From Wednesday to Friday there was a lot of video game time and not much structured activity. He enjoys this kind of camp but felt it "wasn't worth the money," and we agreed.

He came home with the game he designed and had some trouble getting it to work on his computer. But my son is a bit of a geek and loves to try and figure out these technical problems. He was able to and now has the game installed on his computer. The camp is definitely not cheap. We decided to send him strictly to day camp because it save us $500. Note to ID Staff: that is pricey for 4 night stay! We are lucky because we have relatives near the university and they were able to take care of our son for the week he was at camp. The teachers are young college students/graduates and were very knowledgeable and engaging with the students. No stuffy professors here. They were also very careful with our children's safety and the parents had to follow the rules when picking up and dropping off the kids for camp. I appreciated that. Our son said the food was just ok. But really, we didn't expect a 5 course meal to be served to him. These are kids. Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, turkey sandwich is really all that the kids want. We are planning another adventure at ID Tech camp this year. Programming in Java. He is really looking forward to attending again this year. Yes, this camp is a bit expensive but we put a little money aside each pay check so we can send our kids to camp each summer. Our boys know that we save all year to send them to camp. This is a good lesson for them to learn as well. When you budget for camp it makes it an easier decision to send them. Especially when they ask and want to go to camp.

This season I visited twice, during the day and the night, and both times I was lucky to have snow. The Winter Park does NOT create snow! However, at Bowers Farm, tubing occurs in snow, rain, wind or shine! Since they use a special surface made up of recycled traffic barrels which provides tubing in any weather. Tickets are available, in advance, online for their 50 minute time slots. You are asked to come 30 minutes before your time slot to sort out tickets, waivers, and watch a quick safety video. Tubers need to walk up the hill and pull their tube along with them. At the top, staff are present to assist you into your tube or wax the bottom of your tube if necessary. In my case, I got an extra push! I got some real speed tubing down! The Winter Park has general access to a cozy bonfire, farm store, straw tower play structure , basketball hoops, and farm animals! I can't wait to visit the Winter Park next season!

They have a few farm animals mainly sheep and goat we saw. They have an indoor shop with food and gifts. They have eggs, meat, and a bunch of other food you can buy that's all made from the farm. I would go again! Music was good and it was overall super fun! The staff was great too! There's 4 lanes to go down and they're all the same.

The museum is beautiful, free for general admission to Genesee county residents- non residents so pay a small admission fee.. special attractions and installations do have a separate entry fee even for local residents, but the mini g displays are really lovely so it's worth it.. before the renovation I toured the Titanic display several years ago and it was brilliant!! They've put in new displays and cultural features and kept the old charm, too.. Lots of stuff for families particularly for children.. if you like local history, this charming museum is it! They have a nice gift shop and a Coffee Beanery and free wifi, too.. Centrally located in the heart of the city's cultural center so it's close to other local tourism spots and highlights like Whiting, FIA, the library, Flint Institute of Music, Buick Gallery, Flint Youth Theatre, Applewood and Longway Planetarium, and Whaley . I really like the improvements- it's definitely changed for the better.

Would rather spend my money in Detroit or Grand Rapids.
