Without checking with my insurance, she informed me I needed to pay her 30% of the doctor's fee up front. I did not understand why I had to pay a separate fee for the doctor and not just my regular copay for my insurance. She collected $235.00. As I departed, she informed me that no-one ever asks any questions. While still in the parking lot, I called the insurance company who informed me the only fee I was responsible for is the $100 co-pay to the facility for my procedure. I went back up to the office to speak with Maria and she would not see me. When she came out to call a new patient, I asked her if I could talk to her and she asked me about what. I informed her that I wanted to know more about why she charged me $235.00. She said it was "in case my insurance company did not pay them." What!??! That is not what she told me in her office!! I have never had to pay up front in case my insurance company did not pay. The fact that she lied to me in the first place was suspicious. I asked to cancel my appointment and requested a refund. If you go to see this doctor, make sure you don't pay anything up front and that you check with your insurance company as to how much you are supposed to pay. Do not rely on Maria. I wonder where all that money being collected under the guise of the "doctor's fee" is really going.

I had a less than ideal time scheduled, but the front desk staff had me to the call back list if anything came up that would work better for me. After getting 2 calls a better time did become available and my appointment was switched. Let me start by saying Dr. Goldstein is a wonderful physician. He was patient and thorough. He listened to my concerns and provided great recommendations. However, my first visit wasn't without some frustration! The wait time was literally killing me. I got to the office at 8:30am, as a new patient I was asked to arrive early for the new patient paperwork. The forms took me about seven minutes to complete, there was a total of six pages. The paperwork could really use an update. The font is tiny and hard to read, even for someone with good vision, and the print quality isn't great. Being that the office already uses an online patient portal, it would more helpful to make the new patient forms digital. After completing my forms, the waiting begun. I saw many patients arriving after me, some new and were called into exam rooms before me. By 9:30 I was finally brought into an exam room where an assistant took some information and set things up for the doctor. Then, more waiting. Dr. Goldstein didn't come in until 10:30. Dr. Goldstein was excellent once he arrived. The scheduling and time management definitely needs improvement. It's hard for working people to take time off and extend wait times like this only adds unnecessary stress.. It would be nice to feel that our time is respected just as much as the doctors. On a positive note, the office itself is very clean. Well kept in the front desk staff is friendly. I will continue to see Dr. Goldstein despite the not so great reviews that have been left. I hope that time management is improved by the time my next appointment comes around.

When I call to ask to speak to him, I am again, passed around, disconnected, or some how magically hung up on before I even get to speak. Is posting this the only way I will actually get Dr. Garcia to call me? HELLO?!?! UPDATE: I called AGAIN and finally spoke with someone who said "DR. GARCIA NO LONGER SEES PATIENTS. HE IS THE OFFICE MANAGER." I asked to speak with him. "HE DOES NOT TAKE OR RETURN PERSONAL CALLS." But I am a patient who has been under his care for a year. The staff who run the office are rude and you never get the same person every visit and they never know your history, of which you are expected to explain to them in under 5 minutes for $45. My script that was filled, was not even correct, as the quantity of pills and time per day taken is not the same as the past dosage I was given. This place is horrible. I would not recommend. I fear this place has just turned into a PILL MILL and I am reporting them to the state and the BBB.
