We stopped by for a sandwich. They were pretty quick and had a few tables so we stayed to finish our sandwich. The serving size was huge. We split one sandwich between two people. We got the grilled chicken with peppers and mozzarella. I felt the chicken was a bit dry and could have used a bit more flavor. First time here - four stars. Bottom line upfront, they make a very tasty sandwich, and are pretty quick about it. It is called a deli and they do have some great looking salads and offer some Boar's Head deli meats, but it is a definite sandwich-forward deli. The menu is pretty big but I believe at least a third of it centers around a variety of chicken cutlet preparations. As an aside, I often wonder why a place doesn't just list sandwich makings and then let people decide what they want, but on second thought, I have to believe if that was actually viable, places like this would go for that. What do I know about the deli sandwich industry. Ok, so I stood back, figured out what I wanted and then went to the counter to order. The lady at the register was talking to some guy and for one moment I got a bit frustrated. I was like, stop with the BS and let's get going here. But then I had a bit of a NY epiphany-this place really doesn't need my business. It is well established and very local. Great sandwich spot, definitely worth a try if you are in the area; the only down side is this place is extremely popular so at certain times it's packed with people so you will waiting a while for your order....but it's a nice place to wait and the sandwich is worth the wait. read more

Had the pleasure of stopping by recently and ordered turkey on a roll w/ pickles, lettuce, tomatoes, mayo and oil & vinegar. side of colesla. Both were delicious - best sandwich and slaw I have had in a long time! Great service too. I grew up in Ardsley and don't get back to the area often. THE BEST DELI IN NEW YORK. Maybe the WHOLE EAST COAST. Grew up eating here. Ate through this menu EVERYTHING. Is amazing. This is the deli and chicken cutlets I completely compare EVERY other one to. This place is UNDERRATED. I will always be a fan on Mac and cheese Tuesday/Thursdays(please let me know if this has changed). I look forward to be back around where I grew up and eating here again. The food is good and the place has a big following. The prices are reasonable. Cleanliness is the problem, particularly when the wife is at the counter. It's hard to watch her cough and sneeze into her hands, handle garbage and then touch your food without washing her hands. I threw my sandwich out without touching it. I didn't dare complain- the husband is nice, but I wouldn't want to piss him off. read more

I used to come here all the time when I was younger and it was under different management. I was a little worried about messing with nostalgia l by returning and being disappointed. However, I have to tell you this place is just as good as I remember. I ordered and Italian combo and was blown away. Look at this sandwich! My wife ordered a chicken bbq and cheddar sandwich and she loved it! She's a picky eater so that says a lot. The best part of this place is the service. They still make you feel right at home and they call your name when you are ready to pay. Lastly, one of the owners made an ice coffee by accident. She offered it to us and make it clear that she just didn't want it to go to waste. She even customized it for us! Wow! I mean great service, from great people. read more

Lunch from Scaperrotta's is always a winner. Chicken cutlets perfectly seasoned and cooked, on a roll with mayo - delish! The turkey sandwich - delicious thin sliced turkey on a fresh roll - how can you go wrong! And the tuna salad, the egg salad - always fresh and flavorful. And they do get a line of customers at lunchtime (obviously the reputation earns followers) and they do manage to move it. An excellent choice! read more

Well it's fresh and made to order......slapped together though....I wonder if the owners ever had one of their sandwiches only to have it all slide out onto their lap... Man and woman at the counter/register are just miserable....this is where happiness goes to die folks!!! At least they could smile as they send it in taking $12.00 for a $6.00 sandwich. Like I said.....made fresh, made to order....was quite tasty after I took it off my lap....but the man and woman behind the counter....if they are married to one another they make a great miserable pair....happy happy joy joy! Best deli around. Fresh,thinly sliced cold cuts and great heavily seeded rolls and wedges. Chicken cutlets are killer good. They do it right, they have quick , diligent service and the guys and gals are slicing cold cuts with each sandwich; it the place to go if you want your cuts laying around. The sides are awesome- try the Mac and cheese. I drive from Tarrytown to Dobbs just to go to this deli even though I've got 3 delis right next door. My favorite sandwich is the Italian Combo. Now that i'm more local to this Deli I have come to love it even more!! The subs are seriously amazing and for the price the portions are generous. There ingredients always seem fresh and I have never had a bad sub or a bad piece of meat. The staff is super friendly and are always willing to strike up a conversation. Yelp saves the day again! Had a workshop at Mercy College this morning and wanted a bagel. Drove to this establishment at the recommendations on yelp. I had a bagel with bacon and it was Delicious!! Great choices of snacks as well. Friendly personnel as well! I am absolutely delighted that I stopped in. The gentleman that helped me was kind enough to entertain my questions of the neighborhood and point out the awesome view of the water. I am from San Diego and came to visit a friend. She took me out telling me about this place and how GOOD the roast beef is.. She's not just bragging.. SHE'S RIGHT!!! I had often watched SNL to see Mike Myers do Coffee Talk and make comments like" it's like buttah".. I now know what that means!! The roast beef was so tender, it actually felt like it melted in my mouth when I bit in to it. All I can say is it sucks that there is NO PLACE in San Diego that can do Scaperrotta's any justice. Stopped in for a sandwich and had my socks knocked off my feet. I know you're thinking it's just a sandwich, but let me tell you, no it wasn't!! I'm from the bx and Arthur Ave has spoiled me. The bread, oh my the bread, it was perfection!! I could tell it was super fresh. And the wonderful man gave me a pickle which was YUGE btw and it had a CRUNCH!! It's always so good to find a good crunch. I love this place and will be making the drive to get more when ever I have my cravings. They make a mean grilled cheese sandwich. My four year old demanded that we go to Scappys for lunch the other day. There was no discussion about it. This kid rules the household. Anyway, we got to sit outside at one of the few tables set up. The place gets pretty busy so there is a bit of a wait on the food. No biggie. Totally worth it. read more

