I hired Jim Gessner to handle a Workman's Compensation case. It took him over 3 years and 8 months to settle my case. I had very little contact with him during the whole proceedings. I couldn't even get a meeting with him, because I was told he had to make the appointments. That was impossible because he never returned most of my messages I left. When we finally had the hearing 3 years later I found out I was the one that needed to produce the information to get the case resolved. It was the other party that was responsible and they avoided doing their job! It took me 15 min. to do something that could have been done way before the hearing. When I finally went to finalize the settlement they had spelled my name wrong, had the wrong address, and his phone number as my phone number. It all had to be changed which took more time. Wouldn't you think someone in his office would go over paperwork to make sure it is right? This nightmare is finally over! It is hard to have faith in attorneys, at least this one! I want to start by saying that Brad Reynolds is easily one of the best attorneys you could ever want in your corner representing you for a work injury [and/or handling social security disability]. I wish I had hired Brad from the start of my work injury journey--I was electrocuted on the job & fell off a machine into a trench onto a pipeline due to a utility locator not marking/identifying a bundle of powerlines. I suffered numerous injuries (neurological, orthopedic, psychological, etc), had multiple surgeries, received & still going thru on-going therapy (physical, cognitive/speech, neuropsych) 7 1/2 years post-accident. Unfortunately, I had an absolutely terrible experience with another law firm (Black & Jones) for 6 years before making the decision to fire them. I randomly met a legal consultant that was very experienced in Work Comp law. It was a chance encounter that ultimately led to a long conversation about my injury & experience with my case.
