Left my car there for months, I have been calling and every time I called they would say it would be looked at the week after. I just called in today and they said it would be looked at in a few days and I asked for an email so I would have a written record of when it would be fixed because I have been told the wrong dates and they said don't trust a liar and to get the car and then hanged up. I recently had to return my vehicle to this business to check out an issue it was having that this business had previously repaired. I was told they would check it out on one day so I got it there. They didn't do a complete check of it..it was going to be the next week. When I called to check on it..because they didn't call me I was put off for another week. I questioned why they had me bring it to them and lie to me and the guy on the phone said..'Well why don't you come and get your f@(%inhg car? Before I could respond he hung up on me. I took my car to this one out of two services who work on foreign cars. I was new to this area, and had no info on either businesses. I took my car there for an oil leak. In the first week, nothing was done at all, except their "Standard" all over vehicle check. The second week, they said they found 3 places that it was leaking oil from! I authorized them to fix it all because I needed my car back! After paying them over $1700 for the 3 leaks, at the end of the third week, I got my car back. I was told that it would be done the next morning and I was dropped off by a friend. I believe it was 2pm when I finally left. It is still leaking oil. I will never, nor would I recommend anyone else to use this "Foreign car repair". read more

Well, busted flat in Florence...Arrived after closing time in 2nd gear. Received permission to park over night. Matt, one of the technicians happened to be around when we pull in and he began to "check things out" trying to be helpful and offering to plug our motorhome into electric over night. Next day, shop checked ATF fluid temp and noticed the fluid was very black, despite a recent change at Rialta/Poptop Heaven in Yucaipa,Ca. Diagnosed as needing new tranny, but shop would not be able to do the work. Owner said he could replace filter, ATF and gasket, but this would not likely remedy the problem . Discouraged us from spending money on this. We should have listened and saved ourselves $450. He really did not want to do it. But sometimes you throw a Haul Mary Pass and make a touchdown. So after conferring with Brad and Mark, two Rialta gurus on Facebook, we took a chance. When the bill arrived we didn't look at it because we knew we were dealing with an honest man. A few hundred miles down the road, we did look and were surprised at the cost. Still, Jim, the owner had tried to dissuade us and the cost of materials was after all, almost half the bill. What can I say? I think we should have saved ourselves a lot of money and taken his advice. Also, kudos to Matt for directing us to McFarland Park where we waited for a few days and enjoyed our senior discount for electric and water hook ups for $20 a night: good place to hang out if you have to suffer! Really beautiful with very good restaurant overlooking the marina, watching the barges go by. Kept one star in reserve just because it was more expensive than anticipated, but I should have clarified before authorizing the work. read more

Jim and his staff are professional and honest!!! We have a VW beetle that needed a lot of work. We are very happy with how they handled our car and they were always very honest about what needed to be done. The price was what we expected and fair!!! Trying to find people to work and manage customers in a professional way is hard to find. They have it all!!! I would recommend them to anyone that needs work done on foreign cars. read more

Being able to work with Mr Schneider on our BMW challenges was a God send. He and his staff were very easy to work with and couldn't have been more fair. Getting a European car worked on in Florence Alabama isn't a easy and inexpensive task but at Schneider Autoaus they made it both easy and affordable. Took.my Mercedes c230 to them because they claimed to be(specialist) car wasn't running correctly ,they claimed the cam position sensors where dirty said a ( motor engine flush) would correct it even tho I told them I thought the engine balance shaft was bad,$870 later for this magic fix ,car leaves running worse than it was before I took it in ,needless to say I took it to Mercedes in Madison , their skilled techicans said it was in fact a bad counter shafts plastic gears being bad ,and laughed about the magic engine flushing machine that only Schneiders only had! 2240 dollars and five weeks later and still the car isn't fixed. I was told if didn't like it I could get my car. This is a shop that swaps parts until they get it correctly. If you need your car fixed, and not just a basic oil change I would go elsewhere. read more

Big mistake taking my car here they had it for 8 weeks. Could not get it running. Had to have it taken to Mercedes dealer in Huntsville. They still charged me for work. They don't know what they are doing. Save yourself a nightmare. Go to the dealer. Huntsville Mercedes had it running in one day. read more

Folks if you're looking for a shop thats going to give you false expectations, let your car sit untouched for over 30 days, AND the owner gets mad and tells you to take your business elsewhere BECAUSE YOU ASK WHEN YOUR CAR WILL BE FIXED, THEN this is the shop for you! Call Jim, he wont disappoint! You've been warned! Im a new customer. Car dropped off. Spoke with owner Jim. Drivers door locks/unlocks intermittently; passenger door always locked. Need repaired. Said he'd call back w/estimate. Never did. I had to call back a week later for it. Quoted $2600.00. Extremely high but needed it done. Made no mention of car parts needing to be ordered til later (keep reading). Another week passed with no call from Jim. Called shop, spoke to employee. Said parts ordered with dealer eight days ago; still no parts.I told him that Jim FAILED to tell me that parts needed to be ordered. THIS needed to be mentioned when given quote and told WHEN to expect parts. Asked him to call dealer for status of parts. He called back and said ''parts will be in here in a few days''. A ''few days'' turned into another week with no call from shop. Car has now been in shop, untouched, for three weeks. Called shop, now told by Jim parts coming from Germany and he has ''no idea'' when they would be in. Yes, he, the owner, actually told me, his customer, that he has ''NO IDEA''. Id be embarrassed to give this type of idiotic response to my customers. Correct me if Im wrong but isnt it common sense for Jim to have asked WHEN parts can be expected? that would be the next logical question that he should have asked his vendor.Told Jim Im picking up my car since he cant give me a response and I was refusing to leave my car just sitting in his shop unattended any longer since I needed it. Told him to call me when parts arrive. I asked for a ride to shop. He sent driver who presented me with a bill for parts with a note from Jim saying that I needed to pay for parts before picking up my car (made no mention of this on the phone when I spoke to him). Arrived at shop, Jim not in. Asked employee when are parts arriving. He said ''I dont know''.Told him since he didnt know I wasnt paying for parts in advance. Week later, Jim leaves message saying parts are in. Called shop asked for Jim but xfrd to employee. Employee said three days max for car to be completed. Dropped off car. Another week gone. No call or car! Called shop and spoke with employee who was honest enough to tell me that mechanic assigned to car was being continuously pulled by Jim to complete other customer cars leaving my car unattended with no repair. When I confronted Jim about this he yelled saying " I dont know when your car will be worked on AND that passenger door wont open''. Told him I was picking my car up since to me it was obvious that this idiot (Jim) didnt know how to fix my car. Minutes later a text from Jim saying that before I can have my car I needed to pay for parts and ''find someone else to install''. Was charged over $1700 for two actuators, two door handles and two very short rods AND labor. I get the mark up but this was OUTRAGEOUS! Car was given to me with freshly applied sticky glue on door that got all over my hands while I tried to close my door, and my door panel THROWN in my backseat. I had to ask one of the guys to at least put the panel back on which he did in less than five minutes. In total, my car spent over 30 days here with ZERO REPAIRS MADE AND when confronted he couldnt even give a reasonable response! I left with the car in the same condition (not repaired) and with a paid invoice of over $1700.00! He should have been truthful from the start by telling me he had no idea how to fix my car or didnt have any time too. Instead he chose to show the true ASSHOLE that he is by doing NOTHING and telling me to have parts installed somewhere else! Btw, Jim could have returned these parts back to his vendor for credit but he chose to add insult to injury by charging me and over inflating price.
