Being that it had been over a decade since my last visit, I was no longer in the system and had to be registered as a new patient. She's a hot commodity, so it was about a 2-3 month wait for a new patient appointment. So definitely plan ahead. Her process is very thorough and efficient, and she is very direct, yet tactful in her approach. You may find complaints on some medical sites because (some) Americans are quick to label directness as rudeness. We have one life, one body... I wouldn't want anyone pussyfooting around when it comes to my health. Shoot it to me straight and fast. I appreciate her level of professionalism and concern. I also thoroughly appreciate how knowledgeable and diverse she is on various matters. For example, how she acknowledges and recognizes that my needs, as a woman of African descent, are unique, instead of lumping my diagnosis and treatment into the general pool with methods that wouldn't work for or benefit me. Dr. Kim is an amazing doctor. If you're looking for a PCP or a doctor who specializes in internal medicine, look no further and give her office a call.

My girlfriends and I have an extended group of "recruits" - all who have been really happy with this find. As women, we have all experienced being "shut down" when attempting to question or debate specific medical, treatment or suggested care by various doctors. There was one nice nurse and I wished I remembered her name. Dr. Robbins is nice and friendly but I don't recommend going there if you have United Healthcare insurance. She tells you to pay a $200 fee and "she will refund your money if insurance pays her". Don't fall for it. What she does is gets the $200 from you and then she sends the full visit amount of $350 in to insurance and they pay her the contracted discounted price of $136. She is charging you the $200 to make up the difference. This is shady and in my opinion theft! I fought her with my insurance company for 10 months and was finally awarded my money back. She actually told me on a phone call that she was making up the difference and when I stated that her discounted contractual amount was not my problem she then tried to tell me it was for the testosterone pellets that insurance does not cover. They do not cost $200. So warning if you are insured. I wouldn't go there unless you want to fight for a refund for months. I fought twice and won twice and will never be back. Might have been worth it a little bit if her staff wasn't so rude.... I suggest Dr. Kathy Maupin's office!

At the appointment, which was on time, it was obvious she had reviewed my appointment inches-thick pile of records. She was helpful, asked questions, made suggestions, and together we developed a plan for further diagnostics. I probably won't need to see her again, but I would not hesitate to if needed. She treated me with care and respect, listened, and didn't need to act as though she had all the answers. She also provided a recommendation for a physician in another field who will be better suited to my needs, and ordered lab tests to provide that doctor with information she will need. I was able to get the labs done quickly a few minutes later in the same building complex. Peace of mind and minimal hassle.

I duly showed up that day and upon entry to sign in and confirm I had arrived; I went to the counter to speak with the receptionist. My attention was quickly drawn to a series of grooves in the counter, presumably a design feature. My attention was drawn there because of the massive amount of grime in the grooves. IT WAS OBVIOUS the counter hadn't been cleaner in WEEKS, if not MONTHS. I took a picture; feel free to download it and throw up. My new primary care doctor (Kyle BRANSON) was pretty good, and I have no complaints with his care; such as it was. Needless to say, my visit included an order to visit a Quest Diagnostics lab for bloodwork; which I immediately arranged, and did attend, on the following Monday. So far so good. Unfortunately, due to issues with Quest's system, I was unable to obtain my blood work results. No biggie, I thought, I'll contact the hospital. Before I got a chance to do so, I received a letter that day, telling me Dr. BRANSON was leaving St. Lukes hospital. QUITE WHY I COULDN'T BE TOLD THIS AT THE TIME I MADE MY APPOINTMENT TO SEE HIM IS TOTALLY BEYOND ME - WHY WASTE MY TIME SETTING UP A NEW PRIMARY IF HE'S LEAVING ANYWAY!!! Anyway, I contacted St. Lukes again to inquire about my blood work to be told that they do in fact have the results, and they would leave a message with the physician; and to expect a call within the next twenty-four to 48 hours. It has now been six days and surprise, surprise, NOTHING. Methinks, it is time for me to seek greener pastures when it comes to my care; St. Lukes cannot be relied upon to provide appropriate care and services!!!!
