Decided to try this even though the Yelp views weren't that impressive for the price. Our massages were scheduled for 10:15 and we arrived at 9:50. The walkway was not very well cleaned of snow and for us golden Agers this wasn't a good thing. You check-in after walking a couple hundred yards from where you park, less if you're dropped off at the turnaround. One area going slightly downhill could use a railing for snowy rainy days. You are checked in and given two towels and a rope and a key to a locker. You need to bring a swimsuit and sandals. After changing you are than led to a room for an hour massage. I had asked for a Deep message and what I got was far from that. Very disappointing!!! My wife had the same experience. Next you shower and go to the different outside areas. I started with the cold pool then the hot pool. Next the sauna on to the Eucalyptus room and the Relaxation Solarium. It's a beautiful property and they stress QUITE! The one pool with a waterfall was closed for maintenance. I like the Eucalyptus Room and Solarium the best. After showering, we had a very good lunch. A beautiful, clean and relaxing spa experience nestled in a forest with a mountain overview. We had a couples massage which was one of the best massages I have ever had. The therapists knew their stuff and knew how to get at problem areas. Usually spa massages are just okay - this one was worth it. The spa reminded me of places in Iceland - lots of areas to take on different hot and cold therapies and relax in between. It was great to have a silent and digital detox rule to not hear everyone else's conversations. We went on a sunny day which made the hot areas a bit too hot for my personal taste, and nervous about sunscreen sweating off - but I'm not about to complain about being outside in a beautiful area with mountain views. The front desk staff gave a clear and friendly explanation of how everything works -- starting with the hot feature, then the cold plunge, followed by 30 minutes of relaxation. We came on a busy holiday weekend, and I was impressed at the turnaround cleaning times with such a high volume of people. It was a perfect activity for a rainy day in Whistler. This place is so beautiful, and impeccably clean. You go through a thermal journey of really hot pools followed by cold pools, relaxation rooms, eucalyptus infused steam room, couple different dry saunas, outdoor fire pits, and the best of all Is that is technology "free" and you have to be in absolute silence. A birthday treat from my fiance! We went here back here in 2024 during January. During this time was snow and cold! I loved that this place had hot/cold plunge. There are several areas with different options. This place is a nice spa experience. I was surprised with a couple massage and unfortunately was very disappointed. I felt that my massage was not relaxing and that the massage therapist was basically rubbing on lotion. I did not want to make a big deal of it. Lovely setting for reading and relaxing. Visited on August 5,2026 and the weather was perfect. I love a good Sauna and the spa didn't disappoint. Too much cold therapy. Eucalyptus steam a bit strong. It should be mandatory that people wear flip flops. A man, barefoot, was in the sauna with the worst fungus in his toe nails. Those feet were on the wood and no flip flops or shoes as he strolled the grounds. Foot fungus is highly contagious and can spread through direct contact with infected skin or contaminated surfaces. I was over the experience at that point after he entered pools etc. also make people sit on towels! Make it a better experience for all! read more

We booked a duo massage followed by the thermal journey. I would rate my massage experience as a 3 star and the thermal journey as 4 stars so I'm rounding up. To sum things up, I'd come back for the thermal journey but I would book a massage elsewhere. I was a little surprised by how big and bustling this place is. The locker room is very wet and you may have to wait for a shower. As compared to the rest of the property the massage pavilion feels like an after thought. The waiting room is essentially a hallway with benches in it which seems to be the main "behind the scenes" walk way for employees. As we were waiting for our massages there was a constant stream of employees going up and down the stairs chatting with each other, opening and closing doors, and just generally coming and going. I'm used to, and much prefer, a waiting room that's quiet & relaxed with comfy spots to chill while you wait for your therapist. Tea & maybe light snacks on offer. A peaceful/quiet area to begin unwinding and relaxing. The massage room itself was fine with a nice peaceful view and calming music playing. The massage itself was fine. Not the best massage I've had. The thermal journey is where this spa shines. You are encouraged to move around and try out different experiences and people do just that. Because of this, it never felt too crowded and people just sort of redistribute themselves consistently. There are plenty of indoor and outdoor spaces to rest/relax and enjoy the Beautiful property in or out of a pool. The wood fired sauna and hot pools were a highlight. The hot pools could have been a touch warmer for my preference. People were pretty good about the silent aspect which I think helped keep it feeling serene despite the number of guests. read more

