I have been suffering from hand/ wrist discomfort for weeks now. It's never lasted this long before. After Hubs recommended that I see Dr. Lee, I finally called. I was able to get an appt squeezed in for the next day. The assistant explained to me what was most likely going to happen at the appointment. She was right. My 1st impression of Dr. Lee was like inhaling a breath of crisp fresh air. He was very personable and attentive to my concerns. He explained to me what he was planning on doing to take a look at my underlying problem with an X ray. He answered all my questions and explained them to me so that I understood. As expected, I met with the kinesiologist, Chai, who did wonders to my whole left arm. He started with this ultrasound device to warm and stimulate the area before using his gloved hands to massage out and get things flowing again that by the time I left, I was gripping harder, with much more mobility and swinging my arm like I haven't done in a while. Amazing! Unlike other practices, there are no hidden fees or unnecessary sessions or extended treatment plans they sell you on. I am very happy to recommend Dr. Marshall T. Lee (Jr.) and Lee Chiropractic. I am a private practice podiatrist and I can say that I had a wonderful experience at his office in San Ramon and would send any of my patients to him. Dr. Lee was excellent and drastically reduced my debilitating neck pain. The staff was super friendly and professional. Because I was in so much pain, they made a point to fit me in for a same day appointment! They also take Kaiser insurance! -- I had severe, debilitating neck pain caused from a new sleeping pillow. I literally couldn't get out of bed without wincing in pain. Just tensing my neck, exhaling too hard, or applying the brakes on my car, sent stabbing sharp pain to my neck. I couldn't look down, up, or to the sides without pain. I am a Kaiser patient, and after calling their advice line, they said they could schedule an appointment with my primary care doctor in a week. I told them that this couldn't wait a week because breathing or just tensing my neck, caused pain. I've been going to Dr. Lee and his son Dr. Marshall Lee for about 9 years now. They are absolutely AMAZING. Last Friday I had a migraine, and I called to see if they could fit me in. I left work early and was on my way home and they said come on in and we'll get you adjusted. (I don't go regularly like I probably should...just intermittently) Well. When I say it's life changing, I mean it. I was headed for an absolutely miserable migraine day. There are several meds that I take for migraines. I didn't need any after I got my adjustment. Dr. Lee said I was in worse shape than he's ever seen me. Once I got adjusted there was such a huge relief in the pressure in my head and neck. Within 20 mins my headache was gone. I threw my back out playing soccer and it was a bit concerning because I had a volleyball tournament less than two weeks later. Prior to seeing Marshall, my back was in no shape to be doing anything other than staying in bed, let alone jumping and diving around a gym floor. I saw Marshall a few days after the incident and immediately saw results. Within five days, he had me back in the gym at 90%. This injury would have taken at least 3-4 weeks to heal and I'm forever grateful for all he did to heal my back. "Dr. Lee" (Younger one) appears to be quite selective in his approach to patient care, based on my experience. Which unfortunately was very disappointing. He allocated only about 5-7 minutes in total for my session, repeatedly suggested that I will sour after his treatment, which was JOKE cause he hardly addressed my concerns or treated me. His attempt to adjust my spine on one side was unsuccessful, and he neglected to address the other side. Despite coming in with specific lower back pain, he focused on treating my neck for a significant portion of the brief 7-minute session. If you have a thorough understanding of Dr. Lee's methods, you might consider seeing him. However, I caution against relying solely on reviews, as they are very misleading, wonder how he got these reviews. Chiropractic doctors are like business people NOT medical practitioners, Please keep that in mind. He will only invest in you if he knows that you're a long-term customer and profitable for him. I came to Dr Lee to get a second opinion after going to nearby Canyon Chiropractic where I was diagnosed with and old injury, a broken L5. They recommended an expensive treatment plan over a 6 or more month period coming 2-3 times a week. I was relieved that they diagnosed a condition that I wasn't aware of but was skeptical of the treatment plan. Dr Lee was I would say awesome! I showed him the xrays and discussed my symptoms and being an "old timer" with lots of experience knew exactly what I needed and didnt need. He said all I needed was to do some traction and a list of daily exercises/stretches he gave me and to check in every few months or sooner if I had pain. He said weekly adjustments were totally unnecessary. So he put me in traction for a bit and then explained the exercises and sent me on my way without charging me one cent! Its been a couple months and I have been doing the exercises and stretching and bought a Teeter inversion table for the traction part and my back has been much better and no Chiropractic visits required. If my back acts up I will be sure to come back to Dr Lee though he knows his stuff and seems more concerned about helping his patients than creating a steady income stream. read more

I was recommended this place from a friend of mine. I attended Lee Chiropractic for about 6 years and saw minor improvements. While some of it was likely due to my inconsistency, I did not question things until I asked to see an X-ray of my improvement one day ( after being a patient for 6 years). Upon asking, I was told that due to my age it was something they only recommended doing every 7 years because of radiation. I started going to this office during my 20s and was in my 30s when I asked so it felt a bit strange that someone would be adjusting me based upon 6 year old charts. After one adjustment, one of the doctors recommended that I come in more often because failure to do so could mean that I lose control of important bodily functions and that I could need back surgery by age 40. This felt very alarming so I started looking seriously at options. It was not until I started researching that I figured out that there were services available to me that could actually IMPROVE my condition and not just maintain it. I was a bit disappointed that this was never verbalized to me and also felt it was strange there would be an emphasis on managing my issue but not improving my condition. Since then I have found another chiropractor who is preventative and more in alignment with my health goals. One good thing I do appreciate about this place is that they are budget friendly and reasonably priced for a chiropractor. They really work with your insurance company but also have reasonable all cash prices. They go above and beyond in making sure that you are getting a good deal for their service. I think Lee's Chiropractic is a safe option for customers who simply want to manage their problem. But if you are wanting to take preventative measures or are interested in reversing a preexisting condition--do your research, ask tons of questions and have them explain to you their overall plan/timeline before you decide if this establishment is the best place for you. read more

