How can my front porch not be nekkid to passers-by as I write this review? We called these folks to come take a look to see if they could save our tree. Alas, we had a borer problem. Super customer service (not in the nagging, we're going to try to upsell you on every single issue but want to help you save your tree, kind of way). Comes in to check in on our tree. For a slight cost ($150/year x3 years) they come out, check in, give us advice for maintaining our tree and stick in the tree-saving lollipops. OK...so is $150 a year a bit much? Mayhaps. But we really do LOVE our Linden.

We agreed, but when they came back, they said they would have to increase the price. After some bickering back and forth, I agreed. They did most of the work, but refused to remove one damaged limb that was resting on my house because it was too high for the equipment they had with them. So, after they left, I got out my long extension ladder and raised it as high as it would go. I climbed it, climbed up into the tree and cut off and removed the limb myself. I'm in my 70's. I complained to the company in writing and to the Better Business Bureau but Omaha Tree chose to ignore my complaint with no response.

They were efficient, cleaned up all of the branches, and returned promptly to address one additional tree that I wanted trimmed up. Although communication with them via email isn't optimal, it is possible and it is helpful for those who aren't able to call 100% of the time during normal working hours.

Here's the timeline of our experience…read more July 2nd - We accepted a reasonable tree trimming proposal which put us on their work schedule. The timeline depended on OPPD dropping our line. July 31st - Wind storm. I requested a quote for removing the tree. August 28th - Received email stating the work will start on August 30th for the initial trimming proposal. Never received a quote for removal. August 29th - Rep came out to quote the tree removal. The quote was comparatively much more expensive for removal plus the representative told us the original trimming quote was now void and the new trimming quote is now triple the original. This work was supposed to start the next day. We denied any work proposal. It was poor communication that we were left in the dark about getting a quote for tree removal. The last minute bait and switch on the trimming price reeked of opportunistic exploitation.
