I have to write a negative review for this vet clinic as my experience was not a positive one and…read morerather weird to say the least. My cat had one slightly ingrown nail and I initially booked a visit to another vet clinic for claw clipping but they called the previous one, Thameswood, and the latter persuaded me to swap back to them which was clearly a mistake. Firstly, the price agreed in another clinic was £20 to clip my cat's claws, I explained the issue and the other place said they would do their best to help being ready to gently take out one slightly ingrown claw as long as it was not infected. Thameswood called straightaway and said they would do it for £35 if we come back due to knowing the history of my cat, not sure why I agreed to this, possibly due to the history situation, but they charged me in the end £50, a consultation price, not the agreed price, so they overcharged me without asking if I agree to this. Secondly, after a 5 minute job of clipping nails the the nurse came out to speak to me in a condescending and patronising tone trying to shame me for overlooking the issue, even saying my cat's paws will be amputated next time which was clearly an exaggeration and was not appreciated or was necessary as I came in to a vet clinic for a reason and expected a professional service which I could have done myself should my cat not bite or scratch during the process (she is also not a fan of claw clipping). Thirdly, my cat was infected with fleas after the visit as she started to lick and scratch straight after we visited the clinic, so this place is not disinfected for this issue and now I have another issue to deal with at home. Overall, a rather unprofessional and overpriced service and no customer satisfaction nor for the owner, nor for the cat as she has fleas now. I do hope that the manager will take notice of this feedback and take necessary measures to avoid such dissatisfaction and problems for the pets and owners going forward as it is not nice to be treated like that. I would demand a refund or sue if the issue was bigger..

She went downhill very quickly and had to visit an out of hours service as well due to it being the weekend. She was operated on there and then transferred back to the Purton Road surgery, where she was kept in for a further five days . I cannot express how amazing the staff have been looking after her. We really thought at one point that we would have no option but to put her to sleep. We felt thoroughly supported all the way through her recovery and they showed so much compassion, love and dedication. An amazingly caring team of people. A very special mention to Tanya. We can never thank you enough. You really were Teddy's guardian Angel. You have an amazing way not only with animals but also people. We'd also like to thank Nick for his knowledge and guidance. Another special mention goes to Jess and Dani and Lizzie (and anyone else we've forgotten to mention) who were the most amazing nurses, caring and looking after Teddy. Again we can't thank you all enough. We will be forever in your debt.

I have been using cedar lodge to board my cat, and my sisters 2 cats and dog, for the last 10 years…read moreand I really cant recommend them highly enough. The staff are always warm and welcoming and go the extra mile to make sure your pets are well looked after. They were happy for me to bring my own treats in for my cat to give her every day for no extra charge. They also offer a grooming and walking service for dogs which meant my sisters dog was smelling beautiful when we came to collect her! Having looked around the pens they appear clean and tidy, with cat toys and scratching posts and a heated bed area for the winter when its cold. All in all cedar lodge is a place that I feel safe leaving my pets knowing that they will look after them as I would want, and since I have found them I wont use any where else. They are competitively priced and are really a lucky find.

Idiot bros no# 2 recently developed FLUTD ( Google it and cat owners be aware of it ) and the treatment that Dat received was second to none and at all times they kept me up to date with exactly what was happening and although the end bill was a bit eeekk inducing I can honestly say it was worth it. All the vets that Dat and I saw were very pleasant and understanding and didn't even mind dealing with a sobbing mess and a very ill cat. The nurse when it came to take Dats home were lovely and made a real fuss of Dats and was a bit sad to see him go. You really couldn't ask for better a better Vets practice.

We started…read morewith some behaviour 1:1 (or Crisis Management Obedience as they call it!) to stop our dog chasing cyclists and joggers, then went onto some dog:dog aggression work when he got overexcited at other dogs doing agility! I'm pleased to say we have a reformed pooch who can sit calmly through an entire set of dogs running agility, and he's pretty good at it himself! Julian and Lorraine own a couple of fields by their country house and work there as well as at Stover Road in Yate. They have a nice new hut for obedience and clicker training, and the fields are permanently decked out for agility - with floodlights for winter lessons. Agility is £5 per group session (you will get about 5 runs in each hour long lesson) or £15 for an individual lesson. You can hire out the field as well if you just want to practice alone but it is hard to see what you are doing wrong so a lesson is advised! Their behaviour sessions are £35. Julian and Lorraine have taken agility dogs to Crufts before, and Anna who uses the field to teach us is currently a Crufts regular with her dogs so you know you are in good hands. There are a few levels of classes, so if you just want to start out as a bit of fun then find a space on a beginners group and see where it takes you.

They also have a great relationship with the specialist Dr. Owen in Bristol and referals are done quickly and effectively. I feel my pets are in safe hands here and would recommend them to anyone. Appointments can be arrange in a couple of days or if urgent even the same day. Great service and lovely staff.

Great little shop, packt full with all things your pet needs and wants. They offer pet food,…read morebedding, toys, hatches, grooming materials and tools, bowls & feeders, ID tags, training aids and even christmas presents for your pet. If you are something specific, ask! They can order lots of stuff in and the prices are totally reasonable. The staff is fantastic, very friendly and always extremly helpful. I know their space is limited, but it would be nice too see if they could include some reptile supplies and food.
