When we finally had the hearing 3 years later I found out I was the one that needed to produce the information to get the case resolved. It was the other party that was responsible and they avoided doing their job! It took me 15 min. to do something that could have been done way before the hearing. When I finally went to finalize the settlement they had spelled my name wrong, had the wrong address, and his phone number as my phone number. It all had to be changed which took more time. Wouldn't you think someone in his office would go over paperwork to make sure it is right? This nightmare is finally over! It is hard to have faith in attorneys, at least this one! Smith a few days ago to update him. I don't believe I should over pay attorney and staff to get same information. They charge high enough. I was over charged because of staff errors. I paid them to fill out forms and they were not filled correctly so they had to be redone many times. Then attorney Smith would take it out on me. I would never recommend this attorney because he must of had rough days often and he would take it out on me with his attitude. If I would have had the money for another retainer fee I would have gotten another attorney when I started my case.

When I retained his counsel, one of the first things Attorney Smith told me was that he felt there were times his clients needed to have their hand held, and other times when they might require a compassionate kick in the butt (not his exact words, but something to that effect). For the nine months he represented me though this trying time of my life, he stayed true to that proclamation.
