It was piles and piles and shelves full of comics from marvel to mangas and also a lot of Funko Pop toys. They even have a Rugrats comic... if ya know, ya know (hello 90's kid). Apparently they don't have live inventory on their website but you can come in and ask for help. The staff/owner was really friendly and welcoming. They will be having a Black Friday sale so if you're looking to score a deal, be sure to check it out soon. Now the store could be a bit more organized... but with so many comics, I don't know how else they can improve it. They also have a lot of dust in some of their shelves but the comics are fine.

(wheres gerrard? pape? is that in the beaches?) ....this might be the dialogue you might be having...understandable if so, because this place is reallly for the neighbourhood folks. itd be great to be a kid living around this neighbourhood and be able to pop into this place after school. its on a street that is mostly residential with some stores on it, but youd have to know the neighbourhood or be a comic fanatic to know of it. that being said, they have an ample supply of action figures; mainly superheroes are to be found and at prices a bit lower than you might find elsewhere. its a small place, so theyll have a bit of everything, with a focus on superhero and action comics. but still, there are graphic novels available and the owner is very helpful and easy to talk to. hell also order in issues that you are looking for if you want. for the sheer convenience, id come here if i knew exactly what i wanted, and because, if the price of the comic is the same as everywhere else (as it usually is) they offer one of those buy 10 get one free (there are conditions of course but the principle still stands). overall it was a great neighbourhood find and i will be back, especially to get successive issues of the superman comic i bought - if its any good!

The efforts go into the merchandise and service rather than ambiance, and considering the near impossibility for a comic store to muffle that stuffy feeling, I'd settle for what Atomic Age has going. The store houses a good collection of comics and graphic novels, offering new and vintage. And of course, the usual knick knacks at the front counter. The owner is very nice and helpful and will order in issues of series not found on shelves for customers. It's a pretty easygoing place and owner was great with helping me find what I was looking for, but it's a little too packed inside for browsing. Good place to visit if you are able to locate it - it's very small and easily overlooked, and located in a mainly residential neighbourhood. Normally a place like this would get the standard 3 stars but the owner was very helpful and friendly so it gets a bump up.

My wife and I wandered into this store yesterday afternoon while taking a walk down Bloor. This store is PACKED from the front to the back and while that might overwhelm some people, I absolutely love being surrounded by thousands of books and the smell that comes with that. I spent a good thirty minutes digging through horror, Canadian history, poetry, and everything else before finally landing on something to read on the flight back home. The gentleman working was also great and definitely the kind of person I want to interact with while book shopping (I also support anyone going to see Napalm Death and Primitive Man). Overall, Doug Miller books is a must stop for any reader out book hunting. The selection was fantastic, the store was cozy, and the staff was fantastic. I'll definitely be back in the future!

I was looking for specific books to complete my run. He was too concerned with bagging and boarding books at his counter. I asked what he had and what the prices of those books were but he would not tell me. Instead he said it would take him a while to finish doing what he was doing and that i should check "over there" to see the ones in his case. I would have liked to see what he had and if he really wanted to make a sale he would have showed me the key books he had right there at the cash. Not a friendly owner and the store is a mess. I would not recommend this store. There are better options out there.

The staff are friendly, and while they lack the real estate of other larger locations, you can always find something good there. For some of the feature books they put out in the tables, I've noticed they distribute them amongst all the locations, so if you were looking for a particular book that then sold out, you can check at the other locations. This location in particular I've found is good for older magazines and Blu Rays, but I've also found some good coffee table books here. Always worth the trip. BMV rocks!

The vikings turn to Antonio and say, "you will not see this again. It is the old ways." That's Red Nails II. The epic sequel to I know not what. If you're looking for a deep dank basement pit filled with comics, and overpriced books on the wall, then this is your place. It's everything you remembered and loved from the 1980s. Right down to the group of regulars and staff that eye you wearily when you walk in. They'll follow you around the store, and no matter how long you pause at something, they will say nothing. Conversations will stop when you enter, only to start up again when you leave. While I have no doubt that becoming an insider wouldn't be all that difficult, it's a question of whether you'd want to. The world of comic books are changing, and this seems a hold back to the days of snooty shop keeps, and childish fans. Now, this could be wrong. I've only gone in four or seven times. But, the atmosphere is not one I've found of acceptance, and people new to comics have not felt comfortable or helped within. And, when there are so many other shops in the city that do make an attempt to welcome and introduce new customers to an art form, there's little reason to stop here. Unless there's something about the old ways you really truly love. Something comforting; like the sacrifice of doomed loved ones, and those closest to them, amongst the heathenish flames, cast upon the rocky seas.
