The dj only played some of the songs on my cocktail playlist, and just repeated them two and three times. Then he called my playlist "weird" during announcements after the speeches, direct quote "I know why your playlist is so weird now that you guys said you were in Summerstage." It was definitely noticed by the guests and by the venue. Playing the chosen songs and not insulting the bride and guests is a bare minimum standard of competence that was not met. My wedding was May 8, 2015! My DJ was beyond OUTSTANDING! I did not hear one complaint and he was completely perfect with timing and keeping us having fun! There's not one single thing I could say wrong about working with this company and our DJ whose name is Nick Vecchio aka Dj Romeo! Thank you all for the best experience ever! There's no way anyone could have done a better job! We also had a monogram and were able to send them a negative of the logo we had been using for everything and they turned it into our light monogram! It was perfect!!!!! WOW - to say we were blown away by DJ Romeo (Nick) is an understatement. Prior to the wedding, Schaffer Sounds had us complete and online form describing our likes, dislikes, wants, and absolute hates. We had a quick zoom meeting with management, and then that was that! We met Nick the day of and he sat down with me for 2 minutes - the perfect amount of time to confirm a few details and feel my vibe day of without taking me away from my cocktail hour for too long. AND WOW he really took in our vibes because he nailed every. single. song choice. Nick fed off the crowd and had everyone out on the. dance floor. He mixed through songs and really made it feel like a club/bar, not a ballroom reception. At one point I told Nick, (or at least I tried to scream it to him) that I felt like I was at Philly's finest bar (the upstairs at Franky Bradley's) and he kept the hits coming. Not only that, to our surprise Nick got the BEST shots/mini video clips (assuming from his phone) of some really special wedding moments, which meant the world to us since we opted out of a videographer. Two of my bridesmaids are getting married in California and STILL begged for his card/contact information they were so impressed. We used them to DJ our wedding, and they were wonderful. Very friendly on the phone, very reasonably priced compared to other companies I contacted, and they weren't deterred by my random song requests; actually I think they were excited for the challenge. They were also very nice when we got closer to the wedding and I started calling to change my song lists and make more random requests. The DJs are assigned closer to the date, but you also get a form to fill out if you have preferences for age, gender, that sort of thing. On the day, the guy was very nice, professional, and ended up randomly knowing one of my aunts from being in a wedding with her like 20 years ago! He did a great job, and even came to ask my permission to play a song someone had requested because I'd said I didn't like that type of music. Schaffer Sound was our DJ for our ceremony and reception at Duportail House and we could not be happier with how they delivered. Prior to our wedding, the communication was great. There was no stress or concern about our choice as we were met with professionalism at every turn. Anthony was our DJ, he was fantastic. Day of event, there were a lot of requests and questions vendors had, which got a little tiresome. This was not the case with Anthony, he showed up and executed everything perfectly and without any guidance, something I noticed and appreciated in hindsight. He selected music for the crowd and kept our dance floor filled all day. He did not make it about him or talk excessively as we've seen DJs do at weddings. I don't even know where to begin with this review. Schaffer Sound was amazing, specifically Pat. We got married on May 25, 2019 at The Radnor Hunt in Malvern PA and Pat was our DJ. I had originally booked them because someone told me "book Schaffer, that's who everyone in Delco uses" and now I know why. Pat did an amazing job, we haven't been able to say enough about him. I am controlling, so I delegated a lot to Chris over email prior to the wedding, I was worried that would be annoying to them, but did it anyway nonetheless and he let me know that he thought it was great and appreciated that. I was very nervous about the DJ because it is essentially the most important component to a "fun" wedding. Having not met any of these guys in person prior to the wedding, I put my trust in them and I'm so glad I did. We used them for our ceremony as well, which Pat handled perfectly. I even added another song to the bridal party processional the night before once I saw how long the aisle was at rehearsal and they got it and used it. Pat played every song on my playlist, and did not play anything I requested to not be played (which was a lot) the songs he played on his own accord all went very well with the playlists I had requested and with the tone of the night. He was super fun to work with and totally understanding of everything that was asked of him. Every song was cut where I had asked them to be, and everything was just exactly what I asked for. We loved his personality and have even had guests ask about him. We know couples getting married in the coming year and we have recommended they request him specifically. Great job by Tony. I was compelled to write this review because of the negative review Tony received earlier, which i think influenced my thinking a bit but thank God i stuck with Tony. For my daughters sweet 16 Tony provided exceptional service playing the music we requested and was very professional. Every step of the way he made sure we were satisfied and kept asking us if we had any additional requests. All the kids in the party were extremely impressed with the quality and sound (and believe me thats not an easy demographic to satisfy) Overall I was very impressed with Schaffer and would definitely recommend them to anyone and would hire them again in a heartbeat. Let me begin by saying, "Wow, Chris Romanelli of Shaffer Sound is a pro!" My wife and I initially were looking at bands for our wedding, but decided to go the DJ route to keep the cost down. In hindsight, I would have paid a band's price to have the same experience that I did. Chris was very professional, interactive, and his music selection was exactly what I was looking for. He was adamant that I receive the exact music experience that I wanted and made sure that it happened. In fact, he personally checked in with me, notes in hand, midway through the night to make sure that there wasn't any songs that I decided on last minute to add to my "must play list." I later found out that he asked my wife the same question - talk about attention to detail! We even changed two of the entrance songs at the last second and he handled it with ease. Let's put it this way, I'm rushing to get things done before my honeymoon right now. Love these guys! The music was a very important part of the reception for us, and Schaffer Sound was not only undaunted by the four pages of song requests we sent them but our DJ Bill seemed delighted by the selection!! Anything we requested, even if he didn't have it readily available, was played within ten minutes or so as he found it. The office staff were helpful and able to help us through the process of what we would need when and what we needed to consider regarding intros and specific dances etc. Loved them!