The front desk staff were kind and helpful, but the entrance area is overcrowded and cramped, creating an atmosphere more reminiscent of purchasing bus tickets than entering a wellness retreat. From there, you descend into a locker room that feels comparable to a budget gym. The floors were unclean, countertop space was extremely limited for women getting ready, and there were no outlets for hair tools--only two hair dryers available. Overall, the space is in serious need of refurbishment. The overcrowding was another major issue. The facility felt more like Disneyland in peak summer or a zoo than a spa. Occupancy limits clearly need to be reassessed, as I spent more time searching for an available sauna or steam room than actually enjoying the experience. Given the price point, I also expected more thoughtful complimentary touches that are standard in this category: eucalyptus towels, chilled fruit, tea service, or anything that enhances relaxation and makes guests feel cared for. I was deeply disappointed. I have paid approximately $65 USD for the same spa concept in far more affluent locations and received a significantly higher level of service, ambiance, and overall experience. My first time going to for the Scandinave Spa and I can't wait to go again!! Went there on a Sunday afternoon, it was busy but you still had enough space to do most things. I would say if you plan on going during peak season, it might be a good idea to get a reservation for their Thermal Journey because their walk-ins get busy. I reserved mind a week before. They also a RMT massage but you have to book that way in advance because the slots get booked up pretty quickly. This spa is a digital detox so no phone allowed inside, which I think is amazing! It is a haven of silence as they call it. You have 3 hot tubs, 3 cold plunge pools, sauna, steam rooms, fire place, and the best are their relaxation rooms. You also have hammocks which are super cozy and a good place to relax. It is an experience that everyone needs to have at least once! They also had a small cafe in the spa, it is a bit pricey but I found their food pretty good. I got their maple bacon croissant and pesto cheese pocket. Both were amazing! Multiple people in my group struggled to book future appointments because the date selected in the web pop-up would not save and repeatedly reverted to the same-day date. Despite carefully selecting a future date multiple times, my booking still processed as a same-day appointment, which I only discovered after payment--resulting in a no-show charge since I was not in the area. When I called to explain, I was told they still needed to pay the therapist and could not refund the charge, offering only a complimentary thermal journey pass. Visited on 10/4/25 -- never again. The parking lot was full, forcing us to park down the hill and hike up to the entrance. Even with reservations, we had to stand in line for nearly 10 minutes just to check in. The locker room was packed to the point where I had to wait in the doorway for people to finish changing before I could even get to a locker/bench. The spa itself wasn't any better. Every pool, sauna, and relaxation area was overcrowded and felt gross. Moving from one area to another was awkward, uncomfortable, and crowded. The only redeeming part was the massages -- those were excellent -- but even then, the waiting area was so full that my wife and I had to stand in the hallway. If you enjoy battling crowds like you're at Disneyland, this might be your place. If you're looking for a relaxing spa experience, look elsewhere. read more

It was $305 tax included for an RMT massage with spa access during shoulder season. I went on a rainy Friday and it was packed. The steam rooms and saunas had JUST enough space. The hot tubs were crowded, I often had to share a nook with another group. It almost felt like a silent adult amusement park. Thought the RMT said it was very quiet the day before. Very luxurious experience, came on a Thursday night after a day of hitting the Whistler slopes. Wasn't terribly crowded The place is spacious where there are multiple sauna rooms (even one that's Eucalyptus scented!), multiple hot baths, and multiple cold plunge baths. There are also an array of relaxing rooms, each with their own views of the outside and peaceful music playing in the background. I think the temperature of the sauna rooms, and the hot and cold baths are just perfect! Especially when you take into account the outside temperature as a nice way to cool off. I liked how there would be random spaces in between the pools for people to lounge and just simply relax. This place was really well designed and thought out. There is a digital detox policy, where no electronics are allowed, and honestly to detach from the world for a couple hours just further enhanced my experience here in a great way. Price-wise, I do think this is a little pricey especially since we didn't partake in any massages. But for a unique experience while visiting Whistler I do think coming here was still worth it - definitely a favorite takeaway memory from the overall vacation read more

Decided to end my whistler trip with a Massage and Spa day at Scandinave Spa. The entry cost with a massage is a much better deal, however the massages are just average. Was pretty disappointed that 5 of the features were unavailable but you still had to pay full price. It was quite an experience to do the hot and cold features but was it so relaxing in the quiet rooms. You come to this place to disconnect from technology and reconnect with your partner or yourself. Food is a bit pricey if you plan on having lunch but drinks are reasonably priced. I would still recommend to anyone visiting to try this out. read more

How could anybody not like this place. I was wondering what I was going to do here all day and thought I might end up getting bored. It was the best place to be during vacation. We got here at 9:30 in the morning and it is now 4:20 p.m. we had lunch here and went from the hot to the cold pools and in between the seam room and the eucalyptus room but most of the time was spent swinging and napping on the hammock. I would highly recommend this place if you are ever a whistler. You're not allowed to bring yourself home to take pictures. They want you to really relax and unplug but the place is just gorgeous and I could not resist. There's a little snack bar that you could come down and get light lunches and I love their latte with oat milk. It was so delicious. I would definitely come back again. I skipped on the massage and took advantage of all the other amenities instead. read more

