You see...for the majority of my life, I've had chronic sinus infections (like 3 to 4 a year), and I finally made a huge decision that will benefit for years to come. Before I talk too much about the care here, I just want to shout out to the office staff at Englewood ENT. They are always accommodating, and the online appointment feature makes it a breeze to schedule things online. By the time I was through with my procedure, the staff got to know me personally - and that is something you need when going through an intense medical procedure. While all the doctors here are wonderful, Dr. Ojo is really special. Her bedside manner is calm and informative, and she patiently explains everything while you ask questions. Over the years we've gotten to know each other a little more (especially since I saw her the most this year), and not only is she an awesome doctor, but a wonderful person, too. (I know that being a great physician is top priority in every medical case, but it doesn't hurt to support someone who is genuinely awesome!) My sinus journey is a long one. As I mentioned, I grew up having chronic sinus infections - perhaps one or two per season. Most people only get one or two of them in their lives. I would fall into this pattern of seeing urgent care doctors, they would give me a z-pac which wouldn't be strong enough, and the infection would be reoccurring. By the end of winter, I would be so badly infected that I would go into Dr. Ojo's office and she would kindly and playfully admonish me on why it took me so long to get to her office. This year, she picked up on this pattern and we realized that for the past 5 years or so, I would come to her every year (nearly to the same day, around Valentine's Day) with a terrible sinus infection that's brewed all year. She's always mentioned that I should consider getting my deviated septum fixed, but I was always scared of the surgery. This year, however, I happened to have five sinus infections from November to April (plus the flu thrown in there), and Dr. Ojo recommended a CT scan to see what was going on. Turn's out, my deviated septum was way worse than anyone could have imagined - it was so bad that she asked if I got into a car accident or got hit in the nose with something. After many years of dealing with infections and antibiotics, I finally made the jump and entrusted Dr. Ojo to do the surgery - and I am so glad I did! It is an outpatient surgery (you can see my review of the place on my profile), and you will be recovering for about 10 days, plus follow up appointments in the weeks to come. Most people associate sinus surgery with black eyes and a swollen face - not so with Dr. Ojo! She has the magic touch and my post-op went great without complications. Most people couldn't even tell I had surgery, even days after it was all said and done. It is pretty amazing that she knows how to perform such an intense surgery in a compact and delicate area. I am officially 9 weeks post-op and have never felt better! I can BREATHE through both nostrils, which I've never been able to do in my life! And I am SO ready to get a common cold like everyone else! If you are consider such a surgery, I can't recommend Dr. Ojo enough. She really changed my life for the better! Not to mention, this whole thing reminds us of how important it is to see an ENT when it comes to things like colds and allergies.

This place has somewhat limited insurance options but I took a chance and paid out of pocket based on some of the positive reviews I saw and I was glad I came here as the whole place was well organized, clean and the wait time was minimal. The staff was also very friendly and well informed. My followup appointment with the audiologist was also without fuss and I was in and out very quickly and I got the results right away. This place is definitely very good so you know you'll get quality care, but just make sure you check in advance to make sure you have a good idea of insurance options just to make sure you don't end up paying more than you expect to. The folks here are very helpful with that.

Nurses and ultrasound technicians are great as well. Everyone is professional. Dr. O'Brien is sharp; she delivered my son. The team may seem not too chatty, but that's because if they see all is good and they sense it from afar, they won't waste anyone's time. My daughter was born out of state which was a bummer but they still took care of me throughout my pregnancy knowing that I am from NY and could be going into labor in my home state. I have been going here now for about 5 years and although I still just work in NJ and haven't moved here, I will keep going to them no matter what. The team is very competent without much fakeness of being supper interested about your life and so on like some others. I rather keep appts short and sweet and hear more talk about the real things. Everytime I feel funny about something, whether it was me being paranoid about not being to get pregnant again, or something else. One of them would say nonesence, you are fine, and fine I was. Lol anyway, we need more of that in our lives, so that's my take on this practice. Also, I have recommended this practice to a friend of mine and she had both of her kids with them as well, so I am glad her experience was just as great as mine.

