However, after four days, instead of the matter moving forward, I received another call simply to schedule a phone conversation for several days later. I also explained the facts of my case multiple times by email and phone. Despite that, important basic information about the property and my situation did not seem to be clearly understood or communicated internally. At one point, I was even called by the wrong name. That alone would not have been a major issue, but combined with everything else, it raised concerns about how carefully my case was being handled. Another major concern was transparency. During this process, I was communicating by phone and email with several different people at the firm, yet I could not find information about some of them on the firm's website. The website prominently presents Mr. Anthony Burton, so when I retained the firm, I naturally assumed he would have significant involvement in my case. Instead, I found myself communicating with other people whose roles, experience, and backgrounds were not clear to me. For a legal matter, especially a time-sensitive one, I believe clients should know exactly who is handling their case and what that person's qualifications and responsibilities are. Unfortunately, my experience did not give me the level of confidence I expected when hiring a law firm. I hope the firm improves its internal communication, transparency about its team, and the expectations it gives clients before they sign a retainer agreement.

He assured me that all the boxes were checked correctly and to make sure that I left the place broom swept. I also had another case with this company and so my other attorney was trying to prepare something and he needed to include my deposit return, but couldn't find it in the documents submitted. I called Mr. Hunter and was explaining to me that it was right there...then he pulled up the document himself and noticed he missed something and that my deposit was forfeited. He said, "sorry, I messed up" and got off the phone. My deposit was $5,000, what I had paid them! I reached out to Mr. Martinez to report the issue. He said Mr. Hunter was on vacation and would follow up once he got back on the 16th of July. It is the 27th. I have reached out twice and now Mr. Martinez will not respond. So my recommendation is to stay away from this law firm. I understand that mistakes happen, but take accountability, and more importantly, follow up. The fact that they have done neither shows that integrity is not their strong suit, and that makes them HORRIBLE at best!

You may think this is an exaggeration, but until you've dealt with it and the way it can drag out, you just don't know. If you're facing an eviction necessity, with a difficult tenant, don't hesitate, don't think about it and definitely don't think that you can rationalize with the person, that was my mistake. Simply pick up the phone, fill out the forms and hire Mr. Silverstein and his staff. Once you do that you're in the hands of professionals who know exactly what they're doing and don't need a lot of extra discussion on the matter. Trust me, the fact that he knows exactly what he's doing can save you enormous, enormous amounts of money in the long run. During the month all my phone inquiries were ignored, or I was given bad information, or given run around until the "lawyer" confirmed the "falling in the crack thing." If you asked the staff a question twice, they would hang up on you, or scream at you saying you must call a certain time to get answer! They charged me an arm and a leg for preparing court documents but the documents they prepared were so defective and full of errors that the opponent attorney started laughing at them. I soon found out that I must fight simultaneously with two crooks: the attorney, and defendant! My crook tenant requested jury trial, and my crook attorney demanded $1,600 for preparation and $2,300 per day for court time. When I told him I would represent myself he withheld many court papers and caused me a lot of confusions and unpleasant surprises at the trial. I believe you will have better luck with court janitor to represent you than this attorney!