I was so excited to get an appointment with Dr. Lee Sr. to help my severe neck pain. I drove 30 minutes to get to my appointment only to learn from the receptionist that she had gone and canceled my appointment and booked me with younger Dr. Lee (who is much rougher) when I called to book a massage on a different day. I had specifically told her I didn't want to see the younger Lee. The patient who had been booked into my slot offered to give me her appointment. Receptionist said no and was completely uncaring. I would give 10 stars if I could to both Dr. Lee and Dr. Marshall. I have been coming her for 5+ years, treating arthritis in my neck and related pain. It feels like a miracle each time I leave there. I also like that he does what needs to be done - without regular appointments, or insisting I come back and back again. I consider it a testament to his skills that I only need to come every several months or so for an adjustment...then I am good to go until I do something stupid again! My husband also sees Dr. Lee and Dr. Marshall and seconds my opinion. This last Saturday my 12 year old daughter made a weird move and did something to her neck. 7 am and is she crying in pain. I took her to the office and was standing there at opening...Dr. Lee took us in...and in 8 minutes my daughter's relief was palpable on her face. While he clearly fit us in (and I am sure we messed with his schedule), he did not act like it. He put her at ease, talked to her about what she had done, and what he wanted to do to help her. After slipping on our hardwood floors and jarring my neck, I was referred to Lee Chiropractic. Dr. Terranova and Dr. Lee were completely booked, so I was offered a "supervised" appointment with the young Dr. Lee--Dr. Lee's son--a recent graduate of Chiropractic school. After a thorough exam, the young Dr. Lee took me into a treatment room and proceeded to manipulate my immovable neck. Needless to say, my injury was made worse and I needed x-rays, an orthopedic surgeon and three months of physical therapy after my "treatment". Every doctor needs to start somewhere, but a supervised visit to a newly practicing chiropractor should indeed be supervised. The neck and back are nothing to mess with. read more

Started feeling upper back pain about a week ago in what seemed to be my left-shoulder blade area. Throughout the week it became difficult to do even the simplest tasks, and sleeping even became something I dreaded given I would seemingly wake up with increased pain and soreness as each day passed. I tried acupuncture and cupping with a couple of well respected therapists in the South Bay, which really helped to alleviate the symptoms...but seemingly would not eradicate the issue. So I decided to try a chiropractor for the first time! Given I live in San Ramon, had a chance to thoroughly review Dr. Lee and his clinic on Yelp as well as his website. My experience was a fantastic one. From my first chat with Lauren regarding same-day appointment possibilities to Mary regarding insurance - everyone there was really, really nice! They amazingly helped to accommodate an appointment for me later in the day. When I met Dr. Lee, I was really impressed with his bedside manner and knowledge regarding back pain. After several questions, he said he had a pretty good idea of what was wrong...and 3 minutes later after he did what he did, my upper back was back to normal and nagging pain was gone! He then explained to me what it was, and the prevalence of it possibly happening again. Unlike what I have heard about most chiropractors who tend to upcharge and treat for repeat business, I can say from experience there is absolutely none of that mentality here. Not only this, can you believe that they even refused to take any payment for this initial visit? (Something about how this is how they do things here...wow! I am still shocked and honestly, feel a bit guilty, given that Dr. Lee had addressed all of my issues in the initial visit!) Dr. Lee and his staff are miracle workers. If you have back-problems, would not hesitate for a second to recommend. He is very, very good at what he does. My son woke up Saturday morning unable to move his head it was turned to the left and the pain in his neck was excruciating. I called our regular chiropractor and they were out of town for the holiday weekend. I found Lee Chiropractic on yelp while searching Chiropractors open on Saturday. They called me as soon as they opened and saw my son right away. Dr. Marshall was able to alleviate some of the pain right away even though his neck was really tight and in full spasm mode. They had him come back a few hours later for more ultrasound and adjusting. They were friendly and compassionate I was really impressed. I can report that he is completely better just 5 days from the injury date. I would highly recommend this office. The girl at the front desk was so sweet too. I want to add one additional bonus. I was fully expecting to take it in the shorts financially especially since it was a Saturday, and a holiday weekend. There was no charge for the first consultation and adjustment. Follow up prices are no more then the standard for local chiropractors and you don't feel like they want to pressure you to come back. I called them at 10, they gave me a same-day appointment (on a Saturday) at 11. Dr Lee is absolutely the best chiropractor in the area! Unlike the other chiropractors he's not interested in what is your maximum insurance coverage. He truly wants to help people and it shows by him taking time to fully diagnose a person's pain. His fees are reasonable. Getting in at a time is a little more of a challenge without advance notice. But I can't tell you how much he has helped me when I have had an emergency and just walked in, I may have had to wait a little while, but they try to work me in the schedule. Their staff is wonderful helpful and friendly. There massage therapists are absolutely wonderful top notch. The only thing that is a little irritating is that their billing system is for every member of the family gets their own bill. So if you make a general payment for everybody many times it does not get applied to the individual members it only goes on one members account. I have had issues with my neck for two months and Kaiser just keeps giving me muscle relaxers and sending me to physical therapy. I have gotten worse!
