Since I started having them install my Tire Rack purchases 10 yrs ago or so, Benson's has become my go to auto shop for everything they do on my family fleet of 5 vehicles Today Benson's demonstrated again why they earn my business and trust. Context: I have a 2024 Toyota Tundra w/ 6k miles. Toyota is replacing at least 100k 2022-24 Tundra engines with brand new crate engines at Toyota's expense. Toyota is doing this massive repair program because there was a major error in mfg those engines - metal machining debris not removed While my vehicle is not listed for recall, I was worried and wanted a slightly early oil change to pull an oil sample to send out to Blackstone Labs and have the Benson's mechanic check for metallic debris in the used oil and magnetic oil plug Explained the situation when I dropped off my vehicle and had the oil changed. 2 samples were pulled and left in tidy bottles wrapped in plastic in my console cupholders when they returned my keys. Also talked to the mechanic about what he saw. He said all clear. Much less debris than a typical first oil change for any vehicle Benson's is always busy but not overwhelmed. A good car shop like that can make good money with volume and not feel pressure to gouge Customers. I've been trying to get tires for my Volkswagen for a while. This is not a common tire so no one has them in stock. At first I went to the dealer and they found $2000 more things they wanted to fix besides just my tires. Then I went to a "discount" place. It's two weeks later, and I'm still waiting for the tires to come in. Finally, I went to Bensons's, like I should have all along. They had taken care of my wife's car before and done a great job. Anyway, Aaron said we can have the tires in two days. He asked me some questions about which ones we needed to make sure we had the right ones. I dealt with Aaron and Isaac. They did the job job quickly and correctly. They did not overcharge me. They did not try to upsell me. They did exactly what was necessary for the car. Took my truck to get the rear end replaced due to a wreck that wasn't my fault. The whole left side was repaired and repainted. Upon drop off no one request to go over my newly fresh painted truck. I went over it myself and have my own pictures. Upon pick up after 2 or so weeks there was a scratch on my left rear door. Cost was $663.00 to fix. TJ claimed he wanted me to go to his guy to repainted the door so he could get a better deal or he would split the cost. I claimed I want to keep it with my shop of choice I trust. Also I wasn't splitting cost being I didn't damage the vehicle on their lot they should take care of what happened on their lot. Tj then claims that I am pulling one over on them or that I'm lying he wishes I never brought my truck over there. Seriously!? I highly recommend you take your vehicle elsewhere. read more

I called Benson's after a couple of very sketchy and scary situations from getting suspension work at NTB on Bay Area. I made a appointment here to have them look over the work NTB had done and diagnose any issues that might need attention on my little Acura TL. First off, make an appointment because they get booked, and for good reason. They went over everything on my car and were pretty quick given the work I needed. I had them replace shocks and struts, and some leaky valve cover gaskets and a sensor on this visit. Believe me when I say this was the first time in a long time I felt good pulling away from an auto shop. Bensons was very upfront about pricing and timeframe on the repairs. I'll be coming back to these guys from now on. Kudos Benson's for taking away my anxiety and doing a stellar job. Also Isaac in the office is super nice and answered any questions I had. It's can be hard to find great, friendly, efficient and affordable car service but by the grace of good people and a God sent of a referral, I found Bensons in Webster!! I have taken 2 vehicles here so far and the service is unmatched. I've had plenty of terrible car service experiences and truly hate dealing with car trouble, but Bensons, helps you feel comfortable and really does everything they can to make the experience as painless as possible! I bought a 2016 Jeep Wrangler from a private buyer a few months ago and yesterday a warning indicator came on and my Jeep was terrifying to drive!! The ESC light came on and the Jeep wouldn't gain traction or drive over 30 mph without notice... I didn't really want to drive it because it felt unsafe and I was positive it was gonna cost me an arm and a leg to fix whatever the issue is... but one call to Bensons, and Tyson took my anxiety way way down! My wife's car had a low pressure warning. She took it to Discount tire, as usual, and they said the nail was too near the sidewall, and that we'd have to replace the tire. And since we were replacing one, we should replace the other. Both tires still had decent tread life of at least 6 mm. I saw the picture of the nail in the tire and thought this was nowhere near the sidewall so she left and I took it to Benson's. They put the car up on the lift and took off the tire. I saw the tire and there was a small hole away from the sidewall. They patched it and put it back on the car. The guy who worked on the car, James, really knew what he was doing. 20 minutes later and $20 and we were on our way. Super friendly people, knowledgeable staff. Saved $700. read more

Took my truck in for coolant leak, possibly water pump. Picked up later that evening to be met with a bill for $271. Turns out the leak was the thermostat housing. Bill details: $180 diagnostic fee!!, $62+ dollars for thermostat hosing & gasket & $20 for Dexcool coolant. REALLY?!!! $180 diagnostic fee!! Checked coolant level when freeze was coming, basically registered no refrigerant, coolant was clear and had no smell, appeared to be almost completely water. MY FIRST AND LAST TIME TO LET BENSONS AUTO TOUCH ANY OF MY VEHICLES!!!! read more

The guys at Bensons are the best. Dropped my truck off on Sunday afternoon when they were closed...they have a convenient key drop box. I was pretty sure it was a blown water pump, and I was hoping and praying that's ALL it was. Peyton called me at 8am Monday with the diagnosis and quote, and said he would try to get it done that day. Called me back at around noon...truck was fixed already! (Thankfully it's was just the water pump..and new belt). They didn't try to squeeze me for more money and repairs( like another shop down the road does). Honest, quick, friendly service. Best mechanic in this side of town. They will educate you what you did wrong to cause the issue. Only problem is you will need to make an appointment which will normally be 3-4 weeks before they are available.