I definitely enjoyed my first experience at Scandinave, but I don't know if I would pay that kind of money again. Yes, it was relaxing, and the hot-cold-relax system was surprisingly soothing, but I'm just not sure of the value. With that said, I'll admit that the 15 minutes my wife and I had in the primo lounging spot was pretty amazing. It was one of the canopied lounges, perched high above most of the spa, with an amazing view of the landscape. That was surreal. We booked couples massages while we were there, and I was very pleased with the restorative massage I received from Holly. Thermal wellness journey that I've never experienced before. Went here with the girls after snowboarding 3 days straight and the experience is completely rejuvenating. The steam rooms were the most intense hot experience and the Nordic waterfall was the most intense cold, but totally worth it. My friends and I did about 4 rounds of hot/cold/relax within 3 hours, and honestly could've stayed all day. Bring your own robe unless you're ok walking around in a towel (robes are an extra charge, you get two towels included). Also, if you get bored easily, bring a book or sudoku for yourself, since no cell phones are allowed in the relaxation areas. Definitely come here to recharge and relax read more

Despite claims that they are a world-class spa that anticipates their guest(sic) needs, they did not have robes available for people who are not "small". We could have easily brought our own robes, but we assumed that Scandinave would have such a basic thing taken care of. Spa Utopia is one example of doing this right. A $15 coffee card in no way makes up for being unable to enjoy the experience like everyone else, despite paying $600 for two people. They also have you fill out forms there that could be filled out online prior. Arrive at least 15-20 minutes before your appointment. One of the worst parts is that it is completely silent. It was a truly disappointing experience at Scandinave. I've been to the spa 10 years ago and it was an amazing experience, but their customer service and nefarious management practices have made now made the experience very poor. First, I had a $100 gift card from 2018 that was never used. They rang it and said there was a $0.01 charge left and I must have used it. How so, if I was living in the UK and US for years, and haven't visited the spa in 10 years? It looks like they deducted the full balance and drew it down without my consent. I told them and the front desk said too bad, contact Consumer Protection BC. NEVER buy a Gift Card online, they don't honour it and draw it down without you knowing. Second, there's signs everywhere saying no phones. I abided to the rule. But the RMT's phone rang not once but twice throughout my massage. The RMT apologized but I was already more alert and less relaxed from it, especially given their rules not being followed by staff. read more

This is a nice spa experience that misses the mark in a few areas that to me made it a 3.5 star experience. First off It's OVERCROWDED. They seriously need to limit the amount of people entering. There were moments when you could not find a spot to sit in the steam room & there was rarely any places to relax in their "relaxation areas" They either need to limit the time of stay or again limit the amount of people in the space at various times. There was a couple of people camped out with laptops like at a Starbucks. Obviously speeding hours upon hours in the best seating , Ridiculous. In addition to this lack of space they have 2 heated hammocks for about 200 + guests. These 2 heated hammocks look as if they have never been cleaned & people cueing up to get in them one after the other. Another thing that really bothered me & my girls was this is the 1st spa in the entire world that I've been to that doesn't give you spa slippers. Most people are walking on dirty floors & outdoors paths barefoot then getting in the pools & hammocks. It's very unsanitary in my opinion. We really enjoyed taking in the views from the hot tub which was plenty roomy and hot! The steam room was also very relaxing. I had a deep tissue massage with Lori who was fantastic!! She had a very calming presence, gave a great massage, and gave me some tips afterwards for stretches for my problem areas. They have a no cell phone policy (for the best, as you're there to decompress and context with nature) but I snapped a few pics on my way out. This place is breathtaking; got to experience this with a little snow on the mountain, and a gentle drizzle to juxtapose the cool weather against the warm of the hot bathes. Definitely recommend doing dips between the hot and cold pools. It might not feel good in the moment dipping into the cold pool, but you will definitely feel better and refreshed. Food from the bistro is reasonable! The hot sandwiches hit the spot; not too little or not too much. Was honestly a bit disappointed by the brownie; it kinda felt like more of a large chocolate brick (If you're into that). But also, it's gluten free. Bring a nice book to read inbetween dips! One side note: If you drove up to the spa from vancouver, and are trying to drive back at night, the road conditions at night when its dark and wet is pretty terrible. Road lines are worn and its not well lit. Please be safe! After about idk 30 minutes on the way back to vancouver the road conditions were improve and had better lane lines and reflector thingys. read more

I've been to the Scandinave spa in Mount Tremblant, but it was during the summer which was a different kind of experience. Upon arrival I received a robe, towels, and a locker key. The facilities were clean. The staff were friendly. They offer water and herbal tea at stations on the grounds. Fellow spa goers were respectful and helped maintain the quiet zen atmosphere. There was something very unique about being able to be in the hot tubs and ice plunge pools and sauna while the snow fell softly around me. And there were several times that I could've easily fallen asleep in the hot plunge pools or relaxation rooms as the whole experience was quite relaxing. If you ever get the opportunity to go to the Scandinave spa at Whistler, I highly recommend it. Your body and spirit will thank you for the experience. read more
