Lakewood is a beautiful cemetary. I have my parents, in-laws, Uncle, my dogs, friends and have 2…read morelots for my husband and I. I had trouble in the past with former employees there and had to really fight to have my parents moved because of poor drainage where they were. That was in 2012. They did finally move them at no cost to us and we bought our lots next to theirs As did my sister. It has improved over the years but for what you pay, all of the roads Should be repaved. They also need to work on their drainage issues. My biggest gripe is the Pet Cemetary. It's a cozy section near the cannon but there is no proper sign and it's not really fixed up the way it could be. But NOW, they do have the best employee there, Jennifer Price, who started over a year ago. She is fantastic at what she does and truly cares about peoples needs. I think with her in charge that things will get done. I met her just last week and she seemed so energetic and confident. She knew her stuff and listened to our needs and assured us that everything would be taken care of. Maybe Lakewood can put in a few more benches, just random ones so the people visiting have a place to sit and admire the beauty of this cemetary. After all, most of the visitors are elderly. They would enjoy the pleasure of a bench. I hope Lakewood appreciates the services that Jennifer has done and continues to do.

My mother asked me to make an appointment to pick up my father's ashes. I was able to make the…read moreappointment for the next day, then I find out another family member insisted on changing the day and making our mother wait another 4 days a grieving widow. This other family member wasn't even in charge; my mother asked me to do this! They were really rude to me, and they allowed the other family member to do this. I was really upset and dumbfounded by the whole situation. Just be aware if one has to go through this, and you have this one family member who thinks they are in charge, just know they will do what they say. I really don't have any relations to this family member anymore after all this in general. Now they were nice to my mother, so I do appreciate that. I don't know what this other family member told them, but I wish they had honored the appointment for the next day.
