Having dogs board at Teckels is really nothing to worry about - they will be taken very good care of. If your dog has special requirements - like needing to sleep on the left side of the kennel or whatever, Teckels will accommodate. The staff really are all pet lovers, and will treat your dog just like it's their own. Your dog will be exercised and loved and played with - whatever they desire! This is a bonus too, because any profit made from the boarding of your dogs goes directly to helping the rehoming side of Teckels. The only downside that I can think of is that the car park is only tiny and very pot-holey! But that doesn't affect the care and attention that pooches get at Teckels.

Yes, they are a busy kennels but this is no excuse for poor customer service. It doesn't cost that much to return a phone call and in my opinion is just plain rude. Caring for animals includes ensuring that items belonging to an animal are returned at time of collection. They appear to be a disorganised team. Logic would tell me that when an animal is booked in and they note the details down, they also make note of any items that arrive with the animal so that they can be returned. Not returning phone calls just adds to the frustration and is bad business. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Morgan (owner) is very good at persuading customers that he has a 'passion' for dogs and 'understands' them. This couldnt be further from the truth. I had a terrible ordeal with Outdoor Fursuits where my young dog went missing. Not only did Morgan deal with the situation poorly, irrationaly and told me my dog is 'cocky', he also decided to leave him wondering alone in the woods so he could carry on with his job. Unfortunately, this review seems quite personal. But I feel finding the right dogwalker does all come down to the descisions he/she makes, how they deal under pressure and lastly how they talk to clients! Overall Outdoor Fursuits isn't a service I would reccomend if you want a rational, logical and experienced dogwalker.

They have a small tropical and coldwater fish department at the back of the store. The animals don't appear distressed in any way. It's great fun to go and see the hamsters, rats, guinea pigs and rabbits. My only complaint is about the trolleys - they charge for them, and I don't always have a £1 coin to put in the slot. I would appreciate not having to pay because it's very difficult to carry big bags of sawdust and trays of pet food around. I feel that a trolley is essential in stores like this!

I'd have no hestitation using them in the future for pet sitting (although they do get booked up very quickly, so some advance planning would be advisable!) They come round for an initial visit to talk through your requirements, and also provide references (all glowing!) and proof of CRB checks and insurance. What I really liked was the visit updates they leave when they were looking after Jack (it was a bit like nursery reports - a really nice touch!)

Prices are quite good and I am always pleased with their services so wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.
