We have stayed here a couple of times now and the location is great, easy access to the mall,…read moredining and skytrain. They offer free parking and a decent breakfast, which is super appreciated. The staff is stellar and we have only encountered very accommodating and friendly people so far. The drawback for this location is the noise factor, it's facing the train and even rooms in the back have constant train noise. They do provide complimentary earplugs, which is a great idea and more Hotels should really do. We are definitely going to book again if we plan on coming up, it's a good value for the amenities and area.

Connect to one of the largest Mall Canada. Across the street is the Sky Train, which is very good transportation to avoid the traffic. The hotel is very secure, if just checking in you have to get buzzed in at the front door to enter the hotel. Quit cozy with lounge chairs by a fire place. The staff are very diligent keeping the dining area clean. - in fridge: milk, yogurt, hard boiled egg, cream cheese - touch less juice machine - bowls of fresh apples, oranges, bananas - Dry Cereal, oat meal with topping - scrambled egg, pork / beef sausage, Bacon - pancake machine - toast, Eggo waffles, English muffins - muffins - cinnamon buns - coffee, tea If you get tried of the same breakfast there is coffee shops very close. With a mini kitchen, the suite resembles a business extended stay. Great location ~ within close walking distance to a couple shopping malls, grocery store across the street, a couple nice Italian and ramen restaurants with a couple blocks. Chica San Chen bubble tea shop downstairs next to the lobby! Complimentary breakfast was the usual but relaxing mornings with plenty of comfortable seating with window views. The pool and sauna was clean and fun to unwind in the water for this winter stay.

And at the Element Vancouver, that is what we got. "Welcome you two to the Element Vancouver", no haggling over small details. We found our way to our room quickly, and soon appreciated the Element's proximity to Burnaby's many restaurants. You do realize that you are effectively in a major city, with ambulances carousing down Kingsway seemingly at all hours, and the elevators seemed to take forever to 'latch on' to their destination floors, but overall the experience was a positive one. Front desk staff friendly and able to provide with extra supplies. Free breakfast had plenty of fixings, and we had a friendly lady named Crystal give us some of the details of the building during one happy hour. The pool was nice, if a bit overrun by the hockey crowd on the Saturday we were there. Otherwise there were plenty of resources, and the washing and drying machines kept us from having to do laundry on our trip back to San Francisco. Well done, Element Vancouver!

Recently when my work laptop stopped working, I was a bit worried about the logistics of getting it…read morerepaired because, as far as I knew, my company didn't have a branch in British Columbia. So, imagine my surprise when I was asked to visit the local office at the WeWork building in nearby Station Square, Burnaby! Say what? WeWork (yep, the same company that's been in news for mostly the wrong reasons for quite some time) provides workspace and co-working solutions that are used by companies, big and small. I'd read a lot about their offerings, but had never been to any WeWork office till I entered the premises of the one in Burnaby. So, I was quite amazed at how neat the entire setup was. Located higher up in the same building that houses famous restaurants like Cactus Club Cafe and Earls Kitchen + Bar, WeWork Office Space & Coworking is right next to Metropolis at Metrotown. Talk about prime real estate! There are ample parking spots in the structure just a few steps away from the office entrances, so that's one big monkey off your back if you're driving to work here! The reception area is pretty, colorful and spacious, and the staff that greeted me on arrival were cheerful and friendly. The place has quite a few office spaces, conference rooms, phone booths, a well-stocked kitchen, a wellness room, free coffee and what not. There are ample touch-free sanitizer dispensers, and it is apparent that lots of effort goes in for keeping the entire space spic and span. Happy that I got to check out this cool place on the pretext of getting my laptop fixed. The only downside for me is possibly having to lose the option of working from home when the pandemic situation gets better because there's an office location in the city. Sighs. But, hey, at least the commute won't be that bad because the place is right next door, plus (and that's a big plus!) there's free parking! Hoping I won't have to go back there anytime soon though
