE BEST of the best. I went to see Doctor Steve to rehab a fractured elbow. Throughout my treatment process, I would always leave his office feeling a million times more flexible and recuperated. He's super friendly, knows his profession inside and out, and was always a blast to talk to as we worked on getting me healed. I never felt like he was pushing unnecessary treatments, or just trying to make a buck (like you sometimes get with PT). He seemed to genuinely care for my wellbeing, and it showed with how quickly he was able to get my back on track. Laura was also amazing - I always knew I was in for a fun conversation when I showed up to the office and she was there (which is always!). I had only tried acupuncture once before years ago and I had felt intimidated by all the needles, but when I injured my neck suddenly this year, my coworker recommended Sarrah and made me get an appointment. I've rarely been to a practitioner of any kind that made me feel so safe and relaxed and cared for and validated. My neck injury has healed since because of her amazing and skillful practice, and we're now working on other chronic issues that I have been long overdue to address (anxiety, hormone balance, digestion and so much more). As an active runner, who is closer to 40 than 30, I have come to realize that the aches and pains I am now experiencing at this point in my life are more frequent and slower to heal than ever before (joys of aging). After months of pain and suffering, visiting a great number of Chiropractors and Sports Medicine types all over the Bay area, I took a risk and met with Dr. Steven Adams at SC Sports Therapy at the Crunch Fitness on New Montgomery. Note that they are not affiliated with Crunch, they simply rent space and you do NOT have to be a member to visit. Going in I had LOW expectations (it was a "Corporate" gym after all) but I could not have been happier with my choice. The good thing about this practice (besides accepting most types of insurance) is that Steve and his partner Dr. Peter Lewandowski have been working with athletes for over 15 years each. Beyond this, both are high intensity athletes themselves and at this point feel they have seen (or experienced) it all. To date, their care has been phenomenal, recommendations solid and guidance right on. Even better, the practice is smaller (only the two of them plus a nice receptionist) so you get the personal attention that only the big "firms" offer. If you are looking for a Chiropractor office where the practitioners actually work with you and are friendly and exceptionally knowledgeable, I highly recommend you visit SC Sports Therapy. read more

I have had an injury for a few months, within four visits with Dr. Steve I was *finally* able to work out and feel good doing it. He adjusted my back and knees and really told me what I need to work on to gain strength in in my work outs. Also, I have been able to contact his office and come in on the fly and make appointments a week or more out. I felt like I was with someone that really cared about me and my getting better and out in to the real world. He never pushed me to come in time after time after time. I felt my health and well being were much more important to me. His office was not able to take my insurance but they really worked to make sure that I was able to keep coming in and get treated. They were really nice and worked with me. Also-- his massage people are great- I had two massages, one younger guy and a nice younger woman there-- both must be empaths! They knew where to really put the pressure and when to back off. I left SC Sports each time feeling 100 times better than I did walking in. read more

Dr. Steve is a real chiropractor and sports therapist. I am no athlete by any stretch, but he takes the time to recommend proper exercises to really get down to what will make me healthier and fit. The massage he gives before each adjustment is awesome. It's not routine. He actually feels his way through your muscles and really works them for the best chiropractic adjustment at the end. I will be a long time patient, that is for sure. He accepts my insurance (Anthem Blue Cross PPO) but of course, check with your EOB because everyone has their own unique plan. First of all, I'm a full figured, somewhat tall lady. Dr. Peter Lewandowski may be much thinner and a tad bit shorter than me, but he can knock me into shape so easily. Very very cool. I wouldn't dare underestimate this man when he's walking down the street. :) He's a good chiropractor, and understands the needs of someone like me, a person trying to break to the next level of fitness. I had a lot of tightness in the lower body due to my back pain, and my visits to SC Sports therapy have helped me access muscles I thought I had lost contact with forever. He immediately found out what my issue was - facet syndrome. As the treatments progressed, I found I could hike longer, had more stamina with my band and during exercise at the gym. Very good hands and very knowledgeable. They will explain anything you need to know. They even understood when I showed up late for my massage. They immediately rescheduled. I have been exceptionally pleased with the care i've received with Dr Steve. Wow, i just rhymed 3 times in one sentence, that's gotta show some excitement! I have been coming here for a few months for physical therapy for my knee. My first visit he gave me an evaluation, talked about my daily routine and my time availability so he could create a set of exercises that i would actually do. If anything else, this is something that i totally appreciate! I hate it when a doctor wants me to do something that i just can't commit to! Throughout my sessions, he also gave me chiropractic adjustments as part of my treatment which i feel really helped since my knee issues had a lot to do with my alignment. Dr. Steve is very encouraging, supportive and i feel like he really cares about my recovery. I'm not just a paying patient. My therapy stopped for about a week right in the middle of everything due to a 7-day headache that involved a couple ER visits, multiple pain relievers and finally a root canal. (Ironically, Dr. Steve knew my body was fighting something before i did, based on an adjustment me gave me that morning. So he pretty much gave me the head's up.) Throughout all this, Dr. Steve continued to text me to see how i was feeling, and how i was doing. i have NEVER had a doctor so dedicated to his patients, texting me on his off-time just to see how i was recovering from my ordeal. Since i've started coming here, i've recommended him to a number of co-workers. I plan to continue to see Dr. Steve for any chiropractic adjustment and/or physical therapy needs.
