I have driven by this place a few times. Well, we finally had a chance to go there. There was a band that we follow, Mark Berry band. He was playing do a wrangled up my wife, Maria and we went. This place is a bit hidden, by the walls that cover the seating area, outdoors. They have an indoor bar, very welcoming staff. Full bar, liquor and beer. Nice indoor area, cool inside. Very open area, and very clean. Great atmosphere. We sat outside to watch Mark Berry play. They have a trailer for a stage, very country, lol. No hay bales to sit on, so it's not too country. Plenty of seating, picnic tables, outdoor bar. You can sit on the patio, or out over the grass. They have two ramps to get up to the indoor bar, good lighting for the stairs. The bathrooms are clean, four rooms, one is a family bathroom and the other three have unisex bathroom signs. We will definitely go here again. A decent beer selection. And I got to smoke a cigar outside. I brought my own. read more

Upon arrival, I was instantly denied service because of my service dog. I have a seizure disorder and she has been trained to help me. My dog has clear patches on her harness that signify her being a service dog. I have been trying to find a place with live music and a yard for me and my dog to hang out at and have struggled, I thought I found the perfect place, but I guess not. I have never heard of a place with an open yard to not allow dogs... that's unfortunate My suggestion is to allow pets outside. There is no reason for them not be allowed OUTSIDE. Misquotes are allowed but not my service dog .... But all is good, thanks to Screaming Chameleon! As they allow dogs not only outside but inside. So me and my dog were able to relax in the AC ! They will be receiving my high rating. My girl is the bestest well behaved girl and didn't deserve to get denied. read more

Had no idea this place existed. Drove by the other day and made note to come back. Came in today for happy hour. I just got a beer...was a little surprised they didn't have much variety of craft beer. My wife got a top shelf old fashioned and my SIL got a drink called French 75 (gin and champagne cocktail). This beir garten seems to lean more into the craft cocktails than the craft beer, but that's ok. The vibe is nice. Jazz music playing in the background allows for good environment for conversation or watching the game. Nice happy hour space. We would have loved for them to offer some food items, but this was a drinking space exclusively. The place got busy before we left...live music started...great spot!!! This is your next neighborhood bar! If you're looking for a modern day Cheers for your go to bar on the way home from work, this is it. They often have live music, at least four nights a week. If you prefer TVs for your sports entertainment that's happening as well, indoors and outside on the spacious patio. Schertz Creek offers a wood top wrap around bar and quality cocktails, like a smoked old fashioned or chilled manhattan, made by Tony. There's plenty of indoor seating for groups of 4, ,8, even 10 to sit together. The happy hour drinks from 4-7pm are excellent with better quality than most bars in terms of well drinks. However, I highly recommend you get one of their speciality cocktails, it's worth the upgrade. If you prefer a cold brew, they have 24 taps, with many dedicated to local craft breweries serving the best of our Texas brew. I recommend McConauhaze for an IPA but they have several options and plan to add more. Most nights you'll find the owner wandering around taking care of the never ending back end details of a new bar but finding time to socialize with the patrons. The local crowd includes families and you may even catch a dad dancing with his little girl to live music. It's the kind of place you can enjoy everyday. They advertised dogs allowed but apparently that changed due to people not picking up after dogs... I had to take my golden retriever home... every bar with a patio we have been to in schertz and cibolo are dog friendly.... we will stick with old main and 1908.... it's their choice but also mine to socialize with my dogs at their competitor. read more

SCBG is a newly opened establishment that is owned by prior military member. It's a friendly environment with live music and plenty of outdoor space with games and sitting areas to enjoy the day. When you walk in the door you're greeted by the staff make you feel welcome. The actual building is a historical house from Schert's beginnings. They are working with many food trucks/trailers to have food available as well. All in all, it's a great place to hang out with friends and enjoy a drink or two and become part of the SCBG family. read more

We discovered this gem a few days before our son's 21st birthday. We had planned to go somewhere else but changed our mind when we found this place. I'm so glad we did! We had a great time. At this time they didn't serve any food but we were told we could bring our own. The bartenders were so kind & the drinks were delicious! Tuesdays are open mic night.