Can only speak for the chicken cutlet sandwiches but they are great! Hot and fresh. Great variety of add ons and sauces. The staff is very friendly. We always enjoy coming here. My kids love the fried eggplant with fresh mozzarella and basil topping on a wedge. I believe it is the number 47 or 46. The eggplant is always fresh and that makes the sandwich excellent. Highly recommended. read more

We live very close, so it was by chance we found this gem. Definitely come here for their chicken sandwiches- there are a ton of options to choose from. I've had the roast beef sandwich, and it was a hearty portion. I highly recommend this place. Try to come before lunch time to beat the line, but if you do come around 12, the line passes rather quickly. read more

I've lived in and around the area for years and never came here until a couple of weeks ago when I needed a breakfast sandwich so I figured I would try this place. Egg, bacon and cheese roll was delicious, decent coffee too. I liked it so much I went back the next day for one of the "signature" chicken cutlet sandwiches....I had the one with cheese and barbecue sauce and that was fantastic too.....really fresh bread and tasty cutlet! The place was busy with locals who were already in the know and the staff were enjoying banter with the regulars. My service was a little more brusque and efficient.....which was fine, probably because I was a newbie. I ate in both times and it is clean, bright and plenty of space. He tried to tip 20% on his lunch bill, asking the waiter to round to the total from the $50 check to $60 total The waiter decided that meant adding a $60 TIP to the order and running the credit card at $110 for their lunch. Simple mistake, maybe. We apparently will never know, because Liebman's has never called back after two different attempts to speak with management to rectify the situation. We were told that there was no manager there twice, but assured that we would receive a call back shortly. Nothing, apparently. Is Liebman's an establishment that targets the elderly and figures that they can get away with it because sometimes people don't look at what they're signing. Who knows? Not me, because no-one from Liebman's decided that it was important to return multiple calls to figure that out. So, IF you go to this place, please check your bill and then check it again, because once you leave the restaurant, they seem to have no desire to explain why they charged you a 120% tip (or even attempt to keep you as a customer) Bonus fact: I waited three weeks to post this to give them every chance to do the right thing and have a manager reply.

There is traditionally 15 min parking in front of the store but due to the Pandemic it is not being enforced. As a healthcare worker pulling long hours day in and day out during trying times the owner or worker decided to harass me twice after pulling a 20 hour shift and turn around time in less then 6 hours. He proceeded to tell me that he would complain to authorities if I continued to park in front of his store. He yelled at me being a brown person and how he is superior. He stays open much later and opens up early which is violating the shelter in policy but I don't care about that. He does not own the street and is not the only business on the street.I will NEVER patronize this place again.

A good convenience and grocery shop in ardsley that have a large selection sandwiches , wraps ,…read morehot and cold foods , juices , smoothies , snacks , grocery stuff , etc. Got us a few turkey and Swiss sandwiches, soups, some sweets and a few cold drinks before heading back to Astoria . Tasty sandwiches and prices are fair for what you get and the boars head brand is grade A. The fruits and veggies produce is very fresh as I got some apples , oranges , grapes , celery and carrots for home which will not go to waste at all . Overall a very good food market with the healthy stuff you won't mind eating .

I said to myself, Marc....it's always Candlelight Inn or Rudy's and, on a day when I want to take a walk on the wild side.........Buffalo Wild Wings. Today I wanted to try something different. Rewarded for my So I see this icon and named Wings, Inc.....sounds industrial and like a solid wing place....right? Like Monsters, Inc. They were soggy, tasteless, regrettable-to-eat and barely consumable wings. They were gross in appearance and bad in taste. My stomach hurts, I'm bloated and it's going to be long night tonight nursing my stomach, dispirited mood and culinary angst. So, you're asking yourself--can't be, no way... a wing restaurant couldn't possibly...... I googled the name--nada. Yelped the name-- zilch. Now I was punching-air-angry -- did someone whip these up in their garage? Stomping mad-- I googled the address 645 Saw Mill River Rd, Ardsley, NY 10502. It's a canard, it's a ruse, it's no Wing Restaurant. It's not even a restaurant. It's a grocery store. A market, if you will. Take a look at the front of the store with shopping carts in the pictures. Fake-wing-place. Now, I don't want to be besmirch the food just because of the Fugazi uber listing...but.....the wings were revolting, methane-build-up-producing gross. Given the fact that they listed a cornerstone market as a restaurant and perpetuated a canard, and because the food was terrible--- a gracious one star.
