Spent $43K for garden terrace and retaining wall rework. Crew did a pretty good job, but I had to…read moreintervene for corrections. Terrace was not angled or extended as planned and steps were angled. Biggest issues are: they used a considerable amount of our existing river rock to back fill some of the retaining wall; they were supposed to put clean fill first in terraces, but dumped left over gravel/rocks/sand in them and covered with a few inches of dirt - we removed several 5 gal buckets of rocks from them and added several bags of top soil; they did remove the gravel/sand from one section and added clean dirt; they put down straw matting and some grass seed over a large portion of the yard where grass was killed, but they did that over hard dirt, gravel and rocks they spilled on the project- I had to till the soil, pick out buckets of rocks, and add soil and grass seed; they broke marked sprinkler heads and crimped the sprinkler line- said they would repair in the spring (although irrigation damage is excluded in their terms), but then told us to have sprinkler company repair and bill them when sprinklers were turned on in spring; had to complain a bit to get them to come back and do some "fixes"- for example requested they fill gaps left between steps and terrace walls - eventually they did; left over sand/gravel was spread in a few areas of the yard and a pile dumped in the nature preserve behind house. Bottom line, fair terrace work, bad attention to detail and clean up caused us to have to do a LOT of work to try and get the yard back together.

I will say to bring your patience if you're buying anything. They constantly have issues with their point of sale system and it takes forever to check out. Side note-the Refuge (the indoor/decor portion of the business) is a little more pricey.

We had Greenlife come out to landscape our front yard several years ago and it still looks great. They provided quality, hearty plantings for our front yard flower bed. Not so with the "cheaper" landscaper we had landscape a small project in our backyard last year - only about half the plantings came back and they did a poor job of building up the flower beds. Greenlife also provided prompt, responsive and friendly service. They are our go to landscapers, and we won't make the mistake of going for the discount landscapers again.

We knew we had drainage issue in front of our walk out basement onto the cement patio, but had no…read moreidea the extent of the issue. Our sub pump ran all the time (at least once an hour), and once the standing water under the cement was revealed we understood why. We felt suddenly thrown into a crazy renovation show where the contractor called and said, "I need you to come see this" and we were faced with a larger, more expensive job. But what could have been a nightmare, was made into a relatively short painless process. Steve and Outdoor Oasis worked hard to come up with creative solutions to our drainage issues while trying to stay in budget and give us a beautiful backyard patio. We love the new space and are still amazed at the end result. We are already planning phase 2! All that and our sub pump maybe goes off once a day now! Highly recommend.
