They took the time to diagnose my vehicle, didn't try to upsell me on unnecessary repairs, and charged me fairly. In a world where many people dread taking a car to a mechanic, this team was a breath of fresh air. Now for the embarrassing part... I was driving my mom's car when the check engine light came on and the car quit running. Convinced it was something major, I had it towed to Velocity Auto Care. Even the AAA driver didn't realize what was actually wrong. The diagnosis? The car was out of gas. Completely out of gas. That's it. Gas. They could have easily made me feel foolish, but instead they treated me with grace. Special shout out to Mr Jason, he was kind, professional, respectful, and had me back on the road quickly. While he had it, he also turned my rotors and installed new brakes on the front. I was stunned that all that -- parts and all -- was under $400. Price wise/ quality wise -- you can't beat it!! Because of road construction, these guys are a little hard to get to -- but it's worth the trip. Highly recommended!

Mel, who is the owner of MDC, tracked down the problem and was able to fix it at half the cost of the other place. This is my experience. Had heard good things about Bubba's Automotive. Went in and talked to them…read more(9-08) about working on my vehicle. Gave them all the details and also told them I was not in any rush for the vehicle. They scheduled work to start on 9-15. Dropped off vehicle on 9-11. Went in on 9-22 (day 8) to check on status. When asked, the owner got annoyed that I was even asking the question. He accused me of trying to rush the job. Again, I said that I was not in a rush for the vehicle, I just wanted to be kept informed on its status. Went in again on 11-3 (day 50) to verify they still had my phone number, (had heard nothing from them). The owner told me nothing had been done on my vehicle. I got a call on 11-14 (day 64) that the vehicle was ready. I went in on 11-17 (day 67) to pick it up. Paid the bill  ($1425.00) and went out to the vehicle. It started but it had a miss. Shut off and started it again, still missing. Went back in and told the owner of the miss. His response was "So?". I told him that the vehicle was not  roadable. He said "I got it running so now you want me to do a full tune-up?". Again, I told him it has to be roadable. He then brought up that , per him, I had tried  rushing the job. If 67+ days to do a job is "Rushing", then I am guilty. As of 1-9 (day 120 ) , I have heard nothing and the "Rushed job" is still not complete.  Please draw your own conclusion.