They seriously need to offer more pain management options for IUD's. They told me to take a bunch…read moreof pain relievers ahead of time and it definitely wasn't enough. The metal speculum hurts insanely for people not used to things inside them. At my previous OBGYN, she used a lidocaine gel to help with sensitivity on the cervix. They only had a spray which is effective for less time and they didn't want to use it when my IUD was removed, only for the re-insertion. I think the staff was nice and caring, but it's honestly disappoint that lidocaine gel isn't the standard and all we're supposed to take is pain relievers for having a rod shoved up our cervix!

Her staff is sweet, professional and her office does not have that assembly line feel that has become quite commonplace. Dr. Parnes really cares and takes her time with you to discuss everything. I would be doing a disservice to myself and to others if I didn't share my opinion about the excellent care and experience I have received from Dr. Cindy Parnes and her entire staff. As a relatively new patient, Dr. Parnes kindly accepted me where several other doctors rejected me as a new patient. Having concerns regarding menopause and feeling too young to accept these changes, Dr. Parnes kindly and professionally addressed my concerns and came up with an effective game plan changing the course of my unhappy situation into one that continues change for the better. We are all unique and different and Dr. Parnes certainly evaluates her patients with that in mind. Her strong confidence, knowledge, and kindness leaves me feeling like I received the latest in medical trends and feeling secure that I am in good hands and the recipient of excellent care. In addition, Dr. Parnes has referred me to Dr. Nirman Tulsyan, a board-certified vascular surgeon. Along with age, menopause, teaching for 31 years, and working out with heavy weights, ugly spider veins became another concern that I didn't want to live with. Dr. Parnes was so enthusiastic to inform me that I did not have to and that insurance would most likely cover the procedure after an ultrasound was preformed. After meeting Dr. Tulsyan who traveled to the Montvale, NJ office to discuss my vein situation I eagerly signed up for the procedure continuing my quest for excellence and striving for total well being. Dr. Tulsyan's calming nature creates an excellent environment for those of us who can be a little apprehensive with the unknown. His excellent listening skills and approachable personality as well as his excellent team performed this procedure on me four times and each time I was confident knowing I was safe and well taken care of. I had been a patient of Dr. Weiss for many years, but had not been notified of this change. I found out that she is no longer working at this address from a Google search on 3-5-26. I believe it would have been courteous to have her practice notify her patients, including me, of this change.

She had the highest reviews, takes my insurance, and seems to provide excellent bedside manner (which is almost close to impossible to find these days). Guess Medical School has some work to do in that dept., MEDICAL SCHOOL DEANS and/or Admission Directors reading this review remember -- Rapport is also apart of the job. Anyhoo, I called and made an appointment with Dr. Weiss, whom is extremely over booked, I had to wait nearly two months to meet with her. And then when I did, I had to cancel and reschedule. But it worked out and I was able to get in to see her. She has a small little office inside a one-level office bldg, across from the tracks in Englewood. The waiting room furniture was out-dated and unpleasant to the eye and very dimly lit, border line dark. Inside the examination rooms, which was small, and had this old clunky white wicker chair, was very ugly and odd that you would find it in a exam room -- it belongs on her patio or deck. Anyhow, I digress... She is very nice, down-to-earth, sorta has this disshoveled look; late 40s, full figured jewish woman, with thick full messy hair with her glasses on top her head, and wears her medical scrubs (not un-normal). She has a dry sense of humor, works well with mine lol. As for thoroughness - she asks all the questions and maybe even twice, to jog your memory if you are having a "senior moment". But what I didn't like was, I sent 20 pages worth of medical information. All her questions could have been answered if she reviewed them before our meeting. It would be nice, for once, if a doctor was up to speed on their patient walking in the door. Quality vs Quantity; Quality always wins in my book. But Money always prevails. She gets a 3 - 3.5 out of 5 stars. Ms. Janet Ross in NOLA still has my loyalty. Ms. Ross always called me personally, and if she was in surgery or delivery, her assistants did. I'm just one of those ppl who likes to hear the results from the doctor, just incase I have questions. Nobody likes to wait for a callback.
