But make sure, it is done after the PLAYER may NO LONGER register to play for ANY other team that Season, (July 1st). Their Mission Statement IS A LIE, for individuals. For making a living for Liam, and those that PROFIT, from his school, the Mission Statement, is a clause of being accountable to the Corporation. The Power Soccer program is an excellent, well run, high value organization…read more Over the last couple of years, we have had both our kids attend a number of their weeklong summer day camp programs, and one child has been enrolled for the past two years in their yearlong academy program. We have been impressed with both. The summer camps - which run on a weekly basis - are well organized, coached by skilled and engaged coaches, and value adding in terms of skills. Not babysitting programs, the kids came back each day excited about the program and keen to return. The coaches expect engagement and commitment and the kids buy in. The Power organization is responsive and easy to deal with. The invitation-only academy program has been excellent. It is not an insignificant commitment. Our 10 year old practices three days a week and in season, plays a game also. We've been impressed with the well-oiled structure, the knowledge and empathy of the coaching staff, and the culture of civility and professionalism that Power FC imbues in both its students and their parents. For children of this age, the program is focused on skills development, and team games are not all about winning - they are an extension of the learning opportunity. As a result, the kids are focused on their own development, they are supportive and play well with each other, and no one - parents included - has too much at stake in any given game. Power expects the parents to be supportive but not coaching from the sidelines, and the difference between this quietly professional style and the 'tiger parent/coach' is often evident on the sidelines in our games. In our case, our child is one of two girls playing on what is otherwise a boys' team - sadly there are not enough girls to field a girls only team. She feels included and valued by both the coaching staff and her team members, and on rare occasions when they have played against girls teams, they have played kids a year older, and typically dominated. Seeing my daughter play in other forums with kids her age validates my perspective that the skills she is learning at Power are among the best available in the city.

Joining a team means I'm guaranteed to do some sort of physical activity once a week. Even though we don't always win, we always have a great time on the field. Being in a "Social" league means everyone is very fair (for the most part). It's playoff time and we just (miraculously) beat the first place team. Maybe my opinion is slightly skewed tonight...

Compare to any other leagues in the city and other cities around the world and you'll realize you're being gouged. I would be fine with the price if the product was of high quality. Instead you get terrible customer service and no referees. I realize the sports are co-ed and recreational, but no referees leads to a multitude of problems, especially when the games become more intense (i.e. playoffs). I played one season of indoor soccer in this league and it was a horrible experience. First of all, there are no nets, instead you use flipped elementary school benches like you're a 5-year-old. We had a disputed goal in the semi-final game (what a surprise!) and the TCSSC head office staff was extremely unhelpful when we tried to resolve the issue. We vowed never to play in TCSSC again. Please support another GTA sports league: XTSC. Their prices are cheaper, indoor/outdoor soccer includes real nets, all games are officiated by an XTSC referee, and the staff are extremely professional and accommodating. The problem is that they only have soccer, dodgeball, and volleyball at the moment. Please support them so that they can start to add more sports!

As a Physical Education teacher, I'm extremely critical of fitness trainers and Cathrine has surpassed my expectations. I highly recommend this gym and Cathrine if your looking for results. The classes are small enough that you feel that your in a one on one class. Technique is everything and the adjustments she makes really challenges your body to adapt. Great atmosphere! Catherine looked very closely at my body's mechanics and figured out a workout program that would help me with my weak areas so I would get results. There are 6 weeks in each round - weeks 1-5 consist of skill-building drills and a game at the end culminating in week 6, which is all game. The coaches stress repetition to build muscle memory, strength and consistency and are always there to offer feedback and words of encouragement. The sessions are fast-paced and well-planned, leaving very little time for standing around. Full of positive energy and run by wonderful, knowledgeable coaches, TWVC is a great place to up your game, make friends, and build confidence.

The Toronto Warriors Volleyball Club deserves 6 stars!…read more I joined this club to maintain my skills and learn proper technique, to exercise and meet new players. I'm very happy to have found them as you couldn't ask for more dedicated and passionate people than Chris and Cris. Classes include a short workout, warmup exercises, a good chunk of drills and a game at the end. The official time slot is currently 9-12 every Saturday but since coaches are there early and leave late so you can get more practice in this extends it to 4 hours. That is their mentality and this is the atmosphere you can expect! Since there are two coaches, after the initial exercise / warmup people are split into two groups, a beginner / lower intermediate and higher intermediate / advanced group that train separately. This allows for everyone to join at any stage of experience and also to always enjoy the level of practice and game your teammates can bring. We currently have 4 courts available to play, with I guess around 80-100 people showing up every week. Classes rotate every 6 weeks which is great as it allows you to join at your convenience and not have to wait longer like with some leagues. Their coaching style is always positive and disciplined, the coaches walk around during each drill, help individual players use proper technique and point out improvement opportunities. I've learned many tweaks to my hitting, setting and passing movements that will help me win more games and simply enjoy the game more for life. They even pay attention to point out different techniques for shorter and taller players. Overall, it's a safe and amazing environment welcoming to all skill levels and I can't wait to continue learning with them.
