I was seen quickly, which is great, as is there anything more tedious than waiting for an appointment? I found the assisting nurse to be very friendly and thoughtful. She anticipated questions I might have about the process and explained what the PA would be doing before I saw the PA which was helpful and calming for me. The PA was effective and professional. I wouldn't say she had a friendly "bedside" manner, but not everyone needs to have that affect. She didn't make me feel uncomfortable and she wasn't cold. This practice has the PA/doctor do the scan while the assisting nurse takes photos (with permission) with an iPad. The whole thing was done very quickly, but I did not feel it was rushed. I also had a mole on my earlobe removed. This was painless, over in a moment, and it healed well. Overall, I was satisfied with the care I received and scheduled my followup at the same practice.

Show up 15 minutes early, after a 45 minute drive, to be told the doctor they scheduled me with does not participate in my insurance. No, no one else can see me today....can I come back next week? So here I am, one week and another 45 minute drive later, sitting in the waiting room at 9AM when I had an 8:30AM appointment. If they're running behind at 8:30 in the morning, I can't imagine how long one waits for an afternoon appointment! I got in to see the PA at 9:05. She was very thorough, explained everything, so I'm very satisfied with the actual care given. But it is now noon, and my pharmacy still has not received my prescriptions. I've had to repeat that my insurance will not approve a medication the office provided several times and only gotten it resolved by going directly to an office to speak with a staff member. The Port Jervis location in NY has a receptionist who gives me (a person of color) dirty looks each time I go there. Even asking for the wi-fi password they did not seem to appreciate that I was speaking to them. Today I went to follow up because I had to get bloodwork submitted to them in order to try Accutane. They were supposed to call me but I had no messages from them. Turns out they called me "a million times" according to the acting physician and because they need "consistent follow-up" they decided I am not a good fit for Accutane. Mind, I'm not on it nor was it ordered. I apologized because I'd been having phone issues and asked to just update my contact info. They repeated what they'd said and when I said "okay" they turned around and left. I did the same. No asking me if I would like a follow-up appointment, no further elaboration. "Yeah so we asked you to do bloodwork and we were going to call you to confirm when we received it, we called you a million times including your emergency numbers and you didn't respond, so we feel you are not a good fit, we're not going to do anything about it have a good day no we don't care that you're sorry." I was on Azelaic Acid and Trentinoin for a while. They gave me a month supply which was a single tube. I had to go to 2 visits for them to agree that my skin damage was too extensive for one tube a month. I spoke with an older doctor who saw the damage and said "yeah, you need more than Acid/Trentinoin." Completely invalidated what the last 3 doctors said. Every doctor I spoke to after him gave me a side-eye like I wasn't supposed to know that.

I was Greeted in a friendly and welcoming manner as I was handed a clipboard to complete some paperwork. While completing the papers Judy came out and introduced herself and offered me water/coffee as I continued my papers. Judy brought me to an office and explained the procedure I was having. She wanted to make sure I was fully aware of the procedure and the after care of my skin. What a professional!!! I wanted to wait to mention the laser skin resurfacing procedure that I had done until I found what the results were going to be. Well here are my findings, The procedure was not painful whatsoever and I was informed of every thing that was going to be done Judy took the time to take care of my eyes to ensure that they were safe. This procedure was pain-free and the downtime was about I would say seven days. I followed the skin care routine the Judy advises and I could not be happier. My skin feels softer, looks so my healthier, and the change of skin all together is satisfying and my husband even commented on how nice my skin looks. Thank you Judy, your a gem. I have had it where I was the first appointment of the day and was ushered back really quickly. There are other days where the office is full of patients and I have had to wait. She is very attentive and listens to what you have to say and she always answers any questions that i ask. The last time in she made sure to ask me if I wanted a full body check for skin issues. I happen to be someone that deals with Psoriasis... She wanted to make sure that I did not have any other skin issues. She made sure to check all of my moles and freckles In fact I have another appointment with her tomorrow. I was able to get the appointment short notice as well. This helps that I have been going there for a few years. I have recommended that my wife go see her for her skin needs as well. i have also sent a coworker and he had nothing but nice things to say about her as well.
